He has provided hundred of millions of American dollars to big pharmaceutical companies to develop new malaria drugs. However, it is the fault of these companies that malaria develops resistance to the drugs in the first place. These comapnies refuse to do anything about the fake drugs, fake versions of their own drugs which flood the market with weak dose medicines, effectively innoculating the disease against the treatment. Normally these companies are all too eager to take legal action against people ripping off their "intellectual property" but they're very reluctant in this case. They say it would be bad for business to admit dangerous versions of their drug on the market (more dangerous than associating their brand name with drugs that strengthen disease and kill people? surely this can only be part of a conscious strategy of population control.) The money Bill Gates in spending would be better spent on handing out mosquito nets to third worlders, or on giving them zebra constumes (zebras look like that because it drives away disease bearing insects). Carnegie was also evil, gunning down the working man and then lavishing his blood money on his reputation. THE NONE-TO-SUBTLE SURVEILLANCE OF NORMAN BAKER MP Why is Norman Baker MP (LibDem) being spied on by the MoD. IS it because he is trying to access the files held on him by MI5? Or because he is investigating the murder of Dr David Kelly? His researcher has received "odd" phone calls, some of which are being investigated by the police. This researcher phoned a friend in Yorkshire and got through instead to the Ministry of Defence "Control Operations Centre". See "Private Eye" #1151. LADY DI WAS MURDERED Again the media are supporting the party line, that Henri Paul was drunk and the death of Di was a "tragic accident" as the BBC says. Not so. Let's go over the facts of the case again. Henri Paul was an agent of the Secret Intelligence Service, known as MI6. No-one saw Henri Paul drinking that night and he was acting like a sober man, bending over to tie his shoelaces and so on. They say they have confirmed that the blood sample was, indeed, his, and that prove he was drunk. They have studiously avoided mentioning the fact that the sample of blood was also unexplainedly saturated with carbon monoxide. The car, driven by MI6 asset Paul, had headed along a different road from that which would have been the quickest route to their supposed destination. The glancing blow on the white Fiat that supposedly sent them out of control would have been very unlikely to do so. The Motorbike in the tunnel with them has never been traced, possibly because it was an MI6 INCREMENT death squad bike used to blind the driver, who had been directed to the tunnel by his MI6 handler, with a strobe light (a technique pioneered by the Stasi East German death squads in the 80s). DON'T LET THE BASTARDS GRIND YOU DOWN DON'T FREE TIBET Even apart from the murderousness of the previous Tibetan regime and the dominance of the country by Lamaism, Tibet has always been part of China, one of the five nations of China, the Han, the Mongols, the Manchus, the Tibetans and the tribal people. Tobet is, it's true, labouring under a brutal dictatorship, but that doesn't stop us doing business with them and buying the proceeds of their slave labour. Tibet, in fact, benefited from the Chinese conquest (although it may have benefited more if we had annexed it after Younghusband's expedition in 1903, rather than letting the Chinamen conquer it in 1910 and again later on, for the final time). The Dalai Lama, the current 14th Dalai Lama is himself a Chinaman, born and raised in China in a Chinese speaking family with only vague ethnic connections to Tibet. Tibet for many centuries has been a Chinese protectorate. The centralisation of power under the Communists served to eliminate many brutal warlords, not just the Dalai Lama. At least now the country isn't ruled by a bunch of venal and nepotistic monks who abstract about a fifth of the male population in their youth to be made into monks. Tibet also has links with the Nazis through Ernst Schafer of the Ahnenerbe. The Bon swastika was used by the Nazis and the Bon and subsquent Tibetan magicians have always been much partial to human sacrifice. The brutal lamas did the same thing under the rule of lamaism. MICROCHIPPING: MARK OF SATAN? Microchips are regularly implanted into animals, RFID chips. There's a surfing club in Australia that makes its members have implanted microchips with which they pay for drinks and other club services. There have long been RADAR reflectors small enough to implant in a butterfly. There is technology that allows implants to be put into the brain of a cat to control it and to use it's eyes as cameras. There is the stimoceiver. Trust nothing trust no-one. Has your cat been playing up recently? Perhaps it has been kidnapped by the Military Industrial Complex and inplanted with devices that can read the signals from its optical nerves and transmit them back to HeadQuarters, spying on you. Are you being followed by insects? Perhaps they are also programmed, it's all been