Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: Narrowly escaping the burning winds, the group made it to the other side of the field of lava and giant dead trees. This new section of land that lay between them and the temple belonged to savage demons.
Vin_Da_DM: As Black Inferno and Lilly made their way ahead the others followed behind them but stopped when the Guardian detected a humanoid life sign mixed in with the demons at one of their small nearby camps.
Vin_Da_DM: Not wanting to give up their prisoner the demons attacked the Warriors. Defeating them and driving the remainder off the group found and rescued the human Ist, an interesting monk, and continued on their way.
Vin_Da_DM: As they reached and crossed the small sandy section of desert the ruined temple came into view. Somewhere within the walls of that temple was Bronze attempting to resurrect the long dead sorceress.
Vin_Da_DM: Unbeknownst to the Warriors they were being watched by Cara and Kabal, who began to plan their attack against the Warriors in order to oppose Bronze without interference.
Vin_Da_DM: *Time Passed: None*
Vin_Da_DM: The massive stone ruins glow softly in the setting sunlight as the group approaches. Skellech glances around in amazement, �Magnificent, I never thought I�d see this place of legend.�
Vin_Da_DM: �This isn�t a tour. We have to find the traitor, kill him and destroy whatever�s in that box,� Black Inferno growls after his sentence as he glances around the ruins, �And we�re not alone.�
Vin_Da_DM: $ Start
^Lilly^ following Black Inferno�s gaze, �They�re back,� a huge smile on her face as the others approach.
Vin_Da_DM: �Father and his little girlfriend...how nice to see you again,� Cara says as she lands on top of a nearby pillar studying the group and watching Tewyn.
Vin_Da_DM: �And you�ve brought Daegriss� lapdog as well,� Kabal continues, landing on a pillar opposite the group as Cara, �Two birds with one stone, as they say.�
Clarice�s eyes grow large as she realizes she is once again about to face Tewyn�s own children.
^Lilly^ turns back to the temple scanning the walls, softly utters, �The twins��
Vin_Da_DM: �You two again...I should have known,� Stryder says as he narrows his gaze at the two.
Luna_Faline watches the family reunion.
Clarissa looks over towards Stryder, ~Surely you must have known they would be here too.~
Kat|e eyes the two, looking from them to Tewyn. �So this is the result of a Froggy and a Hell Bitch.� she murmurs softly.
Vin_Da_DM: �Shaiya�s little brats. Couldn�t find your way, so you followed us, how typical. How is your mother doing in Hell?� Black Inferno grins as he moves his sword about a bit.
^Lilly^ turns at the sound of Kat|e�s voice, �Apparently.�
Kat|e smirks, �Kinda pleasant to look on, I hafta say. Pity they can�t stay.�
Claron stands next to Tabris looking over Tewyn�s children then whispers softly, �I don�t think I would want to be in Tewyn�s shoes.��
^Lilly^ reaching for her daggers, her eyes locking back on the twins.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse stands next to Luna, �Well, this should be interesting.�
Clarice glances at Tewyn to see if he has any visible reaction to seeing his own children.
Luna_Faline nods, �Very, and such a good place for it,� I purr as I cross my arms.
Vin_Da_DM: �No words for us, dear Father? Pity�� Kabal draws his sword silently.
Tewyn watches the children, �Just that your mother was a bitch and fucked your head up...sorry I didn�t fix her sooner.�
Clarice draws in a deep breath as she sees Kabal draw his sword.
Vin_Da_DM: Purple flames begin to streak around Cara�s body as she grins at Tewyn, �Well then. Perhaps we should fix you now, too.�
^Lilly^�s eyes moving from Tewyn to the twins in front of him, �Hmm. Don�t think they like us being here.�
Tabris whispers back to Claron, �I�m guessing they won�t just stop at fighting him.�
Kat|e can�t help but smile, �Yer tadpoles are somethin� else, Froggy,� she says softly under her breath.
Luna_Faline leans my head toward Eclipse, �I like the purple effect, but let�s just see who fixes who.�
Vin_Da_DM: ~They�re pretty calm...yet angry. It�s hard to read them...~ Stryder gives Clarissa a puzzled look.
Tewyn: �If you think that�s what you have to do, but how bout we make it a family thing�let the others move on.�
Claron nods her head, �They will not be happy till he suffers the same fate as their mother....no doubt about that.�
Vin_Da_DM: �A family thing, hmm? Very well. I�ll take you and Cara can take that sweet little brothel whore of yours.� Kabal smirks.
^Lilly^: �Hmm, a family thing and they want Clarice to come along�� turning to Clarice, �Acceptance into the family, huh?�
Tewyn shakes his head, �No, she goes with the others...THIS is for us three to settle.�
Clarissa looks at Stryder nodding her head in reply.
^Shinta watches wearily.
Clarice winces briefly remembering her first encounter of the two.
Vin_Da_DM: �Perhaps you think you are powerful enough to deal with us both,� Cara hops off her pillar landing in the sand at it�s base, �And what�s to stop your friends from lending a hand?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Hurry up and have your little rumble, or I�ll start it for you!� Black Inferno shouts at Tewyn as he watches the twins.
