Below are some of the rumours that I have found for more Other Rumours. If you have got any others, email me and I will put them up.If you manage to prove any of them, tell me and I will give you the credit you deserve....

Young Cloud
I don't know the method of getting Young Cloud, but it's been suggested a number of times he can join your party. I admit you can play Young Cloud during Cloud's flashback of Nibelheim. As for anywhere else, who knows.
Result : Unknown

Joe
Defeat the rider of the black chocobo at the Gold Saucer too many times, and Joe will join your party. You'll also gain his black chocobo, Teioh, which is virtually unbeatable in the chocobo races. The actual number of races needed to be won is unknown.
Result : FALSE

Another way:
Another way to get him is: you must have six chocobos at class S. Go to the Gold Saucer and find Dio in one of the game arenas. He'll start to brag about his champion Chocobo racer Teiho. Go and sign up for a chocobo race and choose the fourth chocobo on your list. You'll race one-on-one with Joe, and, if you beat him, he'll join you.
Result : Unproven

Dio
To obtain Dio, win one hundred Special Battles at the Gold Saucer during disk 3. Once achieving this, Dio will appear impressed by your fighting abilities. He will then personally challenge you. Win this fight, and Dio will consider himself in debt with you. He will then become available as a playable character.
Result : unproven

Chocobo
Supposedy you can get one of those cute, fluffy chocobos to join your party. There is a secret 'class' of chocobos that only rarely appears when you're out Chocobo hunting. When captured, you know you have such a secret chocobo when it appears to be speaking with its beak. Send it to the Chocobo Farm when captured, and retrieve it. The Chocobo will then be playable.
Result : Unproven

Super Sweeper
You can get a Super Sweeper (a Shinra robot) as a party member. Win one at the Gold Saucer, head for Rocket Town and Shera will take a look at it. She will then realise she can fix it... and presto. The Super Sweeper can be used as a character. This rather sounds dubious, but there's no known other use for the Super Sweeper.
Result : FALSE

Get the super sweeper and throw it at a custom sweeper and it will join your team.
Result : FALSE

Bugenhagen
It's been suggested Cosmo Canyon elder Bugenhagen is playable. Aeris must first be resurrected. After she's returned to life, visit Bugenhagen and he will be overjoyed to see Aeris again. The elder will then indicate he's tired of overseeing Cosmo Canyon and will elect joining your party.
Result : FALSE

Holy
This rumour is pretty interesting. On disk 3, explore the underground area of the Ancient City (which is usually blocked by Mr. Fish), and you will find a secret set of steps leading down. Equipped with the Underwater materia, go down to retrieve the Holy materia. Cast it to revive Aeris. (Wish it was as easy as that...)
Result : FALSE

Black Materia
Why would you want to use the Black Materia and cast Meteor again? Anyway, it's been alleged you can use the Black Materia and slot it in a weapon. It'll boost all your stats to maximum, except Luck (which will plummet to 0). While in combat, you can cast the Meteor spell, which is said to be much stronger than Knights of the Round.
Result : Unproven

Vincent's Ghost
This monster supposedly resides in the basement of the Shinra Mansion, Nibelheim. Have Vincent in your party, revisit the basement and there will be a small chance you will fight Vincent's Ghost.
Result : Unproven

Rune
Rune is a demi-god who hides in the background when you fight Safer Sephiroth. If you defeat Sephiroth too easily and quickly, Rune will appear to provide a greater challenge.
Result : FALSE

Jenova*REBIRTH
A nice rumour, this one. If you manage to resurrect Aeris, Jenova will send one last monster to destroy you - Jenova*REBIRTH. This is the hardest of the Jenova monsters. But only if you resurrect Aeris...
Result : FALSE

Ticondo
A mysterious monster named Ticondo exists. To fight Ticondo, you must have 99 tissues in your inventory. Fight at the Battle Square in Gold Saucer, and the counter lady will direct you to fight Ticondo. If you win, you will receive a secret materia called 'Gigo'. But be warned, this monster has 5 million HP.
Result : FALSE

Bugenhagen
Bugenhagen too can be fought. To confront Bugenhagen, go to Cosmo Canyon and visit the observatory. On your first visit in disk 1, touch the switch leading to the area holding the Huge Materia, and Bugenhagen will say 'Only I can use it'. Continue to use it, and after 20 minutes he will grow angry and fight you.
Result : Unproven

It's been suggested Cosmo Canyon elder Bugenhagen is playable. Someone says Aeris must first be resurrected(visit the Aeris's rumors page here). After she's returned to life, visit Bugenhagen and he will be overjoyed to see Aeris again. The elder will then indicate he's tired of overseeing Cosmo Canyon and will elect joining your party.
Result : FALSE

Cloud's Level 5 Limit
There might be a way of using Cloud's fifth level limit break.Everyone must be at level 99. Ensure Cloud has all master summon in his Ultimate Weapon and all master masic in his equipped Wizard Bracelet. Cloud must have his Level 4 Limit equipped, and have killed 129 monsters with Omnislash. By doing the above, when you fight Sephiroth, instead of using Omnislash, Cloud will use the Level 5 limit called Hyper Cut.
Result : Unproven

Space travel
It's been rumoured you can fly in space (besides when retrieving the Huge Materia from the Shinra rocket). Go to Midgar on disk 3, infiltrate the Shinra HQ again, and you'll find a new level in the elevator. This elevator will take you to a secret location where a test Shinra rocket is located. Board it, and fly in space. This sounds dubious as there's no known way of re-entering the Shinra HQ on disk 3.
Result : FALSE

It's also been suggested when Red XIII reaches Level 99, his tail will catch alight.
Result : Unproven

