Our Little Vincy
So like a blossom on a cliff side
Playing with a friendly breeze
Or a sunbeam shining bravely
Through the friendly shade of trees
And like the gay song of a wild bird
As she coarols through the night
All the precious thoughts of living
On into the morning light.
Never letting go of memories
All too precious to let go
Collecting new ones for tomorrow
To keep the present all aglow
We see the sweet face of a baby
A toddler with an elfin face
Growing swiftly on through childhood
To a maidens sweetest grace.
All these memories and more, Dear,
Too precious, far to ever tell
Comes to mind our little Vincy
Our little girl we love so well
Dear God, the Father of all mortals
Hold and guide her with your arm
As a shield and an anchor
From sing and pain and worldly harm.,
How but by the hand of God
Do these glorious colors rise.
I see the glory of my God,
As I watch the eastern skys.
