Does it matter what I say? Probably not, but it needs to be said. You people deserve what you voted for. Just let me explain what you voted for.
Who can fill his shoes?
For all you guys out there, I will address you in this first commentary. Whenever you dirty ol' men see an attractive babe we know what's on your mind.
Sometimes a President Is Just a President; February 13, 2009; New York Times; by Judith Warner
I will file this story under "P" for absolutely pathetic.
The other night I dreamt of Barack Obama. He was taking a shower right when I needed to get into the bathroom to shave my legs, and then he was being yelled at by my husband, Max, for smoking in the house. It was not clear whether Max was feeling protective of the president's health or jealous because of the cigarette.
Do I need to justify my classification of "P"? By the way, what would the Times say about cigarettes if Bush smoked?
The other day a friend of mine confided that in the weeks leading up to the election, the Obamas' apparent joy as a couple had made her just miserable. Their marriage looked so much happier than hers. Their life seemed so perfect. "I was at a place where I was tempted daily to throttle my husband," she said.
Guess "P" also stands for puke, cuz that's what I am doing now reading this so-called journalism coming from the "national paper of record"?
"This coincided with Michelle saying the most beautiful things about Barack. Each time I heard her speak about him I got tears in my eyes - because I felt so far away from that kind of bliss in my own life and perhaps even more, because I was so moved by her expressions of devotion to him. And unlike previous presidential couples, they are our age, have children the same age and (just imagine the stress of daily life on the campaign) by all accounts should have been fighting even more than we were."
You babes reading this, are you wanting to get in his pants too?
Many women - not too surprisingly - were dreaming about sex with the president. In these dreams, the women replaced Michelle with greater or lesser guilt or, in the case of a 62-year-old woman in North Florida, whose dream was reported to me by her daughter, found a fully above-board solution: "Michelle had divorced Barack because he had become 'too much of a star.' He then married my mother, who was oh so proud to be the first lady," the daughter wrote me.
See any other reasons why The New York Times is losing tons of money?
YES WE CAN!!!!
Now for all you naysayers out there who doubted the Messiah's promise to all you little guys out there, here is what you voted for. Time to celebrate.
Billions in tax cuts for families and businesses; By STEPHEN OHLEMACHER, Associated Press; Feb 12, 2009
Who needs a job when you now will be able to retire after a few months of extra cash in your pockets after this huge tax break.
Millions of workers would soon see an extra $13 in their weekly paychecks and thousands of small businesses operating in the red could get tax refunds under the economic recovery bill nearing completion in Congress
Now there you have it. This is the answer to all of your needs. C'mon Eye, don't you know that this is just the beginning. Things are going to get better, this is only the beginning.
Businesses won't fare as well as they did in earlier versions of the legislation. But most of the tax cuts for families and individuals were preserved, though some were reduced.
Can I translate the gobbleygook? Businesses will see a tax increase and the tax cuts where it will really help the guy on the street like capital gains will be increased. So the 13 bucks a week more you get, will get dwarfed by price increases on consumer goods and huge losses on any stocks you might own. YES WE CAN!!
"There are provisions that could pay you now and some that could pay you later," said Amy McAnarney, executive director of the Tax Institute at H&R Block. "They're going to give you money to spend, and then they're going to give you incentives to spend it."
Now don't you spend that huge windfall in one place or rathole it. You will ruin the economy. C'mon Eye, like I said, this is only the first phase of what this great stimulus plan is, we can see more and bigger things next year.
Meltdown 101: Highlights of economic stimulus plan; By JIM ABRAMS, Associated Press Writer Jim Abrams; Feb 11, 2009
Q: What are some of the tax breaks in the bill?
A: It includes Obama's signature "Making Work Pay" tax credit for 95 percent of workers, though negotiators agreed to trim the credit to $400 a year instead of $500 - or $800 for married couples, cut from Obama's original proposal of $1,000. It would begin showing up in most workers' paychecks in June as an extra $13 a week in take-home pay, falling to about $8 a week next January.
Yep! It is only the beginning. I'm planning on my worldwide cruise next year. I'm gonna get 7 bucks a week more, course I will be over-extravagent with the 13 bucks extra a week from June to December so the drop of 5 bucks a week won't even be missed.
You got what you voted for!!! Aren't we truly fortunate for having such a caring democrat president and congress.
