The performance she and her accompanist gave was mellow and a bit esoteric at times. Tara was flailing about slowly, to the music of her accompanist's electric bass. Throughout the performance, Tara also played acoustic guitar. Tara had a wonderful stage presence and she cracked jokes between songs.
When the performance was over, I felt very happy. The next act, the Grapes Of Wrath, came onto the stage at 9:35 pm while the crowd cheered and applauded. The Grapes played new songs and old favorites. They also reminisced about the PNE of old, and how the Coliseum just isn't the same without hockey.
I wildly moved my head to the very loud music. Although I've heard Grapes Of Wrath in the past, their music didn't interest me then. Their show has convinced me that they are actually a solid band. The two performances combined were the best ones I've seen in a long while, and at an affordable $4 PNE admission fee, I got more than my money's worth.
