Evil Lives! "Humans......you're such inferior beings. Do you really think you can beat me? The great Raven, supreme being of all darkness," laughed Raven as he watched Ryudo and Brandan get into their fighting stances. "Heh....let's see how well you do against Shadow. He isn't as strong as I, but you wouldn't stand much of a chance against him. SHADOW........ATTACK!!!!!!!!!" Shadow lunged at them with his claws extended, ready to kill. Brandan jumped back just in time and fired his gun. To his surprise, the beam slanted and missed Shadow. Shadow turned to face him and just stood there waiting for Brandan's next move. Brandan took careful aim and tightened his grip on the gun. Brandan fired and smiled because he knew there was no no way he could miss. Unfortunately, the beam bounced off Shadow and hit Ryudo. "Ugh.....ow,hey! Brandan, what happened? I thought you aimed at him," asked Ryudo angrily and surprised. Brandan shrugged,"I don't know. I fired right on the dot. There was no w........Huh?" Brandan watched Shadow. Shadow swayed his tail back and forth. His tail was surrounded by an electical field. Brandan looked at Ryudo," I think it's his tail. It's covered by some strange force- field. I bet it can absorb a laser or electrical attack and ricochet it at someone else." Ryudo smirked,"Then, I guess we have to use pure strength." Brandan nodded,"My work outs are finally paying off." Brandan charged Shadow at full force. Brandan made an attempt to punch Shadow. The attack didn't faze Shadow too much. Ryudo sliced Shadow with his sword, but Shadow didn't even flinch. Shadow outstretched his arm and opened his hand. Ryudo and Brandan were hit with such a force of energy that they were sent flying. Brandan collided with Jim and both slammed into the wall and fell unconsious. Ryudo weakly got up from the floor and braced himself. Shadow lunged forward at Ryudo. Becky became so frightened that she collapsed and passed out. Elena just watched in horror as Shadow readied his claws. To everyone's surprise, a yellow blur collided into Shadow knocking him down. Shadow shook his head and got up. He looked to see what hit him. Shadow then came face to face with Flash who was very angry. Shadow stared cold daggeres at Flash and released his claws. Shadow ran at Flash. Flash charged as well but two yellow blades extended from his arms. Flash's blades and Shadow's claws clashed eachother as they pasted by one another. Flash turned and jumped into the air. Flash did a mid-air spin with his blade in an attempt to cut down Shadow. Shadow blocked the attack with his claws and sent Flash flying back towards the ground. Elena and Ryudo watched as both automatas kept there ground and continued to attack eachother. "Flash, be careful! He's just too strong," yelled Elena. Flash didn't pay much attention to her. Flash stared at Shadow and prepared to attack. Flash ran at Shadow with his blades extended. Shadow just stood and waited for the attack. Flash jumped into the air and aimed at Shadow. Shadow put his claws forward. Flash's attack was blocked and his blades shattered into pieces. Flash screamed in pain as he hit the ground and fell unconsious. Shadow then turned to Ryudo and charged him within seconds. Ryudo was caught off guard and wasn't fast enough to block Shadow's attack. Shadow swung his sharp claws at Ryudo. His claws ripped through Ryudo's clothes and tore into his flesh. Ryudo fell on his back and held his bleeding chest in pain. Ryudo's sword flew through the air and landed a few feet away from Ryudo. Shadow slowly walked over to the fallen Ryudo. Ryudo reached for his sword but was in too much pain and flinched. Shadow was getting closer and closer. Elena looked over at her fallen friends. She then looked at Ryudo who was about to get his stomach pierced by Shadow's claws. 'I have to do something,' Elena said mentally to herself. Shadow lifted his claws into the air. He smirked a bit as he watched Ryudo flinch again. Before Shadow could bring his claw down, Elena stood in front of Ryudo to block him from the attack. "Elena, NO! Go....Run Away," yelled Ryudo. Elena didn't move," I won't let you. I won't let you kill him." Shadow was a bit surprised. He jumped back and looked at her in cofusion. Raven was watching the fight and grew angry when Shadow stopped. "What's the matter, Shadow!? Finish them off! What are you waiting for?" Shadow just looked at his master. "ARGH, I'll do it myself," yelled Raven. "Why don't you pick on someone your size?" Raven looked around. "Who said that? Show