| The GCC will act as a focal point for community outcomes / needs Work in community development Expand "key stakeholders" i.e., government and business community Coordinate Resources Act as a clearinghouse to maximize and pool money and other resources for one stop shopping human service delivery The GCC will be more collaborative Use more shared workgroups (i.e., with the United Way and the Community Foundation) Serve in a planning capacity for public a private funds Change attitudes - "break out of the box" Recognize other agencies' / organizations' / groups' strength, skills, etc. Empower people and neighborhoods and better use of existing facilities The GCC will develop structure to assess needs and appropriate resources Develop a new vision Broaden our funding base and build flexibility Coordinate resources (county-wide grant writer, staffing, resources) with more county government input Do county-wide needs assessment and county mapping |
