Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: Gathering supplies from the city the Warriors are prepared for the tasks ahead. In addition to new weapons and items to aid them they also received a new fellow Warrior, Fern, a young dryad-shapeshifter hybrid.
Vin_Da_DM: Escorting Fern to the ship, the Guardian introduced her to Alexei, who in turn introduced Ettik. After feeding Fern and learning of her like of candy, Alexei returned to the bridge.
Vin_Da_DM: Soon everyone slowly began to return to the ship with their supplies. We rejoin them several hours later as the Ettik is preparing to lift off�
Vin_Da_DM: The deep hum of Ettik�s engines echo throughout the ship as you slowly rise skyward.
Vin_Da_DM: $ Start
Fern cocks her head at the vibrations beneath her feet.
Fern: �Am I meant to be somewhere in particular?� mutters aloud.
Claron smiles contentedly, basking in her afterglow as she lays with her head on Tabris� shoulder, listening to him snore.
Vin_Da_DM: �You are where you are meant to be,� A voice sounds from behind Fern as Kuan, the humanoid panda, stands studying her.
Fern turns slowly to see who is talking, �I am? Well, that is good cause I don�t know where else to go.�
Tabris: While snoring Tabris mutters, �Yea...n� some red...big rock�� Rolling over he topples off the bed, then stares blinking at the ceiling for a moment.
Fern: �Can you hear that?� Tilting head to one side.
Clarice sits quietly in her and Tewyn�s room looking at the greenstones they got from the vendor, wondering how they work as she waits for Tewyn to return with some food for them.
Vin_Da_DM: �Hear what in particular?� Kuan blinks and looks at her.
Fern flickers into dryad form and back into human form twice before settling on dryad.
Claron laughs heartily as Tabris hits the floor.
Luna_Faline sits in the corner of my room wrapped in a new dark purple cloak my mistress gave me.
Vin_Da_DM: �Interesting ability...I am Kuan,� He looks at Fern in dryad form with a curious glance, �I did not catch your name?�
Fern: �Voices, I hear voices and they are strange yet familiar to me,� walks towards the ramp leading out, turns back to Kuan, �I am Fern.�
Clarissa sits in the galley nibbling on some strawberries and wondering why she doesn�t hear that voice in her mind anymore.
Vin_Da_DM: �The cloak looks good on you, it matches your eyes,� Eclipse lays on the ceiling looking �up� at Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: Kuan bows to Fern, �Then it is my pleasure, Fern.�
Fern shakes her head, looking around in puzzlement.
Fern: �Yes, mine too,� I say distractedly.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Knock, knock! Anybody home?~ Stryder plops down in the seat across from Clarissa, grabbing one of her strawberries and eating it.
Luna_Faline eyes focus on the ceiling, �Thank you,� I smile as I rub my cheek on the fur trim.
Fern focuses sharply on Kuan, �Who is here? Are there my kind here?�
Vin_Da_DM: �The new one...she is curious,� Eclipse crawls down the wall and sits next to Luna, �I sense something that I have before...yet it is different in her.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Your kind? No, I do not believe so,� Kuan raises a brow at her question.
Clarissa looks up and smiles at Stryder as he snatches one of her strawberries, her eyes telling him that she has been doing some serious thinking.
Tabris gets up, rubbing the back of his head, �Man...either this bed is too small, or I�m too good at falling off it.�
Fern: �Yet, I can hear them calling and only one of my kind would know to call me,� looks at Kuan with curiosity in her eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: �Oh, that �deep thinker� look. Don�t overdo it...I�d hate for your head to explode, messy�messy,� Stryder grins as he rubs half a strawberry on her nose, getting it sticky.
Luna_Faline watches Eclipse settle next to me. �Can you explain what you sensed before?�
Claron: �Maybe its a bit of both, or maybe I thought it was time for you to wake up,� enjoying the sight of Tabris� nakedness.
Vin_Da_DM: �Then perhaps you should answer that call,� Kuan watches her then turns, �Do not let me keep you.� He wanders off toward one of the cargo bays.
Fern watches Kuan disappear.
Vin_Da_DM: �It was the odd feeling I get from changlings, shapeshifters if you will,� Eclipse glances to the ceiling, thinking, �But it is not as strong in her.�
Clarissa: ~Would you rather I not and continue to wreck havoc? I could just as easily continue down that course, you know!~
Tabris: �Ha ha, a wise-girl, eh?� Tabris grabs a pillow and tosses it at Claron as he dives for his pants.
