The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. James Bertrand Wood are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial of the former in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Monday morning, June 9, 2003 at ten o clock. The Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will be held at Plantation Memorial Gardens with military honors. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC. Mr. Wood was born December 12, 1935 in Sioux City, Iowa a son of Harley and Anna McElin Wood. Mr. Wood was a retired Master Chief in the United States Navy having served his country for over 24 years and had also worked in shop #38 at the former Charleston Naval Shipyard. Mr. Wood was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the Summerville Council of the Knights of Columbus. Surviving in addition to his wife of Goose Creek, S.C. are three sons: James B. (Maryann) Wood, Jr. of Southington, Ct., Paul (Denise) Wood of Orlando, Fl., Donald (Wanda) Wood of Ladson, S.C., three daughters: Anne W. (Rolf) Frankenstein of Goose Creek, S.C., Jean Michelle (Cyprian) Byron of Goose Creek, S.C., Colleen W. (Eric) Hufford of Goose Creek, S.C., three brothers: Harley Wood of Ca., Mike Wood of Lancaster, Oh., Patrick Wood of Omaha, NE., a sister: Anne W. Gilmore of Pueblo, CO. sixteen grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