Clarice replies to ^Lilly^, �Highly unlikely.�
Kat|e perches on a ledge and watches, crossing her arms with a shrug.
^Lilly^ shrugs, �Well, that�s surely what it looked like, Clarice.�
Tewyn glares at Black Inferno, �You will stay out of it�� Looking back at the twins, �No, I will probably die trying...but I�m doing what needs to be done�so lets go.�
Tewyn looks at Tabris��Got one favor, if I could...may I borrow some of that obsidian of yours?�
^Lilly^ raising an eyebrow, �Obsidian?� Turning to Black Inferno, �Shouldn�t we just go?�
Clarice places a hand on Tewyn, �No, you can�t.�� stopping her words in mid-sentence knowing that her drow will do whatever it takes.
Tabris: �How much?� Tabris looks at Tewyn curiously.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal hops off his pillar and joins his sister near Tewyn, �Hurry up. Our patience is limited.�
Tewyn: �Just enough to tinker with�got to make my gray butt black now.�
^Shinta watches, �Are you sure about this?�
Vin_Da_DM: Guardian shakes his head, �I will assume you know what you�re doing, Tewyn. Do you wish us to wait?�
Tewyn turns to Clarice, �You guys got some others to go battle...I�ll hold these two off for as long as I can.�
Clarissa finally looks at Kabal as he joins his sister, her heart feels like it is about to burst from her chest.
Tewyn shakes his head, �You better get what we came for, if you can find Bronze.�
Vin_Da_DM: �As short as that will be,� Black Inferno huffs as he walks past them towards the temple ruins.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Calm down, Sis�~ Stryder holds Clarissa�s arm gently.
^Lilly^ follows Black Inferno.
Luna_Faline moves past the family feud to follow Black Inferno. �I don�t think I�ll hang around for this.�
Tabris tosses Tewyn one of his obsidian swords, �Knock yourself out. But you better come back in one piece. I�d hate to have my sister in-law missing her man.�
Tewyn: �Just take care of her...okay?�
Vin_Da_DM: �It won�t be pretty...but if Tewyn�s as good as I think, he�ll live.� Eclipse adds as he follows next to Luna.
Kat|e hops off her ledge and follows the others.
Clarissa feels Stryder�s next to her, ~He stands little chance, if any. You and I both know that.~
Tewyn takes the obsidian and forms it around his body. �Okay, kiddies. Lets see what Mommy taught ya.�
Tabris: �You know it,� Tabris nods to Tewyn then looks at Claron. He motions to Clarice, �Come on, Clarice.�
Luna_Faline looks at Eclipse, �I�m sure your right, but I imagine he�ll need me when he�s done,� with a sigh.
Clarice moves close to Tewyn, �You better never let me down,� kisses him gently before following after Tabris and Claron.
Vin_Da_DM: ~He�s stronger than you give him credit...defeat will not be his end.~ Stryder says as he moves to follow Luna and Eclipse.
Tewyn moves into Clarice�s touch, �Just get that box.�
^Lilly^ approaching next to Black Inferno, �So, do you have any idea where this butthead Bronze is?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Do I look like I have a map, little girl? He�s probably in the tomb, which in this place is down,� Inferno shakes his head at Lilly.
^Shinta follows behind the others giving Tewyn a smile, �Got a soul of a samurai in there yet.�
^Lilly^ glaring as I move ahead of Inferno, �Figures he�d resort to sarcasm.��
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, now that that�s over with. Shall we?� Cara looks at Tewyn.
Clarissa watches as the others begin to follow Black Inferno before moving and stopping next to Tewyn, �Just when I think you have a heart�� continues in the direction of the others, feels her heart skip a beat as she passes Kabal and glances at him.
Tewyn: �Yes, lets start this.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal eyes Clarissa before looking back at Tewyn, �Mother always said this would be a fight to remember.�
Vin_Da_DM: Cara and Kabal quickly separate from their positions to flank Tewyn. The purple flames around Cara take hold of several large pieces of debris, igniting them as they hover into the air.
Clarissa smiles softly, �Doesn�t mean you have to find out ��
Tewyn kneels down watching them both closely.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal plants his sword in the ground as the sand begins to rise and twist into swirling cloud surrounding Tewyn, Cara and himself in a wide area.
Tewyn: �So, hate me that much do you? Guess Mommy lied well.�
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno glances around the hallway as they enter the main chamber. The missing room lets the faint light from dusk shine in. �Well...time to start looking.�
Clarissa glances back over her shoulder and sees the swirling sand cloud engulf the three.
Tewyn slams his hands into the ground sending waves of sand toward them both.
^Lilly^ looking each way, �So which way �guide�.�
Luna_Faline looks back at Clarissa, �So what do you know about Bronze?�
Vin_Da_DM: �You�d be surprised how much killing someone�s Mother changes their feelings about you,� Kabal says as he pulls his sword back and cuts the wave in half with a grin.