yourself," yelled Raven. The owner of the voice appeared out of the shadows of the fissure. It was Elyssa, who stood facing Raven with her arms crossed. Raven looked at her in discussed. "I'd watch my tongue if I were you, girl." Raven powered up and fired a large ball of powerful energy at Elyssa. Elyssa just stood there as the attack hit, causing a huge explosion and smoke. "ELYSSA!!!! NNOOOOOO," yelled Elena. Raven smiled as he watched the smoke and fire rise into the sky. "GRANAS CLAW!!!!!" Elyssa jumped out of the smoke with large golden claws around her hands. Elyssa smashed her claws into Raven. Raven went flying into the ground. Elyssa made a graceful landing and her claws disappeared. Raven lifted himself up and looked at Elyssa. "You're stronger than the others. No matter. You'll meet your end soon enough." Raven powered up his attack again but stopped when the sun's rays shown on his face. Raven watched as the sun began to rise into the sky. "The sun is rising. Come, Shadow. We must leave." Shadow and Raven jumped into the sky."You may have won this round, but we'll be back." Raven then raised his hand. White dust fell from the sky. The dust hit Elena, Ryudo, and Elyssa. Elena and Ryudo fell into a deep sleep, but the spell had no effect on Elyssa. Elyssa looked at her fallen friends and performed a healing spell on them so all their wounds would disappear. Elyssa looked up to see Raven and Shadow fly away. "So, Raven. You've finally returned. I won't let you spread your evil like you did 10,000 years ago. I'm back to stop you once again," said Elyssa as Raven and Shadow disappeared into the horizon. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* One hour later.... Elena stirred and opened her eyes slowly. She sat up and looked around. She spotted Elyssa sitting on a large rock, rubbing her purple tail. Elyssa stopped what she was doing and looked at Elena."Are you alright, Elena? I got kinda worried when you faced Shadow like that." Elena blushed a bit."I'm fine. Thanks to you. I thought you were killed when that man attacked you." Elyssa looked up at the sky."No, his attacks aren't strong against me, besides you confused Shadow when you blocked Ryudo. I bet Ryudo means a lot to you if you risked your own life to save him." Elena looked at the sleeping Ryudo and smiled."Yes, He means the world to me. Will he and my other friends be alright?" Elyssa nodded,"They'll be fine. I used one of my recover spells on them so they'll be as good as new when they wake up." Elena siged in relief but then put on a worried face."Elyssa, who was that who attacked us? What does he want?" Elyssa looked down at the ground and sighed,"His name is Raven. He's part demon, part human even though he refuses to believe that. He was a normal human 10,000 years ago, before the Battle of Good and Evil. Until, one day Valmar confronted him and promised him great power if he would convince the people to join Valmar's armies. Raven's greed grew to great. Raven was given powers he never dreamed of possessing. He destroyed villages, wreaked havoc, and brought the people under Valmar's power. Raven also possessed an automata to help him called Shadow.This automata was the strongest ever created. No human could stand a chance against him. Scientists created four automatas to confront Shadow, but the scientists were killed before the automatas were awakened. Raven power grew day by day, death by death. His arrogance also grew. Raven thought he was as strong as Granas, so Raven challenged Granas's power. Raven was out of his league. Granas imprisoned Raven and exiled him to the far reaches of the universe, never to return. Shadow was to be confined like the other automatas. Raven wasn't heard for 10,000 years. He must have been freed when Valmar reawakened. He now wants to rule this world and my guess is that he might bring Valmar back and put him under his control." Elena stared at Elyssa in complete shock. "How do you know this, Elyssa?" "Well, because I'm Gra....GREAT AT HISTORY AND I HAVE GOOD SOURCES. HEHEHEH!" 