The Raven Takes Flight

    The dark figure started out of the room, followed by his automata, 
Shadow. The two walked along and the 
figure stopped in front of the broken and aged Seal of Granas that once held 
the Eye of Valmar. The figure smirked.
"The seal.....it's broken. Are the parts joining or was it destroyed?" The 
figure stepped closer to the seal and peered
inside. "The Eye did break out, but it posessed a human to maintain a solid 
form? I thought the parts would be 
strong enough to keep their own form without a human body." The figure placed 
a hand on the seal and closed his
eyes. The parts of the broken seal flashed a dark red. Images began to appear 
in the figure's mind. They were the 
images of how the Eye posessed Aira, Selene and the Cathedral Kights, and 
Ryudo, Millenia, Roan, and Mareg 
battling with the Eye. The figure opened his eyes. "That can't be.......The 
Eye of Valmar was defeated by a group of
pitiful humans. The Eye was one of the most powerful parts. If these humans 
defeated the Eye, they might of 
destroyed the other parts as well. What do you think, Shadow?" Shadow looked 
at the seal and then the exit of the 
tunnel. He squinted his eyes a bit and growled. "Do you sense something, 
Shadow?" Shadow growled again.
"The humans who did this are in Mirumu? Why don't we have a little 
investigation? I want to see how powerful 
these humans are." The figure made his way to the outside world with Shadow 
close behind. The figure looked 
around. The sky was beginning to get lighter. "Hmm, the sun will be rising 
soon. We don't want anyone to see us do
we, Shadow?" Shadow growled. The figure looked to the sky. He then 
disappeared into the shadows with Shadow.
Unknown to them, someone had seen them and wasn't too happy about it. Elyssa 
was standing behind Sandra and
Aira's house with a frown on her face. She then turned and left in a flash.
    The sun began to rise in the sky. Rays of sunlight shown through the 
windows of the van parked by the 
inn. A ray of light shown through Brandan's window and hit his face. Brandan 
stirred a bit and opened his eyes. 
He stretched his arms out and got up. He dressed himself and left his room. 
He made his way to the door and walked
outside. Brandan looked around and took in a deep breath of the fresh morning 
air. Brandan wanted some fun and he
had a good idea on how to have some. Brandan put on a smirk and headed back 
into the van. Brandan wanted to 
make sure Elena saw his prank so he headed toward her room. Brandan opened 
her door and stepped in. Elena was
all curled up and had a scared and pained face on. "Hey, what's up with her? 
I bet she's having that nightmare again.
Guess I have to be her knight in shining armor ." Brandan tapped Elena so 
gently that she barely felt it. "Hmm, she
doesn't seem to be getting up this way. I guess I have to try something 
else." Brandan put on a sinister face. 
Brandan stepped over and stood right next to Elena. He put on a innocent face 
and put his arms behind his back.
Brandan lifted his leg and quickly knocked Elena off her bed and landed on 
the floor with a loud BANG. Elena was
up then. She stood up slowly and began to rub her back. "Ow, what's the big 
idea, Brandan?" Brandan put on his
innocent face again, "I just wanted to get you up. Besides, I want you to 
have some fun with me. Come on." 
Brandan left her room and went toward the fridge. Elena walked out of her and 
went next to Brandan. Brandan looked
around in the fridge until he found what he was looking for. Brandan turned 
to Elena and put on a large smile and
showed her what was in his hand. It was a large container of whip-cream. 
Brandan then went back into his room and
came back with a black bag. He opened the bag and took out his small video 
camera. Brandan handed it to Elena.
"Here, make sure you get everything." "Ok, I will. Ummm, what are you going 
to do, Brandan?" "You'll see." 
Elena turned on the camera and looked at Brandan. Brandan walked over to the 
couch where Ryudo was sleeping.
