Any more reasons to dump the UN?

For any of you who think the UN is an objective world body to promote world peace, get a life. These people are a total joke.

U.N. expert says Guantanamo visit deepens concerns; Dec 12, 2007; Reuters
The fact of the matter is that 90% of the member nations are dictators and socialist thugs (Western Europe socialists not included).

A United Nations human rights investigator said his visit to the U.S. military facility in Guantanamo Bay last week left him wondering whether it would be possible for detainees' lawyers to mount an adequate defense.
Defense lawyers for terrorists? Yeah, right.

Martin Scheinin visited the naval base in Cuba from December 3-7 at the invitation of the U.S. government, while a tribunal in the case of Salid Ahmed Hamdan, an accused guard for al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden, was under way.

Scheinin did not address the details of that case in his remarks to the 47-state U.N. Human Rights Council on Wednesday. But he said: "The hearings provided graphic illustrations of the practical difficulties in providing fair trials at a distant military base."
Of course his remarks were not detailed, they'd expose the anti-American bias.

"I still hope that a further follow-up visit will be possible for the purpose of conducting unmonitored interviews with detainees at places of detention, including Guantanamo Bay, despite the government's current position that it objects to such a request," he told the Council.

The United States responded by saying it was "disappointed" Scheinin had declined an offer to view the base on the same terms offered to other international observers, but did not specify what those terms were.
Here again no details provided. (Pssst, could it be his argument is so weak he can't say.)

"We believe such a tour would have enabled him to provide the Council with a valuable perspective on the facility," Melanie Khanna, a U.S. legal adviser, told the Geneva session.
What is wrong with this picture? Anyone care to postulate a guess?

It is quite simple. This simpleton from the UN wants to tour the entire facitily. This simpleton wants to give access to a jury trial for these terrorists. Perhaps an OJ jury would be objective here.

So what is the problem, Eye? Don't you think we need to be fair and that the UN only is trying to be a totally fair arbitrator?

I only have one question. Does this simpleton visit al Qaeda prisons and request to talk to prisioners? Huh? Well maybe, but he should request to speak to them BEFORE they are beheaded. It might make more of an impact that way.

As I said in my last commentary..."A Religion of Love"

If you go back to my last commentary, you will notice a story about the British schoolteacher arrested for naming a teddy bear Muhammed.

Father killed daughter for not wearing hijab, her friends say; Dec 11,2007; AFP/Breitbart.com
To save you a bit of reading, the teacher's students voted on and picked the little bear's name.

Friends and classmates of a 16-year -old girl who police say was murdered by her devout Muslim father in a Toronto suburb told local media Tuesday she was killed for not wearing a hijab.
Here we have a father who holds to the strictest practices of the muslim faith. So what's wrong with that Eye? He is disciplining his child.

Her father, Muhammad Parvez, 57, was arrested at the scene and will be formally charged with murder when he appears in court Wednesday, said police.
Discipline is discipline, but I sort of wonder if not wearing the female garb of a hijab deserves death. I might call that a bit extreme.

The girl's friends, meanwhile, told local media she was having trouble at home because she did not conform to the family's religious beliefs and refused to wear a traditional Islamic head scarf, or hijab.

"She wanted to go different ways than her family wanted to go, and she wanted to make her own path, but he (her father) wouldn't let her," one of her classmates told public broadcaster CBC.
Evidently, tolerance is not one of the muslim tenants.
Her father, Muhammad Parvez, 57, was arrested at the scene and will be formally charged with murder when he appears in court Wednesday, said police.
You sort of wonder if Muhammed the Bear influenced Mr. Parvez. As I said in my last commentary, Muhammad is a sacred name and all those bearing that moniker epitomize and bring honor to the name. So does the name "Whacko".

Let's play one-liner