done, and are following your scent (like sniffer bees), equipped with a RADAR reflector small enough to sit on the back of a butterfly. Hearing Voices? Ultrasound and microwaves beamed to you by the government. Losing your memory? EDOM. Computer breakdown? HERF gun. MEDIA AWARENESS CAMPAIGN FOR UNIVERSAL MICROCHIPPING The media have been running this acclimatisation effort for the NWO for many years now, whether with the vet programmes our animal loving nation so enjoys or with sci-fi programmes such as Stargate SG-1 (in which the Tohlen have microchips in them). FALSE FLAG "They wouldn't do that!" "It couldn't happen here!" They do. It can. It does. Anything for power, and the simple and wholesome thrill of murderous cruelty. Here, then, is a very brief elucidation upon false flag terror tactics and the terrorism of the state in the "it-can't-happen-here" countries. The SAS, if you remeber, were caught red-handed driving civilian vehicles around Baghdad and gunning down innocent civilians. They were busted out of jail by some Warrior armoured vehicles and that was that, no more has been said about the matter. The Gulf of Tonkin, a massive overreaction by American sailors who mistook a storm for an attack by Vietnamese torpedo boats and wasted a lot of ammunition shooting at a non-existent enemy while the government at home used it as an excuse to launch a major attack on north Vietnam. The reason for the Vietnam war itself, of course, was American support for a dictatorship in the south (a far more brutal and less popular dictatorship than the one in the north) and American refusals to hold the promised referendum in the south on reunification (because they knew they're lose). Operation Gladio. Here's the big one. CIA terrorist atrocities, kidnapping and murder in Western Europe. Originally Gladio was set up, we are told, by the CIA and MI6 as stay behind forces in the vent of a Soviet invasion. However there were stay behinds in the ukraine, INSIDE the Soviet Union, sponsored by MI6, launching terorist attacks into the 1960s. Germany also had its stay behind organisation, the Nazi Werewolves. However, despite this stay-behind network extending across Europe (including neutral countries), with the Portuguese branch getting involved in child pornography, the Belgians in murder, Head Office in the JFK hit and the British wing in the attempted ouster of Harold Wilson the Italian wing is most notorious due to its many terrorist outrage, all blamed on the communists, including the murder of Aldo Moro. Nonetheless the truth will out, as they say, and eventually it did. The murder of Aldo Moro, incidentally, was almost certainly CARRIED OUT by left wing extremists but whether they were really left wingers, rather than Intelligence inflitrators, and whether they were acting on their own initiative or at the behest of the totally CIA controlled upper echelons of their organisation is a matter of debate. One of the earlist in American history was the USS Maine incident. Although it's still unknown whether the Americans blew up their own battleship on purpose or through incompetence they chose, either way, to blame it on the Spaniards and take the opportunity to conquer the Spanish Empire, which is how they got their grubby little hands on Guantanamo Bay. More famous is Operation Himmler, or Operation Canned Meat, the staged Polish raid on a Nazi radio station (actually concentration camp prisoners forced to impersonate Poles and then shot). On the whole the German aggression towards Poland is over-hyped as their was an oppressed German population in Poland (Hitler was neither the first nor the last to use oppression as an excuse for military adventurism) and the Poles, in their brief two decades of national existence, had involved themselves in six aggressive wars, including invading the Soviet Union with the intention of annexing the Ukraine, and had even comtemplated conquering Germany. The wave of appalling terrorism against the [minority] inhabitants of Poland, and the atrocities that have been taking place in that country are terrible for the victims, but intolerable for a Great Power which has been expected to remain a passive onlooker. We will not continue to tolerate the persecution of the minority, the killing of many, and their forcible removal under the most cruel conditions. I see no way by which I can induce the government of Poland to adopt a peaceful solution. Project Northwoods was an aborted plan from the people who spent their time strafing Cuban tourist resorts and trying to send Castro poisoned cigars to make his beard, which they though had magical psychological powers, fall out. The idea was to launch terrorist attacks against American targets then pin the blame on Cuba as an excuse for invasion. Sound familiar? It's been the same throughout history: provoke the population by making it look like they're under attack to make them COMMIT an attack, as in Goebbel's famous quote: "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger. Therefore: If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State. Yep, it's always the same way. Government is