Fern sits down in the middle of the corridor and closing her eyes, sends out her essence.
Luna_Faline: �Maybe because she is a halfling also?� questions softly.
Clarissa wrinkles her nose, then wipes the stickiness off with a napkin.
Vin_Da_DM: ~You could, yes. But that would lead to a fight between us and if doubt either of us wants that.~ Stryder looks at Clarissa with a semi-stern look.
Clarissa: ~Always playing the big brother even though you are only minutes older than me.~
Fern sits quietly hardly breathing as her essence wanders along corridors and dips into rooms, searching for those that are calling her.
Vin_Da_DM: In the bridge, the Guardian watches as Alexei opens a hyperspace window. Ettik slides into it quickly then out into star-filled space in a matter of seconds.
Tewyn balances the plates heading back to the room, �Damn, she must of been hungry.�
^Shinta heads inside the galley giving a glance over to the twins.
Vin_Da_DM: Fern begins to sense something at the side of the ship, almost pulling her in that direction.
Claron dodges the pillow while she concentrates on Tabris� pants and has them move further away from him.
Tabris: �Oh, why you little!� Tabris rolls across the floor and grabs his pants triumphantly, �Gotcha!�
Clarissa breaks her gaze away from Stryder and watches ^Shinta closely.
Fern slows her journey and cautiously flows in the direction of the pulling sensation.
Tewyn walks in, �Is there anything you didn�t order?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Oh, hey there, Shinta right?� Stryder looks at Shinta.
^Shinta gives a small nod to Clarissa, �Yes, that would be me...and your Stryder?�
Claron chuckles as she watches Tabris slip on his pants, �Such a pity, I was rather enjoying the view.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Perhaps...the other part of her is something I do not recognize,� Eclipse chuckles as bit as he says that, �All these years and I don�t know.�
Tabris: �I�m sure, mine isn�t that bad either,� Tabris looks Claron up and down with a wide grin.
Clarice looks over the plates that Tewyn brought in. �Nope, looks like you got it all.� Reaches out and takes one of the plates.
Tewyn: �Well, better safe than sorry.�
Vin_Da_DM: Fern�s journey dead-ends her in front of a regular door, looking like all the others on the ship, but with the feeling echoing loudly in her head.
Luna_Faline: �I haven�t seen her yet, but I know that much,� looking out the window wishing I was still in the temple.
Fern eyes snapping open and leaping to her feet, she races down the corridor at breakneck speed.
Vin_Da_DM: �Or so they tell me,� Stryder chuckles and looks at Clarissa, then back to Shinta.
^Shinta laughs, �Well, at least you know who you will be when you wake up every morning...try living with these three,� pointing behind him.
Clarice smiles, �Don�t suppose you know how to use these greenstones?� nods her head towards them on the bed beside her.
Tewyn: �Hmmmm�they are summoner blocker, right?�
Vin_Da_DM: As Fern peels down the hallways the door she is after opens automatically in front of her and she trips over a crab-like creature just inside the door, landing against a semi-dirt ridden floor.
Clarissa looks back to where ^Shinta is pointing, �I suppose you hear voices a lot?�
Clarice nods her head affirmatively..
Fern leaps up on to her feet, spitting dirt from her mouth and looking wildly around.
^Shinta: �Unfortunately I hear them all the time�These three bicker a lot...then I can hear those trying to reach out from the other side.�
Luna_Faline slowly stands and stretches my body in many directions. Yawning I look around for my boots.
Vin_Da_DM: The room Fern is in is a room adapted into a small garden. Several flowering plants and small trees are dispersed in planters with a path in between. The crab at the door looks at Fern with clicking noises.
Clarissa: �Do they say evil things to you?�
Luna_Faline spies the boots under the bed and moves around Eclipse to retrieve them. I sit on the bed and pull them on slowly.
Vin_Da_DM: �Going for a walk?� Eclipse gets to his feet and watches Luna with her boots.
Fern gasps in surprise and pleasure, �Oh, my goddess, it is beautiful!� Looks at the crablike creature she tripped over.