Tewyn: �So if she had killed me before you ever got to know all about me, this would be any different?�
Vin_Da_DM: Cara turns to side as several lashes of flame block the sand from hitting her, tilting her head to the side she sends two large flaming blocks at Tewyn.
Clarissa catches up to the others in the main chamber listening and sniffing the air. �He greatly desires power, the more power the better.�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech moves around the main hall, �Hmmm....all these inscriptions are quite old.�
Luna_Faline: �Don�t they all? What are his abilities?�
Tewyn rolls to dodge the flaming blocks then goes to absorb them into the obsidian, making it into a flaming mass, �Thanks, sweetie, I knew you loved Daddy.�
^Lilly^ turning to Black Inferno, �I know I annoy you and all, but you could at least answer me.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal lowers his sword and dips his hand into the sand getting a handful. Throwing it at Tewyn it turns into a large batch of liquid that douses the flames.
Clarissa looks squarely at Luna_Faline, �Master of inescapable force fields.�
Tewyn turns to Kabal, �Hmm, Mommy taught you some tricks...but I see you both avoided my question,� Sinking into the sand and tries to drag Kabal under with him.
Luna_Faline holds Clarissa�s gaze, �I see.�
Vin_Da_DM: �If she had killed you, we wouldn�t have bothered with your friends!� Kabal says as he flips away from the sinking sand.
Clarice looks around the main chamber while fighting the urge to run out to help the man she loves.
Vin_Da_DM: Cara kneels down against the sand and sticks her hand into it. With a large rumble the ground around Tewyn shoots him upward into the air.
Tewyn pops back up, �My friends are not me.�
Tewyn takes the hit hard. �Ummmpph, you take after Daddy.�
Luna_Faline blinks and asks softly, �What are your feelings about him?�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech examines several writings on the walls, �Hmm...light and dark together will open the first path.� He glances around the room, �Now, what would that mean?�
^Lilly^ rolling my eyes, �Fine, I�ll find my way.�
^Shinta walks up to Kat|e, �So still think he is a frog now?�
^Lilly^ turns towards Skellech as he mutters something, �A riddle?�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal smirks as he dashes over at Tewyn dragging several pillars of sand waves behind him. Jumping over Tewyn he sends the pillars rolling towards him.
Luna_Faline doesn�t wait for an answer from Clarissa, but moves over to Skellech, �Light and dark, could mean good and bad together.�
Kat|e raises an eyebrow, but keeps walking, �I think it will be a long time before I feel I can trust him. His methods leave a lot to be desired, sometimes.�
Tewyn coughs holding his side, �That�s Daddy�s lil girl alright,� running towards her, �Better watch it, Sonny, gonna hurt lil sis like that, sinking and appearing behind Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: �Good and bad together, bah, old riddles!� Inferno looks at Skellech and Luna, �And how would the traitor have done it. He has no good.�
^Lilly^ gazes at Black Inferno, �Are you sure?�
^Shinta: �Can say that for most of us...don�t you think�
Clarissa hears Skellech then remembers the visit she had with her grandfather... ~Light and dark together.~
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �We don�t know if someone is with him or not.�
Tewyn grabs Cara by the shoulders, �Did you think I didn�t want to be in your life, or did Mommy lie about that, too.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Wanting to be in it and actually being there are very different,� Cara sinks down out of Tewyn�s grip then shoots up as the rolling pillars crash into Tewyn.
Kat|e stops, �Well, the day you leave me to die just so your plans of sabotage can be carried out, I�ll no longer trust you, either.� she says angrily.
Vin_Da_DM: �Bah! Figure this out quickly, I grow impatient with this old fool.� Inferno points his sword at Skellech who ignores him and moves around the room.
^Shinta raises a brow at Kat|e, �And if you ever think I�d sabotage anything, maybe you don�t want any part of me at all��
Claron observes the others, �Its obvious he�s not in this chamber, and we are wasting time standing here��
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech points to several markings and spots on the walls, �I think I get it now.�
^Lilly^ giggling, �I think you get impatient if you aren�t killing or causing pain and chaos��
Tewyn struggles out of the pile of rubble, �One has to be given that chance first, she hid you from me, till recently and only showed me in my dreams,� coughing.
Clarissa eyes the lizard-like man, �Well, maybe you can enlighten the others among you.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Perhaps she didn�t trust you as well as you thought!� Kabal says as he stands on the rubble behind Tewyn holding his sword at him.
Kat|e lets out a huffing breath, �I mean, if you are ever playing �double agent� like he was.�
Tewyn lunges at Kabal sending shards of the rubble toward his head, and punches my obsidian covered hand into his gut.
^Shinta shakes his head, �Maybe you forgot of one willing to give his life to save those of all others around him...think you need to look more closely, and see things for how they really are.�
Luna_Faline looks at the inscriptions around the room, �So what do they say?�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech looks at everyone in the room, �Everyone stand at one of the inscriptions,� Moving to each of the inscription at the head of the room he nods and points to two different symbols.
