
Flexible and
innovative learning and teaching is part of Manufacturing Engineering’s goals
to provide a variety of learning options to students. Our section plays a
significant role in research, implementation and supporting flexible and
innovative learning and teaching strategies across the Institute, State and
Internationally for a variety of manufacturing and engineering areas.
Manufacturing
Engineering has developed a "Blended e-Learning model" with six
scenarios for our students and teachers who have different levels of computer
skills and different learning preferences. The blended e-Learning is a
combination of different learning and teaching strategies that include:
Students who
enrol in any blended e-Learning course are able to access learning materials via
the Internet at anytime and anyplace. They are also provided with support via
orientation sessions as well as on-going educational technology support to
develop student's online learning skills and to help students use Internet
technologies and access learning materials in the Learning Management System.
