Clouds need the sunshine

To make them to glow

The meadow needs showers

To make the grass grow.

The earth needs the sun

Birds need the trees

Bee’s need the flowers

And flowers need bees.

Everything needs something

Like fried eggs need ham

Biscuits need gravy

And butter needs jam.

A rose needs dew drops

To renew her life

A woman needs her man

And a man needs his wife.

Dora needs Jesse

And he needs her too

For sixty long years

The same has been true.

I am so thankful

That both of you know

That you need your sweet Jesus

Where ever you go.