^Shinta: �Sometimes yes�There are many evil spirits out there�One must be careful which spirits you listen to.�
Luna_Faline laughs lightly, �I never know anymore. Getting caught undressed once is enough for me, unless it�s my idea.� I slowly turn and grin at him.
Tewyn checks the stones, �They could be vicinity stones?�
Vin_Da_DM: The creature is a mix between a crab and metallic parts, it chitters at Fern then returns to watering the planters with a sprayer on his arm.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse smirks then walks over to the door, �Mind if I join you then?�
Claron smiles, rises from the bed then parades herself around the bed picking up her clothes and slipping into them.
Tabris: �Aww�� Tabris grabs the rest of his clothing and puts it on as well, �Well, there. Now we�ve spoiled each other�s view.�
Fern ignores the crab and walks up to the trees. Spying one tree in particular she goes up to it and places herself against it�s trunk, gently merging with it. The feelings this inspire are so powerful she releases a strong uncontrolled psychic shudder.
Clarissa ponders this for a second, �How do you know if they are evil or not?�
Vin_Da_DM: The crab glances toward Fern and chitters again.
Luna_Faline: �If you wish, I never mind your company,� quickly opens a small chest and removes the new dagger my mistress gave me. Slipping it into the top of a boot, I then retrieve my Alexandrite Amulet from the chest. �Can you help me put this on?� Holding the silver chain out to Eclipse.
^Shinta: �I am lucky, I can go see them on the other side�and see them for what they are...but pure souls won�t ask anything of you except maybe to listen to them.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse nods, taking the chain and holding it around Luna�s neck and fastens it, �There you are.�
Claron giggles, �Don�t think I want to have the others enjoy the view of either one of us. Besides, I promise you a lifetime of views.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Sounds like a good thing to be able to do,� Stryder nods listening to Shinta.
Tewyn flips the stone, �I�d say they just block the power when a summoner is near.�
Luna_Faline leans into Eclipse for a moment. Stepping back, �Thank you, I thought it was lost as well. I found it hidden in my room.�
Tabris: �Well, good thing the view never gets old,� Tabris kisses Claron then winks at her.
^Shinta shakes his head��Not at all. Many wayward souls are determined to get back to our side, and play it well, and in the wrong dimension my life can be at great risk...I�ve been attacked more than once and barely came back.�
Clarissa looks over at Stryder, ~Did you hear that? You know how much I hate to admit it when you are right.~
Vin_Da_DM: ~Heard it...interesting.~ Stryder eyes Clarissa as he speaks, then looks back at Shinta, �Well, if you need any help against these souls.�
Clarice: �So, one only has to be in possession of them, not toss them at them or something?�
^Shinta smirks, �Clarissa, I have a question to ask from�ummm�two of my companions...If I may?�
Tewyn: �Nope�One still needs to control the power.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Things lost are eventually found. It is only a matter of time and luck,� Eclipse nods to Luna studying the amulet for a second.
Clarissa eyes widen, �Directed at me?�
^Shinta nods, �Help is always welcome, young Stryder...thank you.�
Luna_Faline tilts my head looking at Eclipse. �Well, I have lost many things in many lives I�m sure,� placing a paw on his arm, �Shall we go to the galley?�
^Shinta looks to Clarissa, �Yes, they would like to know something about you.�
Clarice: �Well, fuck me running�just how DOES one control the power? Is it like controlling my ice?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Where you go, so shall I,� Eclipse nods a yes to Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: �Oo, personal inquiry.� Stryder shimmers and re-appears standing behind Clarissa, �This should be an interesting answer.�
Luna_Faline steps thru the door and into the hall with Eclipse, as we walk, �About my claws, will that gift always be there?� I whisper.
Clarissa shrugs her shoulders, �Sure, why not�go ahead...ask then.�
Tewyn rubs the stone, �We will have to find out.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Until you no longer want it, I presume,� Eclipse shrugs, �I believe the humans say, �It did not come with a handbook�.�
Vin_Da_DM: The stone pulses lightly when rubbed, but does not appear to have any effect beyond that.
^Shinta blushes, �Okay, this is from Remy, so please be understanding�But he asks if you need laid or something, cause you are the most ill mannered person he ever saw.�
Claron looks at Tabris, �I have avoided contact with our daughter for way too long now. I am thinking, that was not a wise decision.�
Fern communes with the tree, ecstatic to find one such as he there. So intent is she upon this, she does not realize how much she is broadcasting for any to hear if they are so tuned.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder tilts backward laughing.
