Grant's Blog

I guess I have been slacking. Haven't updated the blog in weeks, maybe months. Not that there hasn't been anything to write about, because there were tons of things. Guess it gets down to motivation. But, let's "get down" and do something. Let's be thankful for something. Perhaps even Hillary.

When the going gets tough... the er, ah, tough get going, maybe...

After taking all that Chicom money, look who's spouting off.

Hillary Attacks China; November 23, 2007;Newsmax.com
Think it's time to quote a conservative news source for a change. Afer all, it's for the little chirren.

Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton Friday slammed China for calling her criticism of made-in-China toys "slander," and urged Washington to take "immediate, decisive steps" to protect US children.
Make no mistake about it. Broom Hillary knows how to milk a cow. She's best when she's a victim and likewise when she stands up for all the little chirren of the world.

Clinton's statement came a day after China railed against her warning Tuesday of a dangerous tide of Chinese-made gifts, saying that "any slander or exaggeration of facts is irresponsible."
Think the broom rider will have to watch out or she will fall behind in her campaign receipts.

This is the same government that just this month revoked the licenses of more than 750 of its toy companies because of quality control problems and ordered another 690 to renovate or improve their facilities, even as it asserted that 99 percent of toy exports met quality standards," Clinton said in her statement.
Does she have a pair or what? (I ain't talking above the belt pair here.)

"And the Chinese government's watchdog agency reported earlier this year that 20 percent of the toys made and sold in China pose safety risks. That is unacceptable."
Look at that size of those _ _ _ _s, she is one to reckon with. Much worse than a mother bear protecting her cubs. Now aren't you glad she is a frontrunner candidate, sticking up for those little nosepickers out there.

But let's see what she says about another Chicom issue...
China Denies US Aircraft Carrier Access To Hong Kong; November 21, 2007; The Huffington Post
So far, not a damn thing. They only denied 8000 sailors a Thanksgiving port call with their families who flew in for the ocassion. What do you expect from her, after all, it's not the chirren.

Someone want to clue this loser in on reality?

To tell you the truth, I could go years without updating the blog and this idiot would still be crying in his beer, or milk, or whatever he injests.

Al Gore Wrong Again; Telegraph.UK.com
I find it very ironic that a liberal publication like the Telegraph would draw such an opinion, even moreso that they would publish this.

On October 14, 1997, Vice President Al Gore said, "For those who argue that global warming is already changing the world's climate, this years El Nino weather front is more than enough evidence", the audience was told by Gore. In the next day, a report by the San Francisco Chronicle said: "Gore links El Nino to Global Warming". The Vice President stated at the summit that growing frequency of El Nino episodes could be connected to the gradual heating of the atmosphere caused by emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.
Serious stuff, iff (for all you liberals if with 2 f's is a math term meaning "if and only if") it were true. Like I said if it were true.

Ten years later residents in Argentina and Brazil are wondering if this winter will ever end. Buenos Aires recorded this Thursday (November 15th) the lowest November temperature in 90 years. Temperature in the Downtown weather station reached 2.5C. Since records began more than a century ago, only two days had colder lows in November. It was in 1914 (1.6) and 1917 (2.4). And ninety years ago the urban heat island effect was much less pronounced than nowadays. In Brazil's southernmost province Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil temperatures fell to 2.3C. In Sao Joaquim Monday's (Nov., 12) the temperature was -1.2 C with frost.
So what else is new? He's been crying about global warming since 1990 and the reality is, the 90s has been cooler than the previous 40 years.

NASA has recently indicated that the circulation of the Arctic Ocean has changed from the counterclockwise circulation of the 1990's to the pre-1990 clockwise circulation which could result in a cooling trend in the Arctic.
Better back off those warming trends for awhile. At least until the Arctic straightens up and gets on board. Or maybe Algore can give his Nobel Prize back. Naaa, not a chance. It's too cold to fly back to Scandanvia.
