Askar - A typical fighter or warrior as might be found in any town in Zakhara
Corsair - A sea warrior, think pirates and you wouldn't be far wrong
Desert Rider - Desert warriors, in tune with the wilderness (equivalent to a ranger)
Faris - Holy warrior in the service of an enlightened religion. These guys and gals are in the front line of the holy wars (equivalent to a paladin)
Mamluk - Slave Warriors. Mamluks are very lawful and organised. They are bought as slaves when very young and are raised and trained by a Mamluk society. They are owned by their society, but they also run these societies. Officially they are all slaves of the Grand Caliph and are the main arm of his power throughout Zakhara.
Mercenary Barbarian - Warriors from unenlightened tribes, paid to fight. They are very similar to the barbarian class in the Player's Handbook, but not quite so wild and not quite so thuggish.