Tewyn: �Guess that�s a start.�
Luna_Faline giggles as we enter the galley. �I would say not.�
Clarissa looks innocently back at ^Shinta, �Laid? I don�t think I understand what that means?�
Vin_Da_DM: Suddenly the ships com buzzes to life with Alexei voice, �Looks like we�re picking up a distress signal of some sort coming from nearby. It�s got an odd pattern to it.�
^Shinta: �The act of procreation...you know, having sex?�
Clarissa glares at Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder walks away holding his stomach as he tries to stop laughing.
Vin_Da_DM: �Well...I hope we didn�t interrupt anything,� Eclipse looks over at Shinta and the others.
^Shinta looks over to Eclipse, �No, not at all.�
Luna_Faline smiles, �We could just sit back and watch quietly.�
Tabris: �Distress signal? Did you hear that?� Tabris looks over at Claron.
Vin_Da_DM: Alexei continues, �This big robot fellow says we should check it out. If you guys agree send someone up here.�
^Shinta: �Okay, I�ll take the long pause as a not willing to answer...the other comes from a soul much like yours.�
Luna_Faline looks at Clarissa, �I believe your aunt would be a great source of information on the subject. If you need it clarified further,� I purrumble.
Vin_Da_DM: In the garden the crab continues to water, occasionally looking at Fern and the tree.
Clarissa blushes crimson red, �No, no!� The images of things she saw Shaiya and RD doing to others goes through her head when she use to spy on them... �No! I definitely think not!�
Luna_Faline watches her reaction, �I know that look. It�s not as you saw.� I tell Clarissa, remembering the things I was exposed to in captivity as well.
Claron: �Of course, I did. Maybe we should see what its about,� heading towards the door.
Vin_Da_DM: �Hmm...seems like something else is up besides 20 questions,� Stryder comments after hearing the com messages.
Tabris: �Might as well,� Tabris heads out the door and into the hallway..
^Shinta tries to suppress a giggle, �Would you like to hear the question from Kyo...but its more like a word of advice.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse listens to the conversation standing near Luna.
Clarissa : � �and the other question?� trying to regain her composure.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Gonna go check this out.~ Stryder glances at Clarissa before shimmering out of the galley.
Luna_Faline turns toward the replicator with a glance at Eclipse out the corner of my eye. I order a tuna sandwich and glass of cream.
^Shinta: �Why do you let your anger control you? Unless you confront it you will lose your life to it and all those trying to be close to you.�
Clarissa tries to absorb what Luna said as she waits for ^Shinta�s other question or comment.
Vin_Da_DM: On the bridge Alexei looks at the Guardian as Stryder shimmers in, �Well, at least one of you shows up.�
Claron and Tabris head towards the bridge.
Luna_Faline takes my dinner and sits down at the closest table to eat quickly, as I wait for news from the bridge. I continue watching the side show in the galley.
Tabris looks around in the bridge, noticing Stryder, �So, what�s up with this distress call?�
Clarissa stands looking at ^Shinta, �Maybe its cause its the only way I know.�
Vin_Da_DM: Alexei nods, �Not on a regular channel. It�s coming from a nearby system, got some strange code that Ettik thinks is civilian. I think we should check it out.� Alexei looks at Claron and Tabris.
^Shinta stands and places a hand on Clarissa�s shoulder. �What you know and what your scared to ask are very different�� Starts walking away.
Vin_Da_DM: Suddenly Ettik changes course by itself and does a short hyperspace jump, depositing the Ettik in a system with a large sun and a ship is floating ahead of Ettik
^Shinta turns back at the door, �The worst thing I have ever had to do is pass on the feelings of remorse from a soul passed over...It rips the hearts out of those who cared for them, cause they never got a chance to show it....Don�t let that be you...Kyo said I should pass that along to you,� walks out.
Clarissa watches as ^Shinta walks away, her mind still awhirl.
Vin_Da_DM: �That�s the source...looks to be about twice our size. Sensors are acting up.� Alexei says as he looks over the readouts on his control screen.
Claron: �I agree. I think we should check it out, too.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Looks like the ship made up it�s mind for us, Mom.� Stryder adds as he points to the ship on the viewport.
