Navigating the Lower Saint Lawrence in the 19th Century.

     Montreal, May 21. Launch.
On Saturday morning about half past 11 o'clock, the fine new bark Colborne, 330 tons burthen, built during the winter, for and under the superintendance of Captain Collinson, was launched in very handsom style. Much of her rigging had been fitted, and a part of her first cargo, (a quantity of hardwood) put on board, while she was on the stocks. The rest of her cargo, we are informed, will be taken in at the Cross where she now lies.
The launch was witnessed by a great number of spectators, who testified their approbation of the scene, as is usually on such occasionas, by three hearty cheers. The brig Weatherall, also built at the same yard for Captain Collinson, will be launched, it is expected, in about six weeks.
