You gotta hand it to Rush Limbaugh. He has certainly put the Democraps in a quandry, or should I choose to use one of their favorite words -- quagmire. In any event, the run up to the Pennsylvania primary is going to be a fun blood-letting event to behold.
The bad news just keeps on coming
... and just to add to the democrap woes, we have this story.
Florida Dems abandon mail-in vote plan;
By
BRENDAN FARRINGTON, Associated Press
Writer; Mar 17, 2008
Wouldn't you just know it, Florida screws things up again (chuckle, chuckle).
Facing strong opposition, Florida
Democrats
on Monday abandoned plans to hold a do-
over presidential primary with a mail-in vote
and threw the delegate dispute into the lap of
the national party.
No one could invent fiction this good. You have Howard, the screaming machine, Dean in charge of this. For all of you political junkies out there, this is too good to be true.
While the decision by Florida Democrats left
the state's 210 delegates in limbo, Democrats
in Michigan moved closer to holding another
contest on June 3. Legislative leaders
reviewed a measure Monday that would set up
a privately funded, state-administered do-
over primary, The Associated Press
learned.
You hope that someone has their fraud alert program running, we have a situation just primed for fraud here. Or at least one side claiming fraud on the other party. If it gets down to a mail-in it will be hilarious to watch. There will be absolutely no control on the voting then. We might even get to hear Howard Dean scream again.
"A party-run primary or caucus has been
ruled out, and it's simply not possible for the
state to hold another election, even if the
party were to pay for it," Thurman said. "...
This doesn't mean that Democrats are giving
up on Florida voters. It means that a solution
will have to come from the DNC Rules &
Bylaws Committee, which is scheduled to meet
again in April."
Rules? Rules!!? (this Thurman babe has been smoking of the same brand as Howard Dean) If we know one things about the Democraps, there are no rules, especially when it involves Ahab and Jezebel Clinton. They already changed the rules when they disallowed Michigan and Florida primaries from counting. (I really can't stop laughing here.)
"We will continue to work with both Florida
and
Michigan to come to a solution that's fair and
within the rules," said Democratic National
Committee spokeswoman Stacie Paxton.
Rules? Rules!!? Oh, I just said that. Wanna a bet on something? I bet that the DNC comes up with a new set of rules. It's the way Billie-bob and BroomRider want it.
Michael Steinberg, a lawyer for Victor DiMaio, a Democratic Party activist from Tampa, said Florida's Democratic voters are being disenfranchised by not being permitted to have their say in choosing their party's nominee. The action violates DiMaio's constitutional right to equal protection, he argued.
"The citizens of the state of
Florida are not
being treated equally," Steinberg told the
judges.
But Joe Sandler, a lawyer for the Democratic
National Committee, said the party has the
right to set its own the rules and not seat
delegates who refuse to follow them.
There was no indication when the court would
rule.
Gosh, now we need to bring the court in to decide this. Watch out, they may just renominate Bush in this one (pounding the floor with laughter).
This guy wants to lead the military too?
Sometimes a thing that works well becomes a problem. What do you mean Eye? How can that be? Well take for instance the way the US government powers are delegated. The control over the military belongs to the president.
Obama: Trust me to end the war; By MATT APUZZO, Associated Press Writer; Mar 19, 2008
If our friend Barack Hussein Obama is elected, you want to give this guy control over our troops?
Barack Obama suggested Wednesday that Hillary Rodham Clinton could not be trusted to end the Iraq war because she only started opposing it when she began her bid for president.
In a speech not far from North Carolina's Fort Bragg military base, the Democratic presidential hopeful told military families and local officials that the war has emboldened al-Qaida, the Taliban, Iran and North Korea.
Someone want to tell this guy that the war in Iraq is a going fabulously well?
"Ask yourself," Obama told the crowd, "Who do you trust to end a war: someone who opposed the war from the beginning, or someone who started opposing it when they started preparing a run for president?"
You wonder if the Giants used this strategy of "losing" to win the Super Bowl?
"What we need in our next commander in chief is not a stubborn refusal to acknowledge reality or empty rhetoric about 3 a.m. phone calls," he said. "What we need is a pragmatic strategy that focuses on fighting our real enemies, rebuilding alliances and renewing our engagement with the world's people."
You want to renew alliances and engage this enemy? Hang on to your ass, er head, because they will take it off of you.
