| Designed by Melanie Stiles Copyright Feb. 1, 2002 Materials: Small amounts of worsted weight yarn in Color A (pink), color B (purple), and Color C (white), Size G crochet hook. Finished size - 7 inches Beg. TRC Cluster: Ch 3, (yo twice and draw up a loop, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice ) three times, yo and draw through all loops on hook. Cluster: Yo twice and insert hook into stitch indicated, (yo and draw up a loop, [yo and draw through 2 loops on hook] twice ) four times, yo and draw through all loops on hook. Beg Popcorn Stitch: ch 3, 4 dc in same sp, drop loop from hook, insert hook in top of beg. ch-3, pick up dropped look and draw through, pushing popcorn to right side. Popcorn Stitch (PC): Work 5 dc in space, drop loop from hook, insert hook in 1st dc of 5 dc group, pick up dropped loop and draw through, pushing PC to right side. Rnd 1: With Color A, Ch 4, work 11 dc in fourth ch from hook. Join in third ch of beg ch 4. - 12 dc. Rnd 2: Ch 4, * dc in next dc, ch 1; rep from * around. Join in third ch of beg ch 4. - 12 ch-1 sps. Rnd 3: Sl st into first ch-1 sp, work beg Popcorn in same sp, ch 2, * work pc in next sp, ch 2; rep from * around, join in top of beg popcorn st. Finish off Color A. Rnd 4: Join Color B with sl st in any ch-2 sp, work beg trc cluster in same sp work (ch 3, trc cluster); in next sp work (trc cluster, ch 3, trc cluster); rep from * around, join with sl st in top of beg trc cluster. Finish off Color B. Rnd 5: Join Color C with sl st in any ch-3 sp, ch 4, in same sp work (2 trc, ch 2, 3 trc), 5 dc in each of next 2 ch-3 sps, * in next ch-3 sp work (3 trc, ch 2, 3 trc), 5 dc in each of next 2 ch-3 sps; rep from * twice more, join with a sl st in top of beg ch-4. Rnd 6: Ch 3, work dc in each st across to next ch-2 corner sp, in sp work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc), * dc in each st across to next corner sp, * in corner sp work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) ; rep from * twice more, dc in each remaining dc. Join in top of beg ch-3. Rnd 7: Rep Rnd 6. At end of Rnd 7, finish off and weave in all ends. |
