I guess I have to admit to a mistake. A partial one, but I will admit to it. What do I mean by a partial mistake? Well, take a look and you will find out.
Where Have all the Donors Gone Part II
In my last blog I referred to the lack of reporting and the lack of stories of the Broom Ladys campaign fund receipts. The story is still around and in some places there actually is some reporting. Herein lies the "partial" mistake reference -- in some
places.
However if you look at the list, you will note that www.cnn.com and www.abcnews.com have no coverage. Likewise yahoo.com doesn't have a related story on their home page headliner list. If you check out the NY Times they cover it as does Foxnews.com and the Washington Times.
This story has the potential to derail the Broom Lady's candidacy, but don't count on it. The Clinton spin machine is definitely on full alert. You can count on that. You can also count on me too. I will be looking for that spin. It's in my nature to do so.
Scooter Libby Pardon Part II
Since I am in to follow ups, let's look at another one.
Hillary Clinton's Brother Settles Lawsuit With Tennessee Carnival Operator; September 13, 2007; Foxnews.com/A.P.
Do you remember all the screams and crying about Bush commuting Libby's prison term which resulted from a memory lapse on a non-crime? Bush didn't pardon Libby, he only commuted his sentence so he doesn't have to spend time in the slammer awaiting the appeal. Here we have the brother of Broom Hillary still embroiled in one of Billie-bob's full pardons. Ahhh, the duplicity of the left, you gotta love it.
Tony Rodham was
accused of failing
to repay $107,000 plus interest to the
bankrupt estate of Edgar Allen Gregory Jr.
and his wife, Vonna Jo, both of whom
received a presidential pardon in
2000.
Stay with me on this, it gets better.
The Gregorys received pardons
for
a bank fraud conviction from President Clinton
about two years after Rodham became a
paid consultant to United Shows of America, a
carnival business the couple owned.
Pardons by Clintons were easy to come by. Grease their palms and you need not worry about anything. (Ask Marc Rich.)
Another brother, Hugh Rodham,
was
paid more than $400,000 for his successful
efforts to win pardons for a
businessman under investigation for money
laundering and a commutation for a
convicted drug trafficker. He eventually
returned the money at his sister's
request.
I told you it gets better. Not only do people frauding banks, drug traffickers, money launderers, and tax evaders get pardons from the Clintons, but terrorist bombers did as well. If you will remember, Clinton pardoned a Puerto Rican terrorist bomber gang to get the hispanic vote of Puerto Ricans in NYC for his wife's senate bid.
In the closing hours of his
presidency, Bill Clinton pardoned 140 people,
including billionaire financier Marc Rich, who
fled the United States in 1983 rather than
face charges of tax evasion, fraud and
making illegal oil deals with Iran.
I guess forgetting a name in a non-crime rises far above the little mis-steps involved in the Clinton pardons. Ask Broom Hillary about who Hsu is. She said she forgot. Oh, hehe, pardon me for asking.