Kat|e: �Oh, your soooo right, oh wise one. He is such a noble martyr. We should bow and kiss his ass for playing us like he did.�
Tewyn: �Or maybe she was afraid if I was around, you wouldn�t turn out like this.�
Luna_Faline stands by one of them and waits.
Vin_Da_DM: �There should be one of these on each, try to see if they do anything.� Skellech says as he moves his hands over the one in front of him.
^Lilly^ standing in front of the nearest inscription and turning to Skellech, �And what is this gonna do?�
Kat|e shakes her head and goes over to stand by an inscription.
^Lilly^: Running her hand over the inscription in front of her not sure of what she�s looking for.�
^Shinta walks off, �You never do listen. Guess its easier to talk when that scotch lets you be free, huh?� walking away.
Clarissa moves closer to the inscriptions.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal manages to dodge the shard but not the gut shot. Stumbling back he smirks as he wipes blood from his lips, �Your talk is full of maybes.�
Kat|e gasps.
Luna_Faline runs a paw over the inscription, waiting for something to happen.
Vin_Da_DM: Lilly�s hand slides over one of the symbols pointed out and it clicks and depresses into the wall.
Kat|e: �You bastard. Is that what you think of me? That I�m a drunk?�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s clicks as well.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse watches the others before running his hands across the different symbols.
^Lilly^�s eyes grow large as the mark moves in, �Wow...now what?�
Tewyn: �As are your thoughts. You never thought of, what if Dad was around?�
Vin_Da_DM: �On the contrary. We thought of it a lot�� Cara says as she pauses watching Tewyn.
Kat|e tentatively touches the inscription.
Clarissa clutches her stomach as she moves under one of the inscriptions.
Tewyn sweeps Kabal�s legs, and forms the obsidian to a spike on his hands, and punches toward his shoulder.
Luna_Faline sees Clarissa holding herself and moves to her side, �What�s wrong?� I ask softly.
Clarice moves under an inscription and runs her hand over it.
^Shinta just keeps his back to Kat|e.
Vin_Da_DM: The spike pierces Kabal�s shoulder and he smiles, �Time to take after Mother now.� Kabal grabs Tewyn�s hand and sends a surge up it that shatters half of the obsidian coating on his body.
Claron looks over at Tabris as she places her hand on one of the inscriptions.
Tewyn stumbles back, �Good, good...let that anger out.�
Vin_Da_DM: Cara lowers her gaze watching Tewyn with Kabal, �But it is too late to repair what is long broken!� Cara launches herself at Tewyn, driving a burning fist into the exposed area at his side.
Tewyn stumbles toward Cara, �What of you, daughter? Got any anger for me?�
Tewyn falls back coughing heavily, struggling to his knees.
Vin_Da_DM: As the remaining inscriptions click into place a low rumble echoes through the room and out of the vacant hole in the ceiling.
^Lilly^ looking up at the hole, �I guess that answers my question.�
Tewyn: �That...so...ask your mentor, Clarissa...I�m sure you remember your time with her,� spitting up blood, his side covered in burns.
Vin_Da_DM: �Had enough anger yet, Father? Or would you care for another serving?� Kabal looks down at Tewyn seemingly ignoring the hole in his shoulder.
Tewyn staggers to his feet, �Please, sir. May I have another?�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech steps back as the wall in front of his slides apart revealing a torch-lit staircase heading down.
^Lilly^: Moving backwards, her eyes still locked above her.
Luna_Faline places a paw on Clarissa�s arm, �Are you hurt?� I ask again.
Clarissa shakes her head, �I don�t think so... jabbing feeling in my stomach is all.�
Tewyn staggers to Kabal and slaps him, �Come on, son�don�t tell me your done?�
Luna_Faline starts to move my paw to her stomach, �May I?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Just getting started, Dad,� Kabal eyes Tewyn as he nods to Cara. Kabal sends his fist into Tewyn�s gut with another surge shattering the rest of the armor.
Vin_Da_DM: Cara grabs two chunks of pillar engulfing them in her purple flames as she waits for the next move.
Clarissa shrugs her shoulders, �I guess so...couldn�t hurt�could it?�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech looks back at the others, �It appears we go down.�
Tewyn gasps and falls to his knees, grabs Kabal�s arm and snaps it over his shoulder.
^Lilly^ nods at Skellech as I move towards the stairs, starting her descent.
Claron sees the torch lit staircase, �Guess this is the way,� pointing her finger at it.
Luna_Faline places my paw on her stomach and moves over it pressing in different places trying to feel what is wrong. I try to stop the pain with my healing.
Vin_Da_DM: �Leave the girl, she�ll live...for now.� Inferno says as he descends in front of Lilly.
Tewyn eyes Cara, �Don�t you remember Clarissa? All the wrong and hate she taught cause of her hatred toward her parents, ask her those same questions now, my child.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal growls at his arm as he steps away from Tewyn.
^Lilly^ glaring as Black Inferno moves in front of me, �You could say excuse me...or is that too good for you?�
Clarissa watches Luna_Faline, �Doesn�t hurt...really��
Kat|e heads for the staircase, her eyes cold.