built on lies. Murderous lies, generally speaking. Killing people and making it look like an accident or suicide. Killing civilians and making it look like "they" did it. The whole idea si to create an entirely false world-view in the populace. MK-Ultra/Artichoke wasn't really a false flag operation, it was a system of experimentation on torture and mind control carried out partly on captured Soviet spies and partly on unwitting American citizens. Part of it seems to have been a British operation taking place at Porton Down, but that still hasn't come out except that Frank Olsen was there before his execution. Pearl Harbour. Possibly the ultimate flase flag operation. Rather than commit an atrocity and blame it on the enemy they convinced the enemy to do it themselves. The Americans embargoed the Japanese oil trade, facing the Japs with the end of their industrial civilisation and a return to pastoralism and an agricultural society. There was no way the Japanese, or any government, could put up with that. And they didn't. Just as was always expected. The Gehlen Org was a very successful false-flag operation. The CIA reactivated Gehlen's Nazi intelligence network in Eastern Europe but the whole gang was riddled with Soviet spies and so acted as a feed of flase information for the KGB. A Russian flase flag operation. Anothe Russian example is the one which has now killed Alexander Litvinienko, who was making a nuisance of himself in intelligence circle by drawing attention to the KGB (now FSB) bombing campain in Russian pre-9/11. The FSB was blowing up blocks of flats to frame the Chechnyans as an excuse for the then-upcoming invasion. The Werewolves, Nazi stay-behind forces, launched terrorist attackes after the fall of the Reich but whose orders they were working on I don't know. They had been inflitrated by both Western and Communist intelligence. The CIA, the world's leading drug smugglers, tried to frame the Sandinista government in Nicaragua as drug smugglers when the reality was that the Contras, the CIA proxy forces, were smuggling drugs into the USA with the tacit agreement of the CIA (at least) and using the money to fight the CIA's enemies, the Sandinistas. The mad mullahs of Iran were armed, despite being America's world enemy number two, after the Soviets, the keep the profitable war between them and the Iraqis going and to raise money for yet more dirty deals in Nicaragua. Osama himself was a CIA agent, as was Saddam. Bin Laden received massive CIA arms shipments back when he was our friend and Saddam started his political career as a CIA hitman attempting to kill Adbul Qasim al Karim. you don't read that in the papers. Course, it's well known that Shakespeare didn't really exist. And that if he did, he was lots of people. And they were all women, and that all his plays were written by Alan Bleasdale. And that Shakespeare shot Kennedy, and that Lee Harvey Oswald was nothing but a pansy. They don't put that on Newsnight, though, do they? -- A Bit of Fry and Laurie The Mukden Incident. The Japanese precipitated their invasion of Manchuria by blowing up one of their own trains in that province and then invading. They eventually snuffed out China almost entirely. The bomb was placed underneath the train, similar to the 7/7 attacks in London. The Madrid bombing was also similar to the Gladio orchestrated Bologna station-bombing. The Americans are supporting Interior Ministry death squads and secret prisons in Iraq (including in prisons supposedly abandon since the invasion) while maintaining the pretence that the shi'ite militia are IRANIAN puppets. Many innocent Sunnis, along with many enemies of America, have been eliminated by the forces sworn to protect them in this manner. OKC. McVeigh was training at an American military base specialising in demolitions trainging after he suppsedly left the Army. A military base had a Ryder truck similar to that used in the attack on the day before the bombing. All the evidence points to an inside job. 9/11 / 7/7 / 21/7. All false flag operations. 21/7 was undertaken to interrupt the investigation into 7/7. The bus that exploded on 7/7 was diverted into Tavistock Square by two unmarked cars, according to an eye witness who was on the bus that day. TAVISTOCK Square. They're LAUGHING at us. The Tavistock Institute is a major pillar of the New World Order by infilitrating psychology, as it is sworn to do, into the everyday live of the people, to control and mould minds despite the lack of any scientific validity to their science. The American Psychological Association was founded by Nazi war criminals escaped from the SS. See the book "Mass Murderers in White Coats". Today Bush is trying to force psychology on ALL American children through the New Freedom Inititative and Blair is trying to identify anti-social elements in the womb for whole-life intervention. None of the "suicide bombers" acted like they were going to die. Two of the 7/7 "bombers" were MI6 or MI5 assets. could it be that they were conned into thinking they were taking part in an exercise but were given REAL bombs by their handlers? On both 7/7 and 9/11 