| Designed by Melanie Stiles Copyright December 1999 Finished Size - 7 inches Materials: Small amounts of red, green, and white worsted weight yarn; size I crochet hook. Beg. Puff st: Ch 2. Working loosely, (yo, insert hook in sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop) 3 times, yo and pull through all 7 los on hook. Puff St. : Working loosely, (yo, insert hook in sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop) 4 times, yo and pull through all 9 los on hook. Rnd 1: With red, Ch 4 (Counts as first dc), 11 dc in 4th ch from hook. Join in top of beg. ch. (12 dc) Rnd 2: Ch 4 (Counts as 1st dc + ch 1) ; (dc, ch 1) in each dc around. Join in 3rd ch of beg ch 3. Finish off red. (12 dc + ch 1). Rnd 3: Join green with a sl st in any ch 1 sp. Work b(beg puff st, ch 1, puff st) in same sp. * ch 1, (puff st, ch 1, puff st) in next ch 1 sp. Repeat from * around. Join with sl st in top of beg. puff st. (24 puff st + ch 1) Rnd 4: Sl st into first ch 1 sp, work beg puff st in same sp, ch 1 * work puff st in next ch 1 sp, ch 1. Repeat from * around. Join in top of beg. puff st. Finish off green. (24 puff tss + ch 1) Rnd 5: Join white with a sl st in any ch 1 sp. Ch 4 (Counts as first trc) (trc, ch 2, 2 trc in same sp) *2 dc in next ch 1 sp, 2 hdc in next ch 1 sp, 2 sc in next ch 1 sp, 2 hdc in next ch 1 sp, 2 dc in next ch 1 sp, in next sp work (2 trc, ch 2, 2 trc). Repeat from * around, except omitting last (2 trc, ch 2, 2 trc) of last rep. Join in top of beg ch. 4. Rnd 6: Sl st into 1st ch 2 sp, Ch 3. In same sp work (2 dc, ch 3, 3 dc) * Dc in each st across to next ch 2 sp, work (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) in sp. Repeat from * around, except omitting last (3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc) or last rep. Join in top of beg ch 3. Rnd 7: Repeat Rnd 6. Finish off white and weave in all ends. Bow: Tie a doubled over length of red yarn around any puff st of Rnd 3. Tie securely into a bow and trim ends. |