Vin_Da_DM: �Her answers may surprise you, should you ask her yourself.� Cara smirks lightly as she sends the first chunk at him, followed by the second from the side.
Tewyn coughs up more blood, vision going hazy, �Do what you must, as I am�just remember though�I wasn�t with you, I have a father�s love for you, one you have yet to find.�
Claron, Tabris and Stryder begin to descend down the stairs.
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno looks ahead as he descend, then reaches over and slaps Lilly, �Hmm...pain and yet I�m still impatient.�
^Lilly^ covering my face, still glaring.
Tewyn pulls up the sand shaping it to roll the first chunk toward Kabal, then trying to dodge the second.
Luna_Faline wonders what is going on but let�s it go for now, �Let�s move on, if it becomes a problem then we�ll deal with it again.�
Vin_Da_DM: �A few broken bones and some blood won�t stop me, Father.� Kabal extends his hand flat toward the first chunk. It hits his hand and shatters into pieces as he grins with a bloody smile through the falling shards.
Clarissa looks up at Luna_Faline, �Guess that�s his way of saying we better follow now.�
Vin_Da_DM: The second block misses Tewyn, but Cara moves towards his dodge point and sends a roundhouse into his back.
^Lilly^ continuing, �Watch it...you will regret that later.�
Clarice moves down the staircase behind the DuVallis family.
Tewyn peers at Kabal seeing two of him, �Didn�t think it would...but a broken heart.�� slamming to the ground at Cara�s kick.
Luna_Faline nods, �Yes, let�s go. The sooner we get this done the faster we get back to the other problem.�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech follows in the middle of the group as they descend the stairs.
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno reaches the end of the stairs and moves into the dark room ahead. As he steps into it torches on the wall burst to life with flickering yellow flames.
Luna_Faline moves to go down the stairs catching up with Eclipse, I whispurr, �We might need to keep an eye on her.�
^Lilly^ standing right behind Inferno as the wall bursts with light, �Hmm, nice trick.�
Vin_Da_DM: �It looks like we�ve won this little battle. Perhaps we should be good children and end your suffering?� Cara says as she walks around Tewyn from a few feet�s distance.
Tewyn lays on the ground for a moment before slowly rolling over, �You...are...strong� and make me proud as a Father�� blacking out.
Vin_Da_DM: �Out for the count...where�s the fun in that?� Kabal moves over and nudges Tewyn with his foot.
Clarice: �Guess you are handy for some things after all,� as Black Inferno�s appearance into the room lights all the torches.
Vin_Da_DM: �As much as you�d like to think so...I did not do that,� Inferno says as he looks around.
^Shinta follows the others silently looking around.
Claron looks around the room.
^Lilly^ smirking, �Yeah, I know.� Moving off of the stairs and in front of Black Inferno.
Clarice: �If you didn�t do it, who did?�
Clarissa having zipped quickly down the stairs stands quietly in the now lit area.
Vin_Da_DM: �Oh, well...he is worth more to us alive,� Cara looks to Kabal, �Orrys...I know you�re here. Mind our dear Father while we deal with the next problem.�
^Lilly^ examining the room as she moves ahead of the group.
Vin_Da_DM: A green creature with several long tendrils crawls out from behind pillars nearby as Kabal�s sandstorm fades away. �Yes, my lady,� It grabs Tewyn and starts dragging him away.
Vin_Da_DM: The room is rather large and oval-shaped. Nothing appears odd until Tabris missteps onto a section of floor that clicks.
^Lilly^ turning at the click, �Umm, I don�t think I liked the sound of that.�
Claron hears a click, �Now you went and did it��
Vin_Da_DM: As it clicks the middle of the room�s flooring falls into a large pit of spikes. Several spinning blades slide from hidden slits in the walls.
Clarissa looks around the room as she hears the click.
Kat|e: �Oh, fabulous.�
Tabris: �Oops�� Tabris rubs his head as he steps off the floor panel, �Totally not my fault!�
^Lilly^ gasping as the floor collapses, �Umm, yeah that�s bad.�
Clarice: �I don�t like the looks of that,� looking at the hole in the floor.
Vin_Da_DM: Black Inferno chuckles heartily, �A silly pit of spikes and some blades...the traps will have to get harder to stop me!� Inferno ignites himself and morphs into a stream of flame that shoots across the large gap and reforms on the other side of the room.
Luna_Faline stands next to Eclipse, �Great, now what?�
Claron: �You don�t suppose there are more traps in this room?�
^Shinta: �Well, this may be a problem.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder moves over to the edge and looks down, then at the walls. �That looks like it�d hurt...too far to jump and using the walls is obviously not gonna happen.�
Clarice shrugs her shoulders then creates an ice walkway across the pit.
^Lilly^ looking at the floor as she examines the floor, �I wouldn�t doubt that��
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks around, �I�m not sure��
Vin_Da_DM: Clarice�s ice walk gently creates itself across the pit but doesn�t look as if it will last very long.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech watches in amazement then glances at Eclipse, �You did not tell me your friends were magicians!�
^Shinta: �Well. that�s a start.�
Clarice: �Don�t know if it will last,� as she sees water dripping off the walkway, �Better hurry,� as she concentrates on refreezing it.