simulations were being run of EXACTLY what happened. In the 9/11 simulation the Pentagon was running a simulation of hijacked airliners being used as missiles and in the London one a man who used to be in intelligence was running a company which was simulating attack on EXACTLY the same stations that were bombed SIMULTANEOUSLY, JUST AS IT REALLY WAS. The 9/11 bombers spent the night before their "martyrdom operation" cavorting with prostitutes and taking drugs and drinking to excess. Hardly the acts of courageous warriors for Allah. It was, in short, the "New Pearl Harbour" the Project for a New American Century had hoped for. Some footage has just come out of one of the 21/7 "bombers" in a train carriage being confronted by a part time fireman who was the only man not to run away when the detonator went off. Why didn't he run away? Could it be that he was expecting it? Was he, in fact, an MI6 asset, as at least some of the bombers are known to have been? He didn't tackle the bomber, although after the detonator had failed to set off the bomb it no longer posed any threat. He was talking to the "bomber" and his hand gestures said "stay there". He chased the "bomber" out of the station but failed to catch him, after having him corner in a tube carriage. They didn't release the bit of footage that would have shown the explosion itself and the "bomber"'s reaction to it, to see if he was surprised, perhaps. The bomb was being carried in a rucksack, an unusual way for a suicide bomber to operate, they normally strap the bomb around their torsoes as that make it less likely they'll be caught before they can detonate it and makes it easier to detonate. The bombs on 7/7 and 21/7 also weren't set off by the supposed "suicide bombers" but were set off simulatenously either by remote control or timer. Why would a suicide bomber carry his bomb in a way most likely to fail, then not set it off himself? We know some of the "bombers", specifically the older ones, natural leaders and gurus for the groups, were MI6 assets. Cult leaders are a common tool of the intelligence services. Perhaps, it's certainly pausible, but if so why the rucksacks and why not have the bombers set themselves off at the moment that would do the most damage, rather than the arbitray remote or timer detonation (which doesn't require a "human guided missile" at all, but could just be planted in a bin or somewhere, like the IRA did)? Because, logic dictates, they didn't know they were suicide bombers. That would explain why the 21/7 bombs failed to go off despite the successful operation of the detonators, the most complex and difficult part of any bomb. The government want to keep the fear going, wanted to disrupt the 7/7 investigation but certainly didn't want the bad publicity associated with another fifty deaths. They want you thinking "only Mister Tony can save me", not "Mister Tony's murderously incompetent". MI6 had tricked them, probably into thinking they were couriers or something similarly innocuous, or at worst that they were involved in some kind of drill, a practice run to see how they'd deal with the real thing. Then they were blown up from afar. You can't trust the intelligence services. The Peter Power whose consultancy was running the simulations on 7/7 has been running letter bombing simulations immediately before the current outbreak of letter bombings. He is, of course, the former head anti-terrorism officer at Soctland Yard. Power fo the Yard is the enemy, here, not the supposed "terrorists" he preemptively imitates. And see here for WTC7. The P2 lodge in Italy which was running a fascist state-within-a-state as part of the Gladio network was presented by SISMI and MI5/6 as a KGB plot when in fact it was nothing of the sort. The idea was to deflect attention from the real plot, that by the CIA, British Intelligence and SISMI. Martin Short, in "Inside the Brotherhood" revealed the conspiracy for what it was. MI5 tried to portray Harold Wilson, the then Prime Minister, as a KGB asset by manufacturing photos of him in Moscow with a woman and then showing them to the press (the pictures never appeared in the press, they were just shown to journos for fear that they might be spotted as fakes). Information was fed to Private Eye to indicate the same. David Icke has been fed similar information in recent times. There was, in fact, a real plot for a military coup, not just a campaign of libel. The plan was for the tanks to roll into London and the Queen's cousin, the notoriously incompetent Earl Mountbatten of Burma who was later blown up by the IRA, be appointed dictator. The terrorists are too close to home for comfort. SDP - LDP - CIA! I will summarise the above link, which is all that is necessary. The Nazis in the CIA wanted some stooges to serve their purposes of underminging the British left-wing, as the Thactherites ahd done to the Right. The traditional right, that is, the soc-called Tory Grandees. The Labour Party, which the media would have us believe was a bunch of out-of-control unionists and commie-loving soviet-huggers was becoming ever more democratic, the opposite of what