I softly cry
Tears roll gently down my cheeks
Slowly the tears seep from the corners of my eyes,
Holding all the pain and fear.
The tears carry away the pain and the fears,
Leaving me empty and sad.

I’m not afraid of you
I welcome you to me with open arms
I embrace you with gentleness and love
I fall limp in your arms, sad empty and sad,
worn and broken.
Hold me safely, never let me go.

I look at you with a tear twinkling in the corner of my eye
You are safe, so gentle, so warm
You know me like you have known me for thousands of years
Your touch brings me to you and then softly I cry in your arms.