Luna_Faline notices the change out the window, �Eclipse? Purrhaps we should check that out?�
Claron looks to where Stryder is pointing, �It would appear so, son.�
^Shinta walks onto the bridge, �So where we heading?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Agreed,� Eclipse nods to Luna.
Luna_Faline finishes the glass of cream in one long drink, then stands up and heads toward the bridge.
Vin_Da_DM: The Guardian looks at Shinta as he enters, �We have run across a ship broadcasting distress,� he motions to the viewport.
Clarissa glances over at Luna_Faline, �What did you mean, that it is not like what I saw?�
Luna_Faline pauses at the galley door, turning back to look at Clarissa, �I saw many things as well in the company of the Dark Enemy. That is not what love is really like.�
Clarissa nods her head slightly.
Vin_Da_DM: Alexei looks over the data, �Registry reads as the ES Icarus, not much else other than the distress call is standard civilian SOS.�
Luna_Faline: �And as I said, I believe your aunt would be a useful source of information on the subject.�
Clarissa scratches her head. ~Now I am really confused.~
^Shinta: �Well, we never pass up helping someone.�
Tabris: �Looks like we�ll have to do the usual thing,� Tabris sighs lightly but continues, �Hop onboard and have a look around.�
Luna_Faline turns again toward the bridge.
Claron: �Just like old times.�
Luna_Faline entering the bridge, �What would be like old times?� I ask Claron.
Clarissa looks around the galley with her eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: �Docking hatch is on the underbelly,� Alexei says as the Ettik turns and slowly glides to the underside of the Icarus. A short clunk sounds as you dock, �All right, showing breathable atmosphere with a slightly higher CO� level.�
Claron smiles as Luna_Faline enters, �Distress calls, boarding ships��
Vin_Da_DM: Clarissa notices a large ship out one of the galley windows.
Luna_Faline shrugs, �Well, I do suppose some things never change then.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Just head to the exit hatch and you�re good to go,� Alexei says looking back at the crew.
Luna_Faline goes to the hatch and pauses, �Are we ready for this?�
^Shinta: �Well. Lets go see what the problem is.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Time to go be the good guys,� Stryder smiles as he heads to the hatch.
Tewyn grabs Clarice, �We better go see what�s going on.�
Clarissa notices the ship out the viewport. ~Wait for me, Stryder.~ Uses her nose to follow the crew members� trail.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks over Luna�s shoulder into the docking room of the Icarus, �I suppose we are.�
Luna_Faline reaches out and touches the control to open the hatch. �Here we go then.�
Clarice: �Damn, and here I thought you were wanting to take me right here on the spot.�
Tewyn: �We have other concerns,� smiling slyly at her.
Vin_Da_DM: The hatch slides open into the circular docking room of the Icarus. Most of the lights are broken, except for a few and one hanging and sparking.
Clarice: �Too bad!� Pats Tewyn�s bum. �Later then��
Luna_Faline steps thru the hatch into the docking room, carefully avoiding the sparking light.
Tabris: As Tabris jogs down Ettik�s corridor he pauses at the hatch waiting for Claron.
Tewyn: �Maybe later.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder crosses his arms and waits impatiently for Clarissa.
Vin_Da_DM: �I believe this place has seen better days,� Eclipse glances around.
^Shinta steps thru the hatch.
Luna_Faline nods.
Clarissa races towards the others, ~You aren�t going to leave me here on this ship alone. No way!~ stopping dead just in front of Stryder.
Luna_Faline looks around the room and beyond into the ship.
Vin_Da_DM: A screen buzzing with static lights up on the wall, �Welcome...*zzzt*�board the ES Icarus...*zzt*...crew will be....*zzt*..shortly, thank you.�
Claron catches up to Tabris.
Luna_Faline looks at the screen and then back at Eclipse, �That doesn�t sound right.�
Tewyn gets to the hatch and enters it.
Tabris and Claron make it to the hatch and enter it.
Vin_Da_DM: Several doors lead out of the docking room. Two are broken and smoking, one jammed open and one stuck halfway, a trashcan wedged in it.
Clarice follows Tewyn in.
Tabris looks around, �Well...creepy and dark. Why does this seem familiar?�
Luna_Faline looks at the doors, �Which way do we go?�
Tewyn: �Hey, its home!�
Claron: �Maybe cause we done this lots before.�
Vin_Da_DM: �We can stick together or split up,� Stryder comments as he steps into the room.