Ryudo was laying on his back and had his arm hanging off the couch. Brandan 
opened the whip-cream and squrted
some into Ryudo's hand. Brandan then scratched Ryudo's nose a bit. Ryudo 
rubbed his face and smeared whip-cream
all over his face. Brandan and Elena started to crack up. Brandan did it 
again. This time, Ryudo opened his eyes and 
came face to face with Brandan who was still laughing. Ryudo looked at Elena 
holding the camera and laughing. 
Ryudo looked at them confused and touched his face. He looked at his hand and 
saw whip-cream all over it. Ryudo's
face went from confused to pissed and he death glared Brandan. "I should have 
known. I can't even sleep in peace
when your around, Brandan. You are so dead." Ryudo jumped off the couch and 
lunged at Brandan. Brandan dodged
and ran outside with Ryudo in hot persuit. Elena went by the window and 
watched to two chase eachother around.
Becky and Jim strolled out of their room and went next to Elena."Morning. 
Hey, what's going on,"asked Jim while
yawning.Becky looked out the window,"Yeah, why is Ryudo chasing Brandan 
around?" Elena laughed a bit."Brandan shot
Ryudo with whip-cream and Ryudo got kinda mad." "I'll say,"said Jim watching 
Brandan shoot some more whip-cream at
Ryudo. Becky turned to Elena,"So....what's the plan for today?" Elena thought 
for a second,"I believe we have to 
perform today." "Oh, ok. Come Jim, we have to get the costumes." "Coming." 
Jim and Becky went to their room to find the
costumes. Elena turned her attention back to the window. Brandan and Ryudo 
were getting tired and decided to call it
a draw. Brandan found a nice spot in the shade and sat down to rest. Ryudo 
walked into the van to wash the whip-cream
off his face and cloths. As he passed Elena, she covered her mouth so Ryudo 
wouldn't see her laughing, but it was too
obvious. Ryudo stopped in front of her and wipped his face. He then smeared 
some whip-cream on her face and headed 
toward the bathroom. Elena just wipped the whip-cream off her face and 
laughed. Elena walked outside and went over to 
Brandan. Brandan had a his arms crossed and a serious look on his 
face."What's with the serious face, Brandan. You're 
not mad at Ryudo, are you?" "No, it's just, I got a bad feeling about that 
cave over there." Brandan pointed to the
enterance of the deep fissure."I heard this noise real late last night. I 
think it came from that cave, but I'm not too
sure." Elena put on a worried face.'No, it can't be. We destroyed the Eye of 
Valmar and all the parts over a year ago,'
Elena thought to herself. Brandan looked at her,"It's nothing. I always get 
weird feelings. I bet it was that food I 
ate last night." Elena then noticed something. She looked around."Brandan, 
did you see Flash? I don't see him. He's not
out here or in the van." Brandan shook his head."Haven't seen him all day. I 
thought he was in your room." "No, I 
haven't seen him since last night. Oh, no! FLASH! FLASH! WHERE ARE YOU? COME 
ON OUT!" Brandan looked around and began 
to yell. "FLASH! FLASH! COME ON, KID! THIS ISN'T FUNNY! GET OVER HERE" 
Brandan got a hunch where Flash was and headed
towards the fissure. Brandan stopped at the enterance and looked inside. Sure 
enough, Flash was standing inside.'I bet
it was him that made that noise last night,' thought Brandan. Brandan walked 
over to Flash."Hey, there you are. We were
getting worried about you. Come on, Elena's worried sick. Hey, come on, kid." 
The young automata didn't move. He had an 
angry face and he was growling and shaking with rage. Flash then noticed 
Brandan and stopped. He put on a smile and 
took Brandan's hand."Aw man, come on, this doesn't look right." Brandan 
sighed and walked Flash back to the van where 
Elena was waiting. Her face lit up once she saw him."Flash! Where were you? I 
was so worried." Flash ran up to her and
gave her a big hug. Flash looked back at the fissure and frowned. Brandan 
noticed this and looked at the fissure.'I 
wonder what's bothering him. It can't be good,' thought Brandan. Ryudo, Jim, 
and Becky walked out of the van."What's 
with all the yellng,"asked Ryudo. Elena looked at him,"We were looking for 
Flash. He got kinda lost." Brandan looked at
his watch."Whoa! Hey, guys, our show starts soon. We have to get ready. Let's 
hustle." Everyone, except Ryudo and Flash,
ran into the van. Ryudo turned to Flash."You got lost? Seems weird to me. 
