My Eagle-Angel in the Sky
Someone sketched this on a placemat in a restaurant of my Dad sitting at the counter drinking a cup of coffee. I believe he captured the essence of my Dad.

I always felt blessed that I was fortunate to have grown up having two loving parents in my life.
As a child I was always Daddy's "little girl" and when I reached adulthood I became Daddy's "Lil' Hellcat".
Daddy was an intelligent, proud, understanding and realistic, although somewhat cynical man. He worked hard for his family, stood up and fought for his beliefs and those of our country. His soft spots were children and animals. He was a great teacher of life for his two children, as well as for others that loved him. He taught us that no man was better than another and to always remember that one man's rights end where another man's rights begin. His greatest lesson he taught us after he learned he had lung cancer, it was a lesson he continued to teach us up to the moment he took his last breaths.
Daddy had the cowboy spirit flowing through his veins and lived his life by the cowboy code of ethics. To many he was a good ole' country boy.
He will always be my cowboy dad and eagle-angel in the sky.
       I love you Daddy!!!!
