French Knot: With Tapestry needle, draw yarn up through work in desired place, wrap yarn around needle 3 times, then pull needle back through work in same place.. Note: This square will require blocking. Spider Shaping: Rnd 1: With black, ch 4, 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join with a sl st in top of beg. ch-4 (12 dc). Rnd 2: Working in front lps for this rnd only, ch 1, 2 sc in same st as joining and in each st around, join. (24 sc) Rnd 3 - Legs: Ch 1, sc in same st as joining, * ch 6,sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch (5 sc) , sc in next st on body rnd 2, ** rep from * to ** 3 times more; (4 legs made), sc in next 7 sc on body rnd 2, repeat from * to ** 4 times (4 legs made), sc in each remaining sc on body rnd 2 around to first leg made, join. Finish off black.
