Winter of desire

The days grew short and the nights were cold,
Yet always by my side were you there to hold.
Winter is often the time for sorrow and pain,
When snowed in with you thou there is only gain.

Air crisp and biting your voice on my mind,
There could be no other person with who I'd pass the time.
No matter the weather or season we are in,
It is within you arms where all my time I will spend.

May the sun rise so slowly and us gently do awake,
For not a moment with you shall I pass or refuse to take.
The future is upon us both with each rising day,
But always with you shall my heart happily stay.

The snow so new, pure, and pearly white,
Seems to melt in envy when basking in your light.
The suns great and raging fires from the highs.
Seems dim and insignificant to the look in your eyes.

So for the winter snow I thank you for each gentle flake,
For my Angel did you keep with me, and not a moment take.
The days with her are a memory a dream of things in the past,
Yet forever will she hold my love for it shall always last.
