OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PICNIC EACH JUNE
The Association sponsors a neighborhood picnic on Manhattan Day each June. Picnics celebrated throughout Mnahattan on this day honor the founding of Manhattan in 1855.

A traditional "pot-luck", this picnic gives our local community a chance to sample the home cooking of our neighbors and to share updates, get re-acquainted. It is also an opportunity to have a short business meeting so that all neighbors get an update on the work of the Association  and any important issues that may have arisen since the annual meeting in January.

Announcements about the picnic details and food responsibilites are sent around by the Block Captains at least one month before the picnic so there is plenty of time to prepare for the fun!

The 2009 picnic
will be held on
Saturday, June 6th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Girl Scout House, located near the corner of Grandview Drive and Sunset Avenue. Issues to be discussed at the business  meeting at the picnic include tales from the 2008 tornado and single family homes for sale/rent in our area.