Come on, let's go help with the show." Flash
nodded and followed Ryudo. 
    On the roof of the town hall, Elyssa was sitting with Zeke looking at a 
map."Hmmm....I know there was a part sealed
around here, somewhere. Think we should ask someone, Zeke?" Zeke shook his 
head."Guess not. I guess people might get a 
bit nervious is someone walks up to you and says,'Excuse me, can you tell me 
where the parts of Valmar are sealed,'."
Zeke roared a bit."Well, our main job is to make sure nothing awakens Gaia. 
If that happens, everything will
be obliterated." Zeke nodded and looked around. Something caught his 
sight."Agggggggrrr, AAAaaaagggggrrr" Elyssa looked 
at Zeke."What's the matter? What do you see?" Zeke took his small claw and 
pointed at the stage where Brandan, Jim, and 
Becky were getting ready."Oh, I get it. You want to say HI, don't you?" Zeke 
nodded amd jumped."Ok,Ok. Calm down! We'll 
go see what they're up to." Elyssa jumped off the roof and landed gracfully 
on her feet. Zeke spread his wings and jumped
off the roof and glided onto Elyssa's shoulder. Elyssa made her way to the 
stage. She walked pass Brandan, Becky, and Jim
and looked around. Elyssa spotted Elena by the rear of the van tring to get 
her costume to closed. Elyssa smiled and ran 
around the opposite side of the van and jumped on top of it. Elena was still 
tring desperately to close her costume."Ugh,
I really hate these stupid zippers. They're always in the back and really 
tuff to close." "Can I give you a hand?" Elena
jumped back a bit when she heard the voice."Who's there?" "Heheheh, you get 
scaried easily, don't you, Elena." Elena 
looked up and saw Elyssa sitting on the roof of the van."Hello, Elyssa. What 
are you doing here?" Elyssa jumped off and 
landed in front of Elena."You know, just hanging around. Plus, I hear you're 
going to sing. Wouldn't miss that." Zeke 
roared in agreement. Elena smiled at Zeke and rubbed his chin."Hello, Zeke. 
Elyssa, would you like to meet my friends?"
Before Elyssa could answer, Brandan interrupted,"Hey, Elena, hurry up! The 
show starts in 5 minutes. Get your rear in
gear." Elyssa smiled,"I'll meet them after the show, ok. Get going before you 
get in trouble. Good luck!" Elyssa
zipped up Elena's zipper. Elena smiled."Thanks. I'll see you after the show. 
Later," said Elena as she ran to her place. 
"Hey, Elena, who were you talking to,"asked Brandan."Oh, just a friend. I'll 
introduse you after the show." They all got 
ready and the show began. Everything went very well and the show ended 
quickly. After the audiance left and everything 
was packed up, Elena dragged Brandan, Becky, Jim, and Ryudo to meet Elyssa. 
When Elena got to the spot where Elyssa was
 before the show, Elyssa was gone. Elena looked all around for her."She was 
here before the show. Where could she have 
gone?" "Nobody's here. I guess your so called 'friend' ditched you," said 
Brandan."Elyssa wouldn't do that. She has to
 be around here, somewhere." "Looks like your friends aren't as faithful as 
you, Elena." Elena looked up and saw Elyssa 
and Zeke sitting on a branch of a tall tree. Elyssa jumped down and walked 
over to the group."See, this is Elyssa, 
everyone." Everyone just stared at Elyssa for a second. Brandan stepped 
forward first."Yo, I'm Brandan." "Hi, the name's
Jim." "I'm Becky, pleased to meet you." "I'm Ryudo." Elyssa smiled at 
them."Nice to meet all of you. Oh, I almost forgot.
