Construction responsibilities include acting as Resident Engineer for transportation and water- related construction projects. Design responsibilities include development of drawings and plan sets and specifications for water and wastewater-related projects in IL.
Engineering Intern, May 2000 to August 2000, January 2001 Skender Construction Company, Palos Hills, IL Performed estimating tasks, including quantity take-off, obtaining bids from subcontractors, and developing final bids for commercial buildings and apartments. Developed submittal logs and assisted in change-order processes.
Research with Professor Liang Liu, January 2001 to May 2002 University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Tested and developed new computerized construction inspection forms on the Internet for the DCRA/BLRA, Building Inspection Division, for the Government of the District of Columbia. Researched the use of 3-D photogrammetry for construction inspections and electronic sensors in concrete structures.