the culture masters would have you believe, and was subjecting all of its MPs to regular reselection to ensure that they represented the views of the party members they were supposed to be representing, rather than just taking a seat in a safe Labour area and then acting with impunity with no chance of being deselected. Soem Labour MPs were very worried about this as they were known to harbour right-wing inclination which were extremely distasteful to their constituents. They were facing deselection. They were disillusioned with socialism, they had lost their faith in the will and power of government to make the lives of the people better and all that remained of their former populst zeal was an unquenchable lust for power. So they broke away to found their own party, at the instigation of the CIA, for the worthy motive of saving their own jobs as MPs. The Left wwas broken and never recovered, nor does it show any signs of doing so. It was divided and kept out of power until all of them lost faith and changed sides. That is the story of the founding of the SDP. THE BBC AND 9/11 I have seen the greatest piece of agitprop ever made and it was made by the BBC. No crude comparison of the ideological enemy to rats, no "HATE HATE KILL KILL", it as all a very subtle piece of hate-mongering. It was a sinister, almost feminine, effort to smear the movement to uncover the truth about 9/11, it was "The Conspiracy Files" programme on BBC Two about 9/11. It was subtle, but it was still agitprop. They barely covered the most interesting of the conspiracy theories, only briefly mentioning the simulation going on at the time or EXACTLY WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED as a slight conincidence then they forgot about it. They didn't mention the air defences being stood down at all. They didn't mention the people who saw holes drilled to put demolition explosive in, nor the people who heard the radio message that WTC 7 was about to be "pull[ed]". They always gave the proponents of the most bizarre and unrealistic theory of all, the official conspiracy theory, the last word and it was clearly a hatchet job from start to finish. The only "conspiracy theory" given a fair hearing was the one about Jews in the buildings being forewarned, but this was just another part of the propaganda. The whole Jews forewarned theory was put forward by the CIA through their tools in "Hezbollah" to discredit the Truth movement with the dread label "anti-semite". Despite this it was given airtime and they had some woman on whose brother was killed in the World Trade Centre saying how her supposedly Jewish brother (he had converted to Judaism, which might not be enough anyway for the racists of Mossad so this wuld hardly prove anything anyway) had died trying to save others and hadn't been warned by anyone, the whole time they had her accompanied by emotive music and ended her interview (done at ground zero) with a comment that the Truth movement would never accept the official point of view, no matter how distressing it was for the familes. Tell it to 9/11 Familes for Truth I say. They interviewed Frank Spotnitz, a scriptwriter from the X-Files, and the writier of the now infamous first episode of "the Lone Gunman" which presaged 9/11. He denied everything, of course, nothing else could be expected on international TV but it was still used as evidence that there was nothing to the conspiracy theories despite all the evidence. The programme ended with ten minutes of reinforcing the official line, always being sympathetic to the conspiracy theorists, how the horror of 9/11 broke their minds so they couldn't believe the "truth" the BBC puts forward. The most feminine method of demonisation there is. Don't hate them, pity them, but ignore their mad rantings nonetheless. Just ignore the man behind the curtain. Typical shaming ploy. But what evidence have the defenders of orthodoxy put forward, in this programme or elsewhere? None. Work done by "independent" scientists "not funded by the government" (long the refrain of the CIA disinofrmation agent) and the one real argument put forward in the BBC programme: "You're wrong", "they're wrong", "it just goes to show how wrong these people can be" and similar variations on the theme, always using the word "wrong". It's the Big Lie technique. Tell a lie, make it a big one, then repeat it as loudly and as often as possible until people start to believe it. As I say, the programme ended with the Official Conspiracy Theory being given the last word, as it was throughout the programme, with ten minutes to repeat the official story and help out the Big Lie department at the Political Warfare Executive or whatever organisation has replaced it. They did however let slip a part of the official stroy I hadn't heard before, for I am by no means an expert on this particular false flag attack. Some of the "terrorists" rented a room from an FBI informant! Shades of MLK. This together with the facts that the "terrorists" were seen drinking and whoring before their "martyrdom" and at least some are known to still be alive today shows the official story to