Luna_Faline sniffs the air trying to get a direction.
Clarissa enters the hatch alongside of Stryder, ~You mean you will trust me on my own?~
Vin_Da_DM: �There are enough of us to split into groups of four,� Eclipse looks around at the gather group.
Vin_Da_DM: �I will remain here incase of trouble,� Guardian�s voice echoes slightly in the room as he ducks in the hatch then looks around.
Clarissa hearing Eclipse replies, �I�ll stick with Stryder like fat on a pig.�
Tewyn: �Well, lets group up then.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Not that close, Sis�� Stryder eyes Clarissa.
Clarissa twitches her nose and listens intently.
Luna_Faline: �I really don�t like this,� I growl under my breath.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna and Clarissa both smell that the air is very stale, but the scent of people is still in the air. Several other odd smells are faint.
^Shinta: �Do we ever really like it?�
Tabris and Claron move closer to their children, �Shall we form one group?� Claron asks the twins.
Tabris: �Not usually. Least there�s no blood yet,� Tabris comments then looks at Claron, �Quality family time!�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse counts again, �All right, I guess the rest of us are together.�
Luna_Faline nods, �Let�s just get this over with.�
Clarissa: There was a lot of people, but then there is something else�� heads off in the direction of one of the odd scents.
Tewyn: �So, we get the furry one and the identity crisis�yay!�
Vin_Da_DM: Clarissa beings to head for the stuck door, the lack of odor from the trashcan an odd sign.
Clarice playfully jabs Tewyn, �Might be better this way,� glancing back at the DuVallis group.
Vin_Da_DM: �I guess we have this hallway then,� Eclipse walks towards the open door.
Luna_Faline: �Your just jealous, you have no warmth,� I mutter as I turn to follow Eclipse.
Tewyn: �Better send a therapist with them.�
Clarissa: �That�s odd, a trashcan that doesn�t smell.� Looks closer at the trashcan.
Tewyn: �Who needs the hair to be warm�with this body I�m just damn hot, baby!�
Vin_Da_DM: The trashcan is empty, save some crumpled magazines of no interest.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder eyes the door then steps over the trashcan into the hallway beyond.
^Shinta starts walking down the other hall following Luna_Faline.
Clarissa tries the door after discovering the trash can is of no interest. �It�s stuck.�
Luna_Faline chooses to ignore him and looks around the hallway Eclipse is leading us down.
Clarissa: ~That�s right leave me alone with them.~
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead of Luna and the others the hallway is sparsely lit with more broken lights. Numerous side doors line the walls with a set of double doors and a sparking panel next to them sit at the far end.
Tabris: �Noticed that dear, just step over the can.� Tabris nudges Clarissa as he watches Stryder in the hallway.
Vin_Da_DM: In both hallways the same voice from the screen speaks, still static-filled, �*zzzt* crew please...*zzt* to docking *zzt*...once.�
Clarissa fights the urge to say something nasty as Tabris jabs her, instead she obeys and steps over the trashcan.
Tabris follows Clarissa then offers Claron a hand, meanwhile Stryder begins to look around.

Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse glances around as he walks forward slowly, �Doesn�t seem to be anybody around.�
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �Then why are we doing this?�
Clarissa watches the way Tabris helps Claron then turns back and pays attention to what her senses are telling her.
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead in hallway B several of the doors are in varying condition. Two have large holes burnt into them and one is held open by a bed.
Vin_Da_DM: Hallway A has very few doors, but splits at a T up ahead. Several broken mechanical devices line the floor.
Tewyn: �Well, that doesn�t look favorable.�
Luna_Faline looks thru the open doors, �It looks like the people had to battle the doors to get out?�
Luna_Faline: �Purrhaps they had a power failure and they couldn�t operate the doors?�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna notices something dark move in the one of the rooms, it seems to notice her and disappears into a hole in the floor.
Clarissa walks closer to the T looking at the broken mechanical devices before sniffing in both directions.
Luna_Faline pauses at the door watching the movement, �I think I saw something in there.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Interesting, I�m not sure what these are,� Stryder eyes the broken items on the floor.
Vin_Da_DM: �What did you see?� Eclipse looks at Luna questioningly.
