Annie Gibson Power was born on July 15, 1860 in Galveston, Texas. She married Dr. Joseph VanGasken, MD, on January 7, 1880 in Luling, Texas. Joseph was born on September 25, 1851 in Smyrna, Delaware. His parents were John and Harriet VanGasken.
Joseph died on January 3, 1903 at the age of 51. Annie died in Houston, Texas on April 9, 1937 at the age of 76.