'That was too close, I almost told her my secret. I'd be in big trouble in anyone found out. Besides, I think I said too much anyway,' Elyssa thought to herself."Elena, promise you won't tell anyone what I just told you, okay?" Elena nodded her head,"Of course. I have another question. Do you know what Flash is? I know he's an automata, but he's diffrent from any normal automata, if you can say they're normal." Elyssa looked over at the sleeping automata. She then looked back at Elena,"I'm not too sure, but I think he is one of the four. He does fit the description and he is very gifted. I think his code name is Hermes806923. He's supposed to have excellent eye sight and is able to achieve a speed greater than that of light. He is also known to have sharp, cutting blades that can slice through almost anything. But, that's just a rumor." Elena looked at her again with great surprise."You do know your history, don't you Elyssa." "You could say that," said Elyssa."I'm surprised Raven still believes Valmar will punish him if he's caught in the sunlight," said Elyssa as she stood up."I think I overstayed my welcome. I should leave now. Come to me, Zeke!" Zeke flew from out of no where and landed on Elyssa's shoulder. Elyssa turned and began to walk towards the enterance of Mirumu."Wait, Elyssa! Will I ever see you again?" Elyssa stopped and turned to face Elena. Elyssa gave her a kind smile."Don't worry. I exist in all life on this Earth. If ever you need me, just toss this bell in the air and I'll come to you," said Elyssa as she handed Elena a small golden bell. It was a beautiful bell with angel wings and diamonds on it. Elena took the bell and smiled as small tears formed in her eyes."Thank you for all you have done for me. You are a true friend, Elyssa. I only wish I could do the same for you." "Maybe you will in the future. For now, stay safe and watch out for trouble. Until we meet again.... FAREWELL!!!!!!" Elyssa then ran out of Mirumu and into the horizon. As soon Elyssa was out of sight, Ryudo, Jim, Becky, Brandan, and Flash began to slowly awaken. Flash jumped to his feet and looked at his blades which we in one piece again. He then ran to Brandan, Becky, and Jim and greeted them. Elena made her way to Ryudo and helped him lean up."Are you alright, Ryudo?" Ryudo smiled weakly at her,"Me? I'm just fine. Just a little headache." Elena threw herself at Ryudo and hugged him,"I'm so glad your alright," said Elena as a tear ran down her cheek. The other just watched them from a distance."Well, good to see they're okay. But, does anybody real know what happened," asked Brandan as he rubbed the back of his head. Jim shook his head,"Not really. All I remember was some guy attacking us and we fell unconsious." "Same here," said Becky."Wait, I do remember a black guy like Flash, but everything else is a blur," said Brandan. Flash just shrugged. Brandan, Flash, Becky, and Jim made their way to Ryudo and Elena who were getting up. "I don't know about you, but I think we should split and head to our next destination," suggested Brandan. Everyone nodded and headed into the van. When everything was ready, the van started up and headed out of Mirumu. Hours later, the sun began to set. Brandan looked at the clock on his dash-board. It read 10:00 P.M. and everyone was getting tired. Brandan stopped the van and looked at his map."Okay, good news people. We'll rest here for the night and we'll ride the Skyway tomorrow morning. So hit the sack everybody," said Brandan as he put his map away."The Skyway? I thought only people could ride it," said Elena after a yawn. Jim turned to her,"They built a new one that can carry cars and other large items. It's also faster, so it should only take two hours to ride." Ryudo yawned,"Wonderful, now can we please get some sleep," said Ryudo with a bit of sarcasam. Becky and Jim happily strolled into their room and shut the door. Brandan shuffled into his and Flash curled up in his chair and was asleep in seconds and as always, his foot did its twitch. Elena began to walk to her room, but Ryudo grabbed her arm."What? I don't get a good night kiss," asked Ryudo as he gave Elena a childish face. Elena smiled and sat next to Ryudo. Ryudo moved his head downward and slanted his face. Elena did the same. Both of their lips met and they held the kiss for a few seconds. Ryudo made and attempt to slide his hands on Elena's back but was interrupted."Hey guys. I have one more rule I forgot to mention. If you're going to make out, do it in someone's bed,not on my nice, clean couch," yelled Brandan from his closed room. Ryudo tipped over and slammed his face into the cusion of the couch and laughed. Elena put her face in her hands and shook her head and laughed."That Brandan! He is one corker," laughed a bit muffled through the cusion. Elena got up. Ryudo turned of his back to see Elena."Heheh, good night, Ryudo. See you in the morning." "Night!" Elena bent over kissed him on the forehead and walked to room. She crawled into her bed and fell asleep.