Luna_Faline: �Something dark went down thru the floor.�
^Shinta: �Well, that�s not good.�
Clarice looks. �I didn�t see anything move.�
Luna_Faline: �Maybe a pet, or rodent? Or could be an infestation of some kind?�
Vin_Da_DM: Clarissa can smell the odd odors stronger from here, and the scent of something coppery down the left hallway.
Vin_Da_DM: �Hmm�� Eclipse looks in the room, �Perhaps you scared it off.�
Tewyn: �If there is a rat that can make holes like that...then your in trouble, Kitty.�
Luna_Faline: �I hope so,� shivering.
Luna_Faline looks at Tewyn with a cold stare, �Your lucky I was not a mousing breed,� letting my gaze move down him slowly.
Clarissa: �It smells stronger here,� turns back towards the left... �Coppery smelling,� starts to move down the hallway on the left.
Vin_Da_DM: A short metallic crumpling sounds in Hallway B as the bed holding the door open is crushed in half, and the door jams shut on it. A datapad lands on the floor from the bed.
Tabris: �Don�t think you should be going off by yourself,� Tabris looks at Claron then heads after Clarissa.
Tewyn: �You�re right...rat breath is horrible in the morning, let me tell ya.�
Clarice: �Don�t even think about it, kitty,� sending a slight chill thru Luna_Faline.
^Shinta: �OKAY, you two, keep your minds on what we came here for...Let�s go check it out.�
Luna_Faline: �Then I would suggest you brush teeth after your meals.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse turns at the commotion and looks at the datapad, �Perhaps this will be insightful.�
Claron: �Okay, son. Shall we follow them or check out this direction?� points to the right.
Luna_Faline: The amulet resting outside my cloak changes color briefly and I look at Clarice, �That wasn�t nice.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Up to you. Not sure if leaving them alone is good or not.� Stryder shrugs and looks down the right hallway.
Luna_Faline steps away from Clarice and Tewyn, moving to the other side of Eclipse, I look at the datapad he picked up. �What does it say?�
Vin_Da_DM: Picking it up Eclipse looks at it, �Hmm,� pressing a button an audio playback occurs from the pad.
Claron: �Your father can handle her just fine,� starts off towards the right, �Coming?�
Vin_Da_DM: A woman�s voice speaks up, �Daily record of Lt. Moss, damn doors are still on the fritz. Captain is sending me to engineering to find out what the hell is going on down there.�
Vin_Da_DM: The recording skips a bit and continues, �...odd noises in the elevator. Ended up on the rec-deck, like the elevator missed engineering entirely. Gonna have to use the vents at this rate��
Luna_Faline: �That doesn�t sound good.�
Tewyn: �Not good at all.�
Clarice listens quietly.
Vin_Da_DM: The record skips once more, �Finally got to engineering. What the hell happened?...Like someone took a welder to the whole section. Someone�s coming...Jones is that�*zzzt*�� The recording stops and Eclipse blinks at it.
^Shinta: �That sounds like a tragic end.�
Clarissa hears Tabris following her and continues to walk towards the coppery smell.
Vin_Da_DM: �Interesting...how did this get here then?� Eclipse eyes the others.
Luna_Faline: �I don�t think we should be here. It feels like a trap. Something is hungry and we could be dinner,� looking around nervously.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder nods as he and Claron head down the hallway.
Claron looks around as they walk observing everything and anything.
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead of Clarissa the hall opens into a large room, several tables and chairs are overturned. The coppery smell is coming from a large red pool on the floor with what appears to be a large pile of...goo.
Vin_Da_DM: Claron notices the hallway is missing several panels, leaving wiring exposed. A black shape moves across the hall from one room to another ahead of them.
Tewyn: �Well, that wouldn�t be a surprise.�So many people hate us.�
Clarissa stops suddenly as she sees the red pool of goo, �I don�t think that�s Jell-o.�
Tabris: �Neither do I�� Tabris eyes the goo then looks around the room. �No bodies...that is creepy.�
Claron: �Did you see that?� as she notices the dark shadow. �Someone or something is here!�
Vin_Da_DM: �Noticed it...don�t think it saw us though.� Stryder cautiously looks around.
Vin_Da_DM: �What shall we do now?� Eclipse looks around the hallway.