be nothing but nonsense. You all know the official story of 9/11, claiming incompetence rather than malevelance on the part of the government so there's no reaso to go into that now. I admit it was a masterful piece of propaganda, but the truth it seeks to obscure is still the same: only the government poses a threat to our way of life and only the government has the power to pose a threat to our way of life, not a bunch of mad arabs living in a cave. Let's have a look at the real truth the BBC had to be so careful to avoid. The air defences were not only distracted by the simulation, but were called off. There was a simulation going on at the same time simulating exactly the same thing, designed to cause confusion and to give deniability. This is a pattern and similar exercises, drill and simulations have taken place on several other occasions, most notoriously on 7/7 on the tube. An order was given to "pull" WTC7, possibly to destory a command post used during the attack. Puffs from explosions were seen preceding the collapse of the building. The official explanation that these were caused by air compressed by the collapse doesn't hold water, they puffs were always 20 or 30 stories ahead of the collapse, never came out at the weakest point (or at already broken windows, or which there were many) or along the entire floor as compressed air would have done. The puffs were also at regular intervals going down the building, every few stories. Holes had been seen in the core of the building, drilled for these explosives to be placed. Mossad knew in advance. So did the writers of the first episode of "The Lone Gunman". This wasn't done to warn people, though, it was done so they could laugh at the ignorant people seeing and not knowing it was really going to happen. Like the Bush speech where he made fun of people having believed his WMD lies with his rich friends. "No WMDs here!" They laugh at us! Alex Jones also predicted 9/11. Jones predicted the 9/11 attack in a July 2001 television taping when he warned that the Globalists were going to attack New York and blame it on their asset Osama bin Laden. THE HISTORY OF THE BBC The BBC has always been a useful propaganda tool for the government, not least because of tis totally unearned reputation for neutrality and objectivity. As long ago as the fifties MI6 used the BBC World Service to signal the commencement of the coup against Prime Minister Mossadeq of Iran, a democratically elected leader. Stephen Dorril, in his book "MI6, Fifty Years of Special Operations" offers countless examples of the BBC acting as an unoffical adjunct of British foreign policy, as have several other media outlets, often set up by MI6, PWE or other intelligence operations without even the employees and broadcasters knowing who they really work for. At Orgreave to BBC edited news footage to make it look like the Miners had attacked first rather than the police, which was very useful to the government of the time. Even during the General Strike or 1926, before the BBC was even incorporated, it refused to air the Union's views (luckily the unions owned the most popular newspaper in the country at the time, the only one not to go on strike, which was the most popular in the country until shut down because they couldn't attract corpoarte advertising despite the circulation figures). ORWELL AND BUSH Orwell's Prevention of Literature: The organized lying practiced by totalitarian states is not, as is sometimes claimed, a temporary expedient of the same nature as military deception. It is something integral to totalitarianism, something that would still continue even if concentration camps and secret police forces had ceased to be necessary. Among intelligent Communists there is an underground legend to the effect that although the Russian government is obliged now to deal in lying propaganda, frame-up trials, and so forth, it is secretly recording the true facts and will publish them at some future time. We can, I believe, be quite certain that this is not the case, because the mentality implied by such an action is that of a liberal historian who believes that the past cannot be altered and that a correct knowledge of history is valuable as a matter of course. From the totalitarian point of view history is something to be created rather than learned. A totalitarian state is in effect a theocracy, and its ruling caste, in order to keep its position, has to be thought of as infallible. But since, in practice, no one is infallible, it is frequently necessary to rearrange past events in order to show that this or that mistake was not made, or that this or that imaginary triumph actually happened. Then again, every major change in policy demands a corresponding change of doctrine and a revelation of prominent historical figures. This kind of thing happens everywhere, but is clearly likelier to lead to outright falsification in societies where only one opinion is permissible at any given moment. Totalitarianism demands, in fact, the continuous alteration of the past, and in the long run probably demands a disbelief in the very existence of objective