Vin_Da_DM: �I suggesting hurrying across, it doesn�t appear to be that stable.� The Guardian adds as he steps across the walkway.
Luna_Faline whispurrs to Eclipse, �Can you shadow walk here? See what�s going on elsewhere?�
Clarissa grabs her Mom and Dad and zips them over quickly.
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno watches the others as they cross, �Not bad...not bad.�
Kat|e concentrates and �pulls� the spikes and blades out, forming secondary bridge under the ice walk.
^Lilly^ watches the others move across.
Vin_Da_DM: The spikes and blades don�t bend to Katie�s powers as she notices they are not made from metal.
^Shinta crosses across the bridge.
Clarissa then zips at lightening speed back to grab her Aunt and race her over.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shimmers across the gap with a nod, �Shame it isn�t that simple for the rest.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Afraid I can�t, Luna...physical bodies aren�t made for that.� Eclipse says as he moves over to the icy walkway.
Kat|e sprints lightly across, praying it holds.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech trods his way across, keeping his tail from swaying as to not lose it.
Luna_Faline lowers my gaze as I follow him over the ice bridge, �I didn�t know that, I�m sorry.�
Vin_Da_DM: �It�s okay...transporting others is one thing, but if I shadow walked I�d kill this body and have to find a new one when I came out,� Eclipse replies.
Luna_Faline swallows a lump, �I understand, I know you don�t want to have to take another body.�
Vin_Da_DM: As Eclipse clears the walkway it cracks and falls into the spike pit after everyone is across. The next stairwell leads down and is marked by fewer torches then before.
^Lilly^: Making my way down the stairs watching my step.
Luna_Faline jumps off the bridge as it crumbles away, grabbing onto Eclipse as I land next to him.
Claron whispers softly, �Guess we need to be careful how we move into the next area.�
Vin_Da_DM: �A single misstep, crash, boom. And a broken little girl would find herself down the stairs with haste,� Inferno mockingly says to Lilly as they head down.
Tabris: �Obviously...if I could avoid walking I would,� Tabris says to Claron.
^Lilly^: Not moving my head I growl, �You really should watch what you say.�
Claron starts down the staircase behind Tabris, �Think all are wishing that��
Stryder and Clarissa fall in behind their parents, �Come on, Auntie.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Or what? You�ll annoy me some more? How dreadful!� Inferno chuckles as the next set of stairs ends in a triangular shaped room with several hallways branching out from each side. The ceiling is also twice as high, giving some illumination from the braziers in the center.
Vin_Da_DM: ~I wonder how Tewyn is doing...~ Stryder looks at Clarissa with concern.
Clarice follows her niece and nephew as her thoughts turn to Tewyn, �Please be all right�� she mutters in a barely audible whisper.
^Shinta glances around the stairway and the room, �So which way?�
Kat|e follows down the stairs, her gaze taking in the forked hallway.
^Lilly^ shaking her head, �Actually, nah, you would enjoy that too much.�
Clarissa turns her head to face Stryder, ~He�s a tough one, that Tewyn...I am sure he is trying to hold his own against those two.~ Clarissa flinches, her eyes close as she shakes her head.
Vin_Da_DM: �All these corridors...to explore them all would take too long,� Eclipse says as he looks around.
Luna_Faline sniffs the air in the room trying to catch a scent trail.
Vin_Da_DM: The scent trail leads Luna to every hallway oddly enough.
^Lilly^ moves further into the room.
Tabris watches each step he takes on the floor carefully, �Nothing bad happening yet, I hope?�
^Shinta: �So how do we decide then?�
Luna_Faline huffs, �I can�t even get a good trail, the same smell comes from them all.�
Claron follows closely behind Tabris, �Haven�t heard a click so far��
Vin_Da_DM: The Guardian looks around scanning with his �eye�, �It appears we may have to pick one and find out.�
Tabris: �I�m not going to be the first one to walk down one of these hallways. It�s liable to explode with my luck,� Tabris says.
Clarissa closes her eyes to listen for any sounds, ~I know you are here somewhere, Bronze.~
^Lilly^ tries to stifle a laugh at Tabris� comment.
Vin_Da_DM: Clarissa gets an odd sort of mental static as she tries to listen, save Stryder�s thoughts drifting to her.
Luna_Faline sniffs again to see if it is a stronger scent from any one place.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech stands near the brazier and watches everyone, �Perhaps it is another puzzle?�
Clarice watches the others, �I suppose eeny-meeny-miney-moe is out of the question.�
^Lilly^ moving her hands gently against the wall, barely touching it.
Luna_Faline: �What kind of puzzle now?�
Vin_Da_DM: �We don�t have time to caress the walls and playing guessing games!� Inferno grabs Lilly and tosses her into one of the hallways.
Vin_Da_DM: Oddly enough Lilly disappears as she�s thrown in only to exit from a hallway on the opposite side of the room.
