Social life in Fife isn't the best that the world has to offer i have to admit but the people here in Cupar are certainly ok. The town has it's fair share of decent and anally retentive people just as any where has. There isn't much fear of going out on the streets except a little vigilance on a saturday night. The nightlife scene is quite extensive including many good bars (many of which serve the 'old enough'). There are many night life events such as the 'lounge cinema' which is a kind of film society which shows films each week. There is the 'Jordans' nightclub which i have never personally been in (not my scene) which is part of Watts bar which i believe has a Jazz evening which i would like to check out sometime.

The town often has events but unfortunately the town is too pretentious to encourage the precence of gigs and rock events. There was a time when summer would bring the 'Rock the Haugh' outdoor gig to the Haugh park in the heart of Cupar. Now the haugh has ditched the gig due to protests from neighbours who prefer the annual jazz and brass band events. The local music scene was also prevented from using the Cupar Corn Exchange due to accusations of damage to the soundproofing inside the walls by none other a force than sound.................yeah, thats what i thought. This hall used to host the amazing annual gig which i was the poster designer in 2004 (i'm gonna scan in my desing soon).

There are often gigs around the area in places like Falkland, Craigrothie, Glenrothes and there are always gigs in Edinburgh, Dundee, St Andrews and Glasgow.

The mission is a club i've come to love. It is a nightclub in Edinburgh in a place called studio 24. The club does two sessions: one from 6 till 1030 i think then another later for over 18's. The Mission places rock music in an old cinema/pub that has been in the city for a very long time. The dowstairs plays music like slipknot to A to System of a Down to the fucking timewarp(BLASPHEMEY) the upstairs, what i assume to be the old projection room, they usually play Future industrial/ techno goth music as well as heavy metal and thrash etc.
