THE EYE KNOWS

I am going to change my format a little bit so I can play a little game. It's simple and one I have been meaning to do for quite some time now. It's called "What did you know and when did you know it?" You remember when they played that game with Nixon and then tried it on Reagan. I want to play it on the DNC. It seems very apropos right now.

What did you know and when did you know it -- RE: Hillary RobThem Clinton?

The DNC, or let me say, those shakers and movers behind the DNC, knew it for quite some time. Of course yours truly here knew it long before most of the plebiscites, (I know Eye, you are such a pompous bastard.) but if you care to go back more than 2 years ago thru my archives you will see where I clearly stated it.

What is it Eye? What is it that you knew before the great unwashed were informed?

Quite simply it was apparent to me years ago that Hillary RobThem Clinton was not electable. Plain and simple, it did not take a rocket scientist to know this or conclude this. Even I could see that. It just took the DNC movers and shakers a long time to break it to the rank and file Democraps. I seriously believe this was figured out even before Billie-bob left office.

So why then, you might ask, did they go through with the primary battles and all the Broom Hillary hype if they knew she wasn't electable?? Here again you need to look at things through the DNC perspective. (I don't refer to the DNC as Howard, the screaming, Dean here. The real DNC are behind the shell and when I speak DNC, I mean those people actually pulling the strings.) The DNC realized as incompetent, flakey, dishonest and disingenuous Billie-bob was, he was still well-liked by the rank and file Democraps. (Doesn't that say something!) They couldn't possibly cut their throats by not going along with the charade of Broomer not being the nominee.

Looking back at the primaries, you can see it. Neither candidate had enough delegates to put them over the top. The nomination was decided by the Super Delegates; and the Super Delegates were told to back Obama. Any democrat reading this blog has to realize the fact that you don't mean anything to the DNC. The DNC will do what it pleases and if you go along with it, fine. If not, then that's all right too. Everyone in unison, BAAAAA, BAAAA. Sort of lends a little more credibility to that nursery rhyme now, doesn't it.

So in conclusion, what did they know and when did they know it? They knew in 2000 Hillary was not electable as president. They figured that out when she barely squeaked by Rick Lazio in her senate race when, at the same time, Algore won New York by more than 25%

What did they know and when did they know it -- RE Obama

This one is a little more tricky. The rank and file fell in love with Obama and so did the DNC. Other than 143 days in the senate before announcing his candidacy, his only claim to fame was one speech in Boston during the 2004 Democratic National Convention. (If you want to read that speech, click here and hurl.)

So with everyone fawning and fainting over a new face along with his way of delivering speeches that actually said nothing, Obamania took over. Odumbo was in and Hillary was out. BUT, trouble was brewing within the mix. Obama's poll numbers fell to oceanic depths leaving pundits, delegates and the rank and file scratching their heads.

Some people knew it long before others, I did anyway. I think it was Paul Begala who said we can't win with blacks and eggheads. He knew it. What were the DNC thinking here, shoring up the black vote? Let's hope they're smarter than that. They would get 92% of that vote without running Obama. They now have a real big problem. If they don't watch out, they run the risk of losing that vote. If they dump Obama and go for the Broomer, they lose big time. If they stay with Odumbo, they lose (barring any major screw up by McModerate).

So the tough questions now are, What did DNC know? They know Obama is not electable. When did they know it? Too damn late.

What did they know and when did they know it -- RE Obama's VP pick?

As I pen this commentary, I toggle back and forth between ABC, NBC and CBS to see if Obama's vp pick has been announced. It is now 22 August 11pm EST and nothing yet.

If you look at the news sites, speculation is running wild on just WHO the Magnanimous One will choose. No one knows. The anticipation is mounting as to whether it's Biden, or Bayh, or Kaine, or this Edwards guy from Texas. One thing we know for sure, it ain't Hillary (the Eye here knew that a long, long time ago as well).

I have to let y'all in on something. I know who it is. And I have known for a long time. It's none of those listed above either. Let me go on record right now before anyone else claims it. The vice presidential running mate for Obama is here