Luna_Faline: �Unless you have a better idea, I say we get the hell out of here.�
Clarissa: �Why isn�t there any bodies, where or what happened to them?�That�s a lot of blood.�
Claron walks more cautiously in the direction she saw the shadow going.
Vin_Da_DM: As Luna speaks the same voice speaks from the sparking console near the double doors at the end of the hall, �Elevator *zzt*...ving, please *zzt* step.�
Tewyn: �We can�t just leave.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse turns his head and looks at the double doors with a raised brow.
Luna_Faline shrugs, �Then get on the elevator?�
Clarice: �No doubt this is part of the Dark Army�s doing.�
^Shinta: �That thing I do not trust...Eclipse anyway you can move us around?�
Vin_Da_DM: As the elevator doors open you notice several boxes stacked against each other facing the door, several bullet casings are scattered about the inside floor.
Clarice looks at the boxes and the bullet casings.
Luna_Faline: �I�m not getting on it,� I growl.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at Shinta for a moment, �Let us find out�� Stepping into a section of shadow on the wall Eclipse disappears.
Clarice: �You accessorizing with yellow now, Luna?�
Vin_Da_DM: As Clarice gets closer she notices the body crumpled against the other side of the boxes. It is holding a shotgun and appears to be a green scaled humanoid, several cauterized holes are drilled through him.
Clarice: �There�s a dead body in here!�
Tewyn: �Well, what did you expect?�
Luna_Faline just shakes my head refusing to speak.
Vin_Da_DM: Claron notices open vents in the room the black thing disappear into. Stryder looks around, �It must be using those to get around, whatever it is.�
Tabris steps over the goo and continues to look around the large room, �Hmm, got a hole in the floor over here. Big enough to jump down.�
Clarice shakes her head at Tewyn, �Looks like he was burned thru judging by them holes��
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse slides out of the ceiling landing on the floor, �I think I can get us around safer than that can.�
Tewyn: �But burned by what?�
^Shinta: �Then that is our best option,� looking at Eclipse.
Claron: �I think you are right and now the question is do we go into the vent system?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Up to you...hey, what�s that?� Stryder points to a datapad near the vent cover.
Claron walks over towards the vent and picks up the datapad and pushes the on button.
Vin_Da_DM: The datapad in Claron�s hand buzzes for a moment then starts up, mid-sentences, �...heard from Moss. Damn Doc is buzzing me every hour trying to find her. I swear.�
Clarissa makes her way around what appears to be the galley checking to make sure there are no bodies.
Luna_Faline moves to Eclipse, �Let�s go then.�
Vin_Da_DM: It fast forwards with a loud squeal, �...man. I knew there was something wrong. Midnight ran off into the vent after I heard some noises in there...damn dog.�
Claron: �It appears people must have suddenly and unexpectedly disappeared.�
Tewyn: �Lead the way shadow man.�
Vin_Da_DM: �All right. I can�t say for certain where we�ll end up, but go fast otherwise you�ll end up separated.� Eclipse eyes the others then sticks a hand in the shadows on the wall, causing it to ripple.
Vin_Da_DM: �Maybe the dog is what we saw,� Stryder comments to Claron as he peers into the vent.
Claron: �I think we need to check the vents, but not certain we should do it alone...Can you shimmer us out?�If things should go�not as expected, Stryder?�
Luna_Faline moves quickly into the shadow.
^Shinta follows behind Luna_Faline.
Tewyn grabs Clarice, �Come on, slow poke,� jumping in behind the others.
Vin_Da_DM: �I�ll try, Mom�� Stryder shrugs.
Claron: �Maybe, but somehow I don�t believe it was.�
Tabris watches Clarissa then eyes the hole again, �Go back or jump down. That�s our options, sweetie.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse ducks into the shadows as well.
Clarissa: �I dunno if I want to jump,� leaning closer to the hole using her senses.
Vin_Da_DM: �Guess we better get started then�� Stryder kneels down and crawls into the vent.
Tabris: �Yes, you do.� Tabris grabs Clarissa tight and jumps down into the hole with her.
Clarissa screams, ~Stryder!!!~
Claron nods to Stryder and crawls in behind him.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse and the others end up in a large room that looks completely melted. Luna instantly notices the unknown odor is strong here. Several scraping sounds echo in the room and draw closer.
Vin_Da_DM: $ End