^Lilly^ stumbling as I�m pushed, �Well, excuse me, but I�ve learned to check and examine things before stumbling in. You realize impatience causes trouble.�
Vin_Da_DM: The two hallways close and two different ones open in the walls.
Clarissa: �You can cross these two doors out pointing fingers at both of them.�
^Shinta: �But add two more.�
Vin_Da_DM: �So going through them closes them and opens new ones�� Eclipse raises a brow along with several spines as he thinks
Vin_Da_DM: �Perhaps it is a process of elimination. That would explain why the scent trail is coming from all of them.� Guardian adds in.
^Lilly^: Getting up I look around, �What the hell was that?�
Luna_Faline: �But no way of knowing if they all return to here.�
Clarissa nods her head.... �Decisions, decisions, decisions.��
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, that was useless�� Black Inferno ignites his hand, �I have a way to test that theory.�
Clarissa gets a smirk on her face.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks at Inferno, ~He�s going to do what I think he is, isn�t he?~
Luna_Faline sees the flames and moves away from the open doors
Clarissa nods her head, ~I think he is going to do precisely what you think.~
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno shoots a fireball into one of the nearby hallways and watches as it disappears and reappears from another, narrowly missing Shinta and Katie.
^Shinta: �I swear I�m gonna kill you yet!�
^Lilly^ looking at the others, �Damn...how did I get back,� turning to look behind me.
Vin_Da_DM: �Haha, that�s the spirit. I can always throw the girl in them instead,� Inferno smirks as he looks at Lilly.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech shakes his head as he watches.
Clarice watches the fireball miss Katie and Shinta, �Well, I�ll be damn�� as she ducks down and lays flat on the floor.
^Lilly^ turning and glaring, �You did that once...you don�t think that was enough?�
Kat|e jumps, �Dammit. Watch where yer puttin� yer blazing balls, ye big furnace.�
Vin_Da_DM: The two hallways involved in the fireball close and only one new one opens.
Clarissa smiles and tries not to laugh.
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, that�s some progress,� Inferno nods.
Luna_Faline: �Well, there ya go.�
^Lilly^:� Besides, I�m not your little play toy. No matter what you may think.�
Claron: �Only one door opened...that must be the way.�
^Lilly^ turning to the opening hallway, moving towards it.
Vin_Da_DM: �What was that, little girl? I didn�t hear you loud enough,� Black Inferno pushes Lilly into the hallway, only to smirk as she falls on her butt out of another.
^Lilly^ glaring and letting out a growl as I get up.
Vin_Da_DM: This time two different hallways close and one opens again. Leaving the room with less hallways again.
Vin_Da_DM: �Bothersome...we don�t have time to have you test them all out for us, girl.� Inferno sheaths his sword and ignites both hands this time, �Mind your upper bodies this time,�
^Lilly^ glaring, �You watch it��
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at Luna and then crouches down.
^Shinta ducks down.
Clarice remains on the floor as she watches Tabris and Claron stoop down low.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder ducks down and looks at Clarissa. ~This guy is nuts...~
Luna_Faline sits down next to Eclipse and waits for the door experiments to be over.
^Lilly^ moving downwards, my eyes on Inferno, �Its not my fault you get an enjoyment out of testing the traps with me.�
Clarissa ducks down next to Stryder. ~You got that right.~
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno launches fireballs at every hallway this time, laughing as they fly around the room hitting the walls and some absorbing into him as they hit him.
Kat|e crouches.
Vin_Da_DM: All numerous hallways close and open, and close again the room is left with two possibilities besides the stairs up.
^Lilly^ watches all the entrances open and close as the fireballs fly, landing on the two remaining possibilities.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech gets to his feet and looks at the two remaining ones, �A bit hot but we�ll have a much easier time choosing now.�
Clarice looks up and sees two doors left.
Vin_Da_DM: Smoking Black Inferno looks at the group, �Get up,�
^Lilly^: Shaking my head as I get to my feet.
Kat|e rises to her feet, frowning.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse sighs, �Not exactly how I would have done it...but it works.�
Clarissa gets up, ~They ain�t stupid.~
^Shinta stands up grumbling.
Luna_Faline rises slowly, �So have you determined which way to go?� I ask with a raised brow.
Vin_Da_DM: �That one,� Inferno points to the one to his right as he turns to it.
^Lilly^: Rolling my eyes, following close behind.
Clarice stands up, �Maybe I should have thrown gigantic ice spikes rapidly and repeatedly thru the doors, might would have cooled you off some,� looking at Black Inferno.
^Lilly^: Giggling at Clarice.
Tabris lends a hand to Claron as they stand up together.
Vin_Da_DM: �Your little snow blowing powers wouldn�t have worked,� Black Inferno says before he disappears into the hallway he designated.
Clarissa leans over offering a hand to Stryder.
^Lilly^ appearing soon after, �And how exactly do you know that, Mr. Hot Stuff?�
Kat|e grunts and follows Inferno into the hall.
Luna_Faline watches him disappear then looks at Eclipse, �I suppose we have to follow him?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Unfortunately,� Eclipse shrugs as he watches Skellech disappear into the hallway.
