PRESENTING:

JANE

Welcome to Jazzy Jane's page.  I would like to tell you about Jane.    She is a very unusual person.  Scroll down and find out for yourself.

When Jane was a child, she heard the expression, "plain jane ".    Being very impressionable, she thought the name had been coined just for her.   From that moment on, she was plain jane, inside, outside, and upside down.

Last summer, Jane had a name makeover.  While touring with a large group of people, Jane overheard someone describing her as "Jolly Jane".   Upon hearing this, Jane did some serious thinking about self image.   A name makeover was in order.  As a result,  Jazzy Jane was discovered.

Jane has two great kids, one great cat, and enjoys three lovely grandchildren that her sister lets her borrow now and then.

The Granny Gears are all long distance bikers, but Jane is the champion.  One summer she participated in a charity ride, that took her from Maine to Florida, 1600 miles in all.  This was accomplished in three weeks.  This was a "Pedal for Power " ride sponsored by the League of American Bikers and a charity of your choice.  Jane chose to raise money for Planned Parenthood.  She was very successful.  As a result, she won "The Most Powerful Pedaler Award" for raising the most money.

Last summer, Jane accompanied by Ellen, whom you will meet later,  traveled to Colorado to do some cycling.   They covered the bike trails around Denver, then headed for Breckenridge, where they enjoyed the challenge of biking in the mountains.

Jane is a dedicated member of the Sciota Valley Chorus, which is a Sweet Adelines group.  Along with performing and singing, she has served as Chairperson for the Public Relations Committee for two years.    To learn more about the  Sciota Valley Chorus,

Although Jane retired a few years ago, she works one day a week for a massage therapist, doing odd jobs.  She also attends Columbus State Community College on a regular basis, and pursues her hobby of quilting, time permitting.

Jane is another Michigander.  She grew up in Muskingum.  Her home was located three miles from Lake Michigan.  Jane has vivid memories of walking for miles on Lake Michigan's beautiful beaches.

Now it's your turn.  Jane wants to know all about YOU.
You can tell her via email:
