MTB / Bush Run Challenge (some
navigation skills required)
Lake Parramatta Reserve,

There are 3 ways in which you can compete in this race :
1. RELAY Team Format - Teams of 2 or 3 members compete one at a time and share the stages in a continuous relay format, each team sharing a race bib.
2. GROUP Team Format - Teams of 2 or 3 members must stick together and will be timed when the last member of the team crosses the line in each stage.
Teams can only commence the next stage when all team members have completed the preceding stage.
If a team member is injured or fatigued and cannot continue, the other team member OR members will be allowed to proceed and complete the race.
3. INDIVIDUAL Format – Individuals complete all stages on their own.
Stage 1. RUN 5km – Lake Circuit Run (Clockwise)
Runners attempt to find the shortest route around the extremity of Lake Parramatta, running in a clockwise direction. Some navigation skill is required as there are several forks in the track where a decision will have to be made
Stage 2. MTB 20km – Fallen Tree Track (5 x 4km out
+ back laps)
This course begins with 1km of paved road, then 1 km of fire trail until the turnaround point at the marked “Fallen Tree”. Riders then return to the start and continue. Riders must take care and ride to the left of the track as there will be riders travelling in both directions.
Stage 3. RUN 5km – Lake Circuit Run
(anti-Clockwise)
Runners now run in the opposite direction to Stage 1 and attempt to follow the shortest route. Interesting how different everything looks when travelling the opposite way – there’s your challenge.

Meet 7.30am for 8.00am
start.
Transition Area will be opposite the Toilet
Block. All stages start and finish at the central Transition Area.
Plenty of parking is available and the Kiosk is now open.
Entry Fees (Pre-paid Online) :
Individuals : $40
Teams : $30 per person
NOTE : Entries on the day will be subject to a $5 Late Entry
Fee.