Clarice tries to mimic Black Inferno, �It would have given me great pleasure to try though.�
^Shinta follows the others, �I just hope we are almost through this.�
Claron and Tabris follow behind Kat|e.
Stryder still holding his sister�s hand moves out behind their parents.
Vin_Da_DM: This hallway deposits everyone in a large rocky cavern. Large statues line either side and are carved from the rock. The cavern is filled with water save for large rocky stepping stones and the bank you�re standing on.
Clarice follows the others. �Going to find a way to douse his flame,� she grumbles.
Tabris glances at the water and statues then at the floor, �No hallways...pressure plated floors, spikes or whirling blades of doom.�
^Lilly^ looking around at the new room, �Hmm, now what?�
Claron turns to Tabris as she sees the rocky stepping stones, �Might be a good idea to make sure they are REAL rocks.�
Luna_Faline steps thru the hallway with Eclipse and looks around at the statues lining the walls.
Clarissa looks around at the statues.
Clarice hearing Claron fires an ice spear at one of the rocks.
Vin_Da_DM: The statues resembled a well dressed woman holding her hands in front of her holding something but whatever she was holding has long since eroded away.
Vin_Da_DM: The spear bounces off the rock and sinks into the water disappearing just a few inches under the surface.
Clarissa wonders what this woman was holding.
^Lilly^ looking at one of the statues, �Hmm, wonder if that�s who he�s trying to revive��
Clarice: �Hmm, is odd that it bounced off and didn�t shatter...don�t you think?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Yes�� Eclipse picks up a rock and tosses it out at one of the rocks. It bounces off as well.
^Lilly^ glancing at the rocks. �Hmm, rubber?�
Vin_Da_DM: �It doesn�t appear to be rubber,� Guardian adds in as he studies them.
Clarissa looks closely at all the statues, �Can�t make out what she is holding...no matter how hard I try.�
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno growls and shoots a fireball at one of the rocks. His fireball also bounces off and fizzles into the water.
Vin_Da_DM: �It�s something...but these statues are old,� Stryder says as he watches Clarissa look.
Kat|e: �Weird, to say the least,� she sighs.
Luna_Faline: �Don�t be surprised if that comes up and eats you for lunch,� I growl.
^Lilly^: �I�ve come to expect that extremely often.�
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech walks toward the edge of the bank and jumps to the first rock. Landing on it he taps his foot on it, �Hmm...slick surface but it looks like it�ll hold.�
^Lilly^: �I don�t think I like that idea...I�d rather find another way.�
Vin_Da_DM: �You could swim across, but if you expect the rocks to eat you then�their mouths would be down there,� Inferno points into the murky water.
Clarissa smirks as she dashes quickly grabbing, ^Lilly^ and maneuvers them across the rocks.
Clarissa: ~You could shimmer them across, Brother.~
^Lilly^ glaring at Clarissa, �I really hope you don�t expect me to thank you...unless you take in the effect of preventing Inferno from using me as a �toy� again...
Vin_Da_DM: Halfway across the water one of the stones sinks into the water, causing Clarissa and Lilly to crash into the water.
Claron reacts and lightens the gravity of the two and floating them over to the other side.
^Lilly^: Falling in and resurfacing. Sputtering as I try and maneuver my way out of the water.
Vin_Da_DM: Watching the splash Inferno chuckles.
Vin_Da_DM: �Guess I�m taking the express across.� Stryder grabs Claron and Tabris by the hands and shimmers them across the water.
^Lilly^: Glaring at Inferno from the other side, �Like to see you predict that��
Vin_Da_DM: �Just wait,� Inferno says as he does his fire stream across the water again.
^Lilly^ turning away, �Whatever.�
Vin_Da_DM: Depositing his parents Stryder returns to the other bank and looks at Luna and Eclipse, �Ready?�
Clarissa watches her brother then turns to look at Black Inferno, �Not afraid of a little water are you?�
Vin_Da_DM: The Guardian vaults his way across the stones as Skellech hops across them and swims the gap to get to the other side.
^Lilly^ giggling at Clarissa, �You know�I could learn to like you.� Moving away from the water examining their side while the others worked their way across.
Luna_Faline holds a paw out and looks at Eclipse, �This will be another first for me I think.�
Vin_Da_DM: �It doesn�t hurt...might feel tingly though,� Stryder says to Luna as he shimmers her and Eclipse across.
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno dips his hand in the water and takes a drink of it, �Refreshing.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder leaves Luna and Eclipse and returns finally for Katie and Shinta, �You two ready?�
Clarissa watches and waits to see steam come from Black Inferno�s ears.
Kat|e takes a breath, and nods.
^Shinta: �Guess so.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shimmers them across then takes several heavy breaths, �Phew...all done.�
Luna_Faline leans against Eclipse for a moment, �That was very strange, kinda tickled.�
Kat|e: �Thank ye, laddie.� She gives him a warm smile.
Clarissa: �Don�t think that lil bit of water you drank with squelch your