This is Zeke," said Elyssa stretched out her arm with Zeke perched on it. B
randan came closer and moved his hand toward
Zeke."What is it? Some kind of midget lizard or something?" Zeke frowned and 
took a bite out of Brandan's finger.
"YYYYYYOOOOOOOWWWWWW, OWOWOWOWOWO!!! THAT THING BIT ME!!!!!" "Sorry about 
that. Zeke tends to bite when he's 
insulted. How about I buy you dinner to make up for that." "Now you're 
speaking my language. Let's Go!" "Wait, Brandan. 
Elyssa didn't meet evryone," said Elena."Who," asked Elyssa. "Flash, come 
here. There is someone who wants to meet you." 
Flash came running from behind the stage at an impressive speed and stopped 
right next to Elena. "Elyssa, this is Flash." 
Flash walked over to Elyssa and gave her a very big smile and did his 
squeak/roar. Elyssa smiled,"Nice to meet you, too, 
Flash. Come on, let's get some food, my treat."
    After everyone ate and Elyssa paid, they headed back to the van."I think 
I should get going. It's getting late," 
said Elyssa. Elena frowned,"You can spend the night with us. It's no 
trouble." Elyssa shook her head."No,it's ok. I have some
work to do so I should get going. I'll see you all tomorrow. Good Night!," 
said Elyssa as she walked away, waving. 
Everyone waved back to her and went in the van to get some sleep. 
    Hours passed, evryone was sleeping soundly in Mirumu. The full moon was 
shining brightly. The dark figure and Shadow
returned. They stood at the enterance to the fissure and looked over the 
town."Look how peaceful it is, Shadow. I think 
that should come to an end. What do you think?" Shadow smirked and gave a low 
growl......
    Flash opened his eyes and jumped off the chair he was sleeping in. He 
became very nervious and jittery. Flash ran 
over to Ryudo on the couch and began to shake him. Ryudo woke up and looked 
at the nervious Flash."Hey, what's with you?"
Flash then ran to Brandan's room and woke him up. Flash then went to Elena's 
room. Brandan and Elena walked out of their
rooms while Flash woke up Jim and Becky. When everyone was up, Flash pointed 
to the window. Brandan looked out,"There's 
nothing out there. You woke us up for nothing." Flash shook his head and ran 
outside. Everyone followed. Flash then led 
them to the fissure. Everyone looked at the figure. Flash growled and shook 
violently at the figure. The figure looked at
them and smirked."So...I finally get to meet the humans that destroyed the 
Eye of Valmar. I've been waiting for you." 
"Hey, just who are you and what are you doing here," yelled Brandan. Ryudo 
stepped forward and clenched his fists. "How 
do you know about the parts of Valmar?" The figure closed his eyes and 
smiled."Heh, I know much more than you think. I've
been waiting to finish what was started many years ago, and this was the 
first place on my journey. Do you have a problem
with me? Am I scaring you?" "I suggest you leave, if you now what's good for 
you," said Brandan as he took out his gun.
Elena and Becky hugged eachother in fear and stepped back. The figure laughed 
a little."You humans are really funny. I 
almost forgot. You haven't met my friend. Come out and greet our friends, 
SHADOW!!!!" Shadow walked out of the shadows of
the fissure with his eyes glowing a crimson red. Shadow stopped at the edge 
of fissure and swished his metal tail which 
was surrounded by electricity. The figure laughed again."Forgive my rudeness, 
my name is Raven. Now...TREMBLE WITH FEAR, 
YOU'RE IN FOR THE FIGHT OF YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!!" Shadow roared and both lunged 
at Ryudo, Brandan, Becky, Elena, and Jim.
