On the 24th of March 1970 we had twin daughters Rebekah Anne and Gabrielle Mary. They were born at 5.20 and 5.22 am. They weighted 6lb and 51/2 lb Naturally we thought them the most beautiful children ever born.
This page is a celebration of them as "The Twins".They were never treated as twins and were always known as "the girls", they  still are!
Here they are only one day old, according to their bracelets Rebekah is the one on the right, I can not tell!
When the girls were 5 months old, their Chinese grand parents decided they wanted to meet them, so we were shipped off to HongKong by slow boat. It took one month and one day to get there. What an experience that boat trip was, Bosco stayed back in Melbourne, and I travelled alone. This is our passport photo, don't they look like little angels! I must admit when we caught the tail end of a tidal wave and they were tipped out of their cot they did not even wake up., but I certainly did!!
Here they are at 9 months,, its easy to tell the difference now, Rebekah is on the left. She is the one with the fly away hair. Uncle Yoto took this photo,he was going through his "mad photographer" stage and we have many pictures at this age. They really were very sweet.
First Birthday, Mama is holding Gabrielle and I have Rebekah. It is the custom in Hong Kong to give birthday cakes with birthday presents, so you can not immagine how many cakes we had. It was a wonderful day, but a little sad for me because Bosco and my parents were not there to share it with us. The thing I remember most about the day was that both girls came down with chicken pox!!
Two"terrible toddlers" coming home on the boat, look at their mischevious faces they were such a handfull, and to make matters worse when we did eventually arrive home, they screamed every time they saw their father or grandparents or any one spoke to them in English, Fortunately it did not take too long to get used to everything.
The first "formal" photo taken of the girls after they came home. I took ages to get them to sit together, as they thought it was all a wonderful game. Gabrielle is on the left.
This is the last photo, and definately my favourite, it shows clearly the relationship between the two girls. Even today, they are so close, that when they first meet , they are oblivious to every one around.
I love my eldest daughters very much, and am very proud of everything they have achieved.
