GRAND FALLS-WINDSOR/GREEN BAY SOUTH

 

 

The District of Grand Falls-Windsor–Green Bay South shall consist of and include all that part of the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador bounded as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway and the Meridian of 56o45' West Longitude; Thence running south along the Meridian of 56o 45' West Longitude to its intersection with the northern boundary of the District of Grand  Falls-Windsor–Buchan's which said boundary line extends due east from Wetstone Point, located on the western shoreline of Grand Lake;

Thence running due east along the said boundary line to its intersection with the Meridian of 56oWest Longitude; Thence running south along the said Meridian of 56o West Longitude to its intersection with the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway; Thence running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of a transmission line, located between Cromer Avenue and Sheppard Street;

Thence running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of the transmission lineto its intersection with the centre line of Pinsent Drive; Thence running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of Pinsent Drive to its intersection with the centre line of Brown Avenue; Thence running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of Brown Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Knight Street; Thence running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of Knight Street to its intersection with the centre line of Crawley Avenue; Thence running in a general northerly direction along the centre line of Crawley Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Hardy Avenue; Thence running in a general easterly direction along the centre line of Hardy Avenue to its intersection with the centre line of Grenfell Heights Road; Thence running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of Grenfell Heights

Road to its intersection with the centre line of New Bay Road;  Thence running in a general southeasterly direction along the centre line of New Bay Road to its intersection with the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway;  Thence running in a general northeasterly direction along the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway to its intersection with the centre line of the Bishop’s Falls Access Road; Thence running due north to its intersection with the eastern shoreline of Seal Bay;  Thence running in general southerly and northwesterly directions along the sinuosities of the shoreline of Seal Bay, Badger Bay, Sunday Cove and Woodfords Arm to the point of land known as Shoal Arm Point;  Thence running in a general southwesterly direction along the shoreline of Hall’s Bay to its intersection with the centre line of Indian Brook, south of the community of Springdale;

Thence running in a general northerly direction along the centre line of Indian Brook to its  intersection with the Meridian of 56o 20' West Longitude; Thence running south along the said Meridian of 56o 20' West Longitude to its intersection with  a line extending due east from the point of intersection with the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway and the Meridian of 56o 30' West Longitude;  Thence running due west along the said line to the point of intersection with the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway and the Meridian of 56o 30' West Longitude; Thence running in a general southwesterly direction along the centre line of the Trans-Canada Highway to the point of beginning, together with Triton Island, Pelley’s Island, Long Island, Sunday Cove Island and all other islands adjacent there to. All geographic coordinates being scaled and referenced to the Universal Transverse Mercator Map Projection and the North American Datum of 1983. Note: This District includes the communities of South Brook, Robert’s Arm, Miles Cove, Port Anson, Lushes Bight, Beaumont, Beaumont North, Pilley’s Island, Triton, Brighton, and part of the Town of Grand Falls-Windsor.
