I See God

No man sees God with natural eyes

But it is plain to me

That He is here

Anytime we care

To look and try to see.

In smiles from friends and touch of hands

In a small child’s cry of glee

In natures change

From winter to spring

He is here for us all to see.

If we are not blinded by worldly pride

Or with lust of things of life

Our God we can see

On land or at sea

And He helps us through danger and strife.

I step outside, in the cool of dawn

The new day is dawning so fair;

For all to see

But most precious to me

I can feel my God everywhere.

I step inside, to a waking child,

O work with peace of mind.

I don’t hesitate

No task is too great

For I feel my God near all the time.
