I have added some information that I learned while in Sacramento at the California Paraeducator Conference.
As of January 8, 2002, the No Child Left Behind Act was inacted. This states that all new Title 1 employees must have an AA degree OR 2 years of study at an institution of higher education, OR meet a rigorous standard of quality state or local academic assessment. If you were hired before January 8, 2002, you have 4 years to complete this requirement. If you would like more information, please go to:
