| Jets owner Jeremy Ducaine made a deal today which brings Keith Tkachuk back to Winnipeg. Tkachuk was originally drafted by Winnipeg 19th overall in the 1990 NHL entry draft. Tkachuk was the last team captain for the Jets before the franchise moved to Phoenix. Tkachuk tallied 50 goals and 34 assists for the Jets the last season before the team relocated. Tkachuk was traded to St. Louis in 2001. "I think Tkachuk is exactly what this team needs," says Ducaine. "Keith will contribute to the offensive punch that this team needs, as well as defensive prowess. Standing 6'2" tall and weighing 231 pounds, Tkachuk will bring a good two-sided game to this club" "I'm very excited to see Winnipeg represented in the NHL again," stated Tkachuk. "And I'm even more excited to be a part of it." |