truth. The friends of totalitarianism in this country usually tend to argue that since absolute truth is not attainable, a big lie is no worse than a little lie. Insurgents have a large number of Italian-made side arms, all recent-model weapons, and what is even more disturbing, with illegible or non-existent serial numbers. ... However, the weapons found by the Americans are state-of-the-art 92 models, which are standard U.S. Armed Forces issue, among others. ... In fact, the United States has become a major market in side arms, because regulations governing the sale of handguns allow wholesalers to purchase very large quantities of weapons. The only difference is the price. The U.S. Marines pay $263 for a Beretta 92, but in Falluja, the going rate is $850 dollars. ... The crucial detail is the erasure of the serial numbers. The numbers do not appear to have been physically removed. Instead, the guns seem to have come off the production line without any serial numbers, or they could have been erased with high-tech industrial technology. The lack of serial numbers suggests that the weapons were intended for intelligence operations or terrorist cells with substantial government backing. The investigating magistrates in Brescia are reminded of an old inquiry by the Anti-mafia authority into a stock of Beretta pistols with no serial numbers, or with the serial numbers erased. The mystery involved preliminary investigations by Judge Carlo Palermo, but failed to reach any conclusions. Now the Americans face a similar quandary, but on a much larger scale. The total number of weapons found when Saddam fell, and recovered during anti-insurgency operations, runs into the many thousands. The final figure will certainly exceed 10,000, and the Brescia public prosecutor's office will have to try to shed light on their origin. This sort of thing is common in Italy, land of Gladio, Compass Rose and P2. So: There were also media reports that British arms and equipment exported to Iraq, specifically some of a consignment of 20,000 used Beretta Italian police pistols, were being diverted to terrorists. But the latest and most interesting development on the small-arms front in Iraq was the news in May that the Pentagon has secretly shipped tens of thousands of small arms to Iraq from Bosnia-Herzegovina in the past two years, using a web of private companies. At least one supplier is a noted arms smuggler, Viktor Bout, blacklisted by Washington and the United Nations. The US government arranged for delivery of at least 200,000 Kalashnikov machine-guns, together with tens of millions of rounds of ammunition, from Bosnia to Iraq in 2004-05, according to a report by Amnesty International, which investigated the sales. But though the weaponry was said to be for arming the fledgling Iraqi military, there is no evidence the guns reached their intended recipient. The US and local authorities in Iraq and Bosnia when questioned could not or would not account for the deliveries and denied all knowledge of any weapons purchases from Bosnia. Hmm. Coincidence, I suppose. The Americans send 20,000 Berettas to Iraq, no-one ever sees them again and 10,000 suddenly end up in the hands of "terrorists". I wonder if carabinieri weapons have serial numbers. I like this: The British Broadcasting Corp's File on Four program said it was shown paperwork about a consignment of 20,000 AK-47-type assault rifles that shows they were imported by a company in the north of England called York Guns Ltd, which sells shotguns and sporting rifles. Its managing director Gary Hyde denied having imported the AK-47s and claimed that a third-party dealer had legally brought them into the United Kingdom. Women who became pregnant “without permission” had two choices: abortion or live in total isolation before the delivery. Those few members who managed to escape spoke of torture and of chemicals as well as powerful drugs which were given to the members in order to keep them in a constant lethargic state. Letters between Germany and the colony had been censored; radio, newspapers and television sets banned, contact with the surrounding world reduced to a minimum. MARR'S RIGHT-WING HIT PIECE The BBC has monstrously fucked up again by making a hard-right paean to fascism and anti-democracy in Britain. Andrew Marr's hard-right propaganda piece "Andrew Marr's Modern History of Britain" is what I mean. As usual with fascists he had to plaster his name all over it to satisfy his deluded sense of self importance. I hesitate to call it a documentary. The idea that he puts forward, for example, that the unions should have accepted In Place of Strife, which would have meant the end of the unions (by outlawing those without a licence from the state to operate) and the destruction of their bargaining power (by making them criminally liable for strike-related losses and by outlawing sympathetic picketing). The truth is Thatcher was ideologically opposed to the unions and plotted against them from the beginning. There was nothing they could have done differently bar abject surrender, which would have won them no concessions whatsoever.
