# we the undersigned John Le Boutillier and

Macdonald, land surveyor, |
|||
* | on her late voyage from London, aforesaid, to the ports of Quebec and Montreal, both in this said Privince, | Daniel aforesaid, *
loaded with a general cargo, duly and
carefully surveyed and examined, one bale of
drawers and two boxes of books landed and
stored under lock in a store on the east side
of Port Daniel River beach and saved from the
wreck of the said barque or vessel called the
Colborne. We therefore do hereby certify and declare that on such survey, we have carefully examined the said bale of drawers and two boxes of books and find the same so much damaged, and in a perishable state as to require to be sold without further delay, which we strongly recommend to be done as the only means of securing the interest of all parties interested or concerned therein. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands at Port Daniel in the County, District and Province aforesaid (where no stamps are used) this twenty fifth day of October, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight, having signed two certificates, both of this tenor and date. |
