Say you're sorry!!!

For Liberals that's all it takes

When I was a kid my mother, at times, made me apologize for things. At one time I apologized for breaking her sewing machine. Actually I was sorry because it was an accident, BUT, the apology didn't fix it. However, I guess I learned a lesson.

Daschle apologizes, fights to salvage nomination; By KEVIN FREKING, Associated Press Writer; Feb 2, 2009
Think Little Tommy Daschole learned his lesson?
Fighting to salvage his Cabinet nomination, Tom Daschle pleaded his case Monday evening in a closed meeting with former Senate colleagues after publicly apologizing for failing to pay more than $120,000 in taxes. President Barack Obama said he was "absolutely" sticking with his nominee for health secretary, and a key senator added an important endorsement.
Little Tommy does have the support of "The One". But, did Tommy learn his lesson?
The White House both underscored the magnitude of the problem and tried to downplay it in the space o f seven words. "Nobody's perfect," said press secretary Robert Gibbs. "It was a serious mistake. ..."
That "nobody's perfect" argument never ever worked for me. Did it work for you?
Daschle, the former Senate Democratic leader, expressed his remorse in a letter to the Finance Committee, saying he was "deeply embarrassed and disappointed" about what he said was an unintentional failure to pay taxes that he owed. He recently filed amended returns for 2005-07 to report $128,203 in back taxes and $11,964 in interest.
Gosh, a simple little error there. BUT, again I ask the question, did Little Tommy Daschole learn from his mistake?
Senate panel approves Geithner for treasury post; By MARTIN CRUTSINGER, AP Economics Writer Martin Crutsinger, Ap Economics Writer Jan 22, 2009

The committee vote came a day after Geithner appeared before the panel to apologize for what he called "careless mistakes" in failing to pay $34,000 in taxes earlier in the decade, when he worked at the International Monetary Fund.
Did Tommy learn anything? Well, hell yesssssss, he learned that all he has to do is feign apologetics and you get what you want. It worked for Geithner, it worked for Charles Rangel, it works for any liberal democrat. I guess Little Tommy isn't as dumb as we all first thought.

If you don't want to apologize, "I can't remember" works for Liberals also

The question for the Broom Lady is, "Do you remember anything from your husband's tenure?"
Clinton eyes Asia for first trip abroad; Feb 2, 2009; by MATTHEW LEE
One thing about the Clinton's, they never apologize for anything. Ask Vince Foster. Oh, sorry, he's ground temperature (and that is damn cold these days, ask Algore).
Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is looking east as she plans her first trip abroad as America's top diplomat.
Her first trip as State Supremo. Did Broomer remember anything? E.g. the WhiteWater Land Scandal, the Rose Hill Law Firm's billing records...
Clinton is expected to visit key North Asian allies Japan and South Korea, as well as China, on her maiden voyage, which will likely begin next week, according to diplomats briefed on the planning. She may also tack on other stops, including possibly one in Southeast Asia, they said on Monday.
Yep she's going east, farrrr east. Does she remember?
In a phone call on Friday, President Barack Obama told Chinese President Hu Jintao that he looked forward "to early contacts and exchanges between senior officials of our two countries," according to the White House.
Odumbo has set the stage for her. BUT does she remember?????
HILL'S CASH EYED AS CHINESE-LAUNDERED; By CHARLES HURT in Washington and ELAINE CHAN in New York

China money linked to Clinton campaign; By Jerry Seper; THE WASHINGTON TIMES
Does she remember? Well, hell yessssss, she remembers where "their" big money donors come from. Why else would she be going East on her first trip breaking decades and decades of precedent visiting Europe first?
