Beck is one of the origional members of Meatatorium that got together at the weeklong house party that spawned the band what seems like years ago in the summer of 2004. Beck is our endless supply of raw ideas as he is forever playing totally useable material though it requires the efforts of the whole band to document these good ideas and also to pick them from the sea of otherwise useless ideas and make sure that he doesn't forget them completely. Though a little intimidated by the prospect of singing on stage i think that the event at the reading rooms showed him that screaming 'MARCH TO GLORY' at the top of your lungs is quite a release and is in many ways very very fun.
Beck and I are the core of Meatatorium in my mind as we are the ones who most frequently get together and write songs. Beck however is like me in the fact that at these frequent practice sessions we like to just jam and no real practicing goes on.
As far as the band goes beck has always been a guitarist as it seemed that was what he was best suited to having not really learned any other intruments. A good side to this was Beck's ability it assimilate any style of music into our music as he has been proving recently as we write a song compiled from many pieces of classical music |
