My reader(s) has been clamoring for more. I have been slacking off since the election, after all, Barack Inssein Obama was elected. By the people, I might add.
Living in Japan I get a different perspective on the news. I get treated to such newsworthy stories of Obama's historic election because America elected a black man. Or stories that America has its first black president. Or stories like 'can you believe that America has elected a black as president'.
Wait a minute!!! Isn't that what America is reporting???
The "no-substance" mass media is not restricted to the USA.
The first 100 days....
The all-knowing, all-powerful president elect assumes (or should I say appears in) the presidency on January 20th. He has been in Hawaii working out his first hundred days agenda. Or, should I say, whoever is behind him pulling his strings is working on that agenda.
Obama can't shake the
bowling jokes; By PHILIP ELLIOTT;
KAILUA, Hawaii (AP)
Well the first hundred days will see a rise in his bowling average. Important stuff indeed.
On the golf course Monday, a woman waiting at the 18th green reminded Obama of his disastrous bowling during the presidential campaign. It was an unwelcome reminder for Obama, whose golf game during a 12-day vacation has been just as troublesome.
The lowering of the golf handicap is scheduled for his second 100 days.
"That was pretty good, right?"
Obama said to cheers as he finished a round
of golf near his $9 million rented vacation
home near Honolulu.
Rented for the moment, Tony Rezco is will be working on that from his soon-to-be prison cell.
The woman sitting on a nearby wall shouted, "Better than your bowling."
The woman's quip referred to Obama's embarrassing bowling outing in Pennsylvania, when he knocked down only 37 pins - with the assist during two frames from an 8-year-old. It was an effort to connect with working-class voters, yet he lost Pennsylvania's primary election to Hillary Rodham Clinton.
That 8 year old has been retained as Obama's economic advisor.
Let's get serious. I mentioned in a previous commentary before the election that every story is either a hit piece or a puff piece. Now that election is over, it has changed. Every piece now will be either a puff piece or a "cover" piece. This man will never make a mistake.
What we really can expect in the first 100 days
I am not going to put up any stories to back up these claims. If you have the gumption, you can research his socialist comments/policies for the confirmation you need or seek.
1. Government bailouts out the
whazoo.
You can bet your posterior that YOUR money will go to help 1) the banks and 2) the unions (ala auto companies) and 3) all other liberal establishments.
2. Abortion on demand.
This actually might take 101 days.
3.
Tax increases.
You might be saying, "C'mon Eye, don't you know the first year is the responsibility of the current president?" Yes I know, but the income tax increases will not come until the Messiah's second year, but...... he will institute every other kind of tax increase imaginable, e.g. gas, energy, food, environment, alcohol, cigarettes ad nauseum. They will tax everything you can think of until the congress works on the 2010 budget where they will hit you with an income tax increase.
4.
Abandonment of Israel
Let's face it, the man is a Muslim. If you look at the charter for schools in Indonesia, you will note that non-muslim students are forbidden from entering public schools. Where did Obama attend school his first 8 years?
5.
Stock market prices at "record lows"
6. Employment increase (for a short time)
Actually these go hand in hand. The job creation will come from government expansion programs. This will tank the stock market simply because it is only a redistribution of wealth and not wealth creation.
The pathetic thing about this election is that
the masses of people who voted for him didn't realize that his "change" was and is a gigantic move towards socialism. That's what the democratic leftists have been wanting since FDR and his new deal. Even more pathetic is what's in store after his first 100 days. I hate to sound so alarmist and doom and gloom but here goes.
Socialized medicine
Nationalizing of major private industries
Surrendering of the US military to the United
Nations.
Signing of the Kyoto Accord
Runaway Inflation
Exorbitant interest rates
Reinstitution of the "fairness doctrine"
Federal police force
This list sounds like a death knell for the USA. It is if this Puppet President is allowed to go unchecked. Let's hope the electorate gets serious in 2010, if not -- LOOK UP.
I wish all of you a Happy New Year and all the best in 2009. By the way, there is HOPE. Look up.
