Puggins (02/11/1986)
Puggins dear, I’m thinking of
How fast the time has flown
Since you were a little boy
When you kids were all at home.
Your hair was white as cotton then
Your eyes were big and blue
Your smile was full of chubby charm
With mischief shining through.
You really minded us quite well
(For Dad carried a stick)
And with a daddy such as he
Things just seemed to clique.
You kept me busy all those years
But you never hurt my heart
You grew into a handsome man
And one, really rather smart.
My heart is full of thankfulness
Each time I think of you
I’m thankful for your faith in God
More than for the things you do.