Watching the 'Loveless' Play
Yes, there is a rumour that says you can watch the 'Loveless' play. Remember the empty chest in the Corel Prison? Apparently there should be a Ticket inside there. Find it, return to the Gold Saucer and visit the theatre. With the ticket, you can then watch the 'Loveless' play.
Result : FALSE

1/35 Soldier Ornaments
It is alleged if you collect twelve 1/35 soldiers and buy the house at Costa Del Sol, you can display these soldiers on a window sill as house ornaments.
Result : FALSE

1/35 Soldier Bonus
If you obtain twelve 1/35 soldiers and play the strategy game at Fort Condor, you will receive an extra soldier unit to use.
Result : FALSE

Super Sweeper
Adverb suggests the Super Sweeper can be used to repair the Tiny Bronco. Enter Junon with Cid in your party, and talk to the inhabitants three times. Speak to the old man adjacent the beach a few times, and Cid will realise he can use the Super Sweeper to fix the Tiny Bronco. Revisit Rocket Town and Cid will repair the vehicle.
Result : Unproven

Hentai Ending
Even though a hentai ending sounds far-fetched. Beat Sephiroth fifteen times in different files, and you can watch a hentai sequence between Cloud and Tifa after the credits. Considering the damage Squaresoft will receive over such an ending, I must seriously doubt this rumour.
Result : FALSE

Seaplane
It's been rumoured a seaplane is available as a vehicle. On a rare occassion, when you're in lower Junon and talking to the elevator guard, he'll ask for your reasons for entering Junon. After the conversation, a battle will shortly ensue and you'll win a key. Proceed to Upper Junon and the underwater reactor. The key will open the reactor's door, allowing you access. Enter the submarine dock, and there will be a door previously non-existant. Inside will be an unnamed item. Retrieve it, and travel to Costa del Sol. Converse with the seaplane owner inside the resort town, and he'll trade his plane for the item. The seaplane can land on any depth of water, and fly like the Highwind. Very interesting...
Result : FALSE

Highwind / Tiny Bronco
The Tiny Bronco can be retrieved in exchange for the Highwind. Have twelve 1/35 Soldiers and a Super Sweeper in Fort Condor's final battle, and talk to the old man within the fort. He will take the items and Highwind for the Tiny Bronco. And yes, the Tiny Bronco will indeed fly, so the rumour says.
Result : FALSE

Killing Priscilla
It is suggested Priscilla, the little girl in Junon, can be killed in the game. To kill Priscilla, you must not save her after killing the flying boss. When resuscitating Priscilla, breathe as little as possible. As soon as you press square, release immediatelly so she will barely get air. After several resuscitation attempts, Priscilla will die.Apparently, this will alter the course of the game dramatically. As to what extent the alteration makes is unknown.
Result : FALSE

Dyne
Not very common this one. Apparantly, if you are nice to Marlene, Barrett and find a man hidden away on the Corel Traintrack, there is a small chance Dyne will join your team. There is also an Action Replay code to get him on your team, but I don't know what it is!
Result : Unproven

J. Juggler
Go to Gold Saucer Wonder Square and use the fortune machine. You need to get a card that says odd things in the future( 1/1000 chance). Leave Battle Square and you'll meet J. Juggler your new party member.
Result : Unproven

Karsten the Ninja
If you have Yuffie in your party go to the same forest that you aqquired her in. Here Yuffie and Karsten will fight to see who is the Ultimate Ninja. Karsten is susposed to have an attack that steals all your items( she likes items over materia).
Result : FALSE

Dolphin
There's been a rumor goin around lately that says you can get the Dolphin that helped you in Junon to join your party. You're suppose to take the submarine down as far as it can go in the crater and bump Emerald. After you defeat Emerald the dolphin pops up and if you give him 99 Elixers he'll join you.
Result : FALSE

Happy Hunting
If you want to find a cool gun for cloud then go to the chocobo tracks and do this. Change your party to cloud, cait sith, barret (in that order) and equip them with thir original weapons and walk around. Then you will fight this weird tree creature. Try to steal from it 3 times and maybe you will get the hunter gun. Then go to wutai and talk to everyone. go back to cosmo canyon and then come out again. Then do 7 fights and use the hunter gun in the last one. Something cool will happen. If you don't get the gun then goto the gold saucer and do battle arena and get 800,000 bp and then you can buy the gun.
Result : Unproven

Secret weapon for Vincent
It is said that you can get a secret weapon for vincent called a 'Masamune' I know its possable I have gotten it with game shark but I have no idea where to get it without Gameshark. If you have any information regarding this, E-mail me
.
Result : Unproven

Secret weapon for Cid
Okay, on the ride "Speed" at the Golden Saucer, you are supposed to supposedly get 6,000 points, which seems impossible to me, and then your prize will be a weapon that Cid can use. This weapon is by far the best in the game, much better than the Venus Gospel, or even the Ultima Weapon for Cloud. This is a weapon you will want to have.
Result : TRUE

Gold Murasame
Get every possible point combination from 3000 to 5000 in Speed Square and the item is yours. The weapon is said to be worth over 10,000,000 gil.
Result : Unproven

Gaia Armor
It is rumored that there is a very powerful armor, Gaia Armor. To get it, have nothing but a wizard bracelet equipped on everyone when you fight the last jenova. After you win, you will go up instead of down, and fight another similar monster who has 1 million HP. Win, and you will get this armor.
Result : Unproven

Get Out Of North Cave
In the third disc when you have to fight Sepherioth, I know how to get out! It is very simple, go to where you started at, then go out the door you came from, then climb up the ridge by pressing O, (if you press select it won't have the green arrow)all you have to do is climb up the ridge by pressing O, then you can go back on the Highwind and leave.
Result : TRUE
