Schedule:
- Registration 1:30-4:30pm with free refreshments provided 2-4pm
- Exhibition Scrimmage 2-3pm
- Free On-Ice Demonstrations and Activities 3:15-5:00pm
- Take a shot on a goaltender
- Shoot at the net (no goaltender)
- Practice stick-handling with a stick and puck
- Mini-skating lessons
- Free Off-Ice Activities 3:15-5:00pm
- Try on hockey equipment
- Eat, drink and socialize
- Door prizes
- Donate to the Ronald McDonald House
*Skate rental provided by Sportsplex for $2 with choice of hockey or figure skates. All other equipment provided
free of charge by the NWIHL.
About the NWIHL:
The Nashville Women's Ice Hockey League formed in 2000 to give women of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to learn and play hockey.
- Coaching provided
- Beginners welcome (We'll teach you!)
- First two practices are free (Initial equipment provided!)
- Four 3-month seasons per year (We play year-round!)
- Tournament and travel opportunities (Play against women's teams from Atlanta, St. Louis, Indiana...!)
- Choose to pay for an entire season (~$130) or pay-as-you-go ($10 practice; $15 game)
- USA-Hockey Sanctioned (Join the FASTEST-GROWING part of USA Hockey with >35,000 players in the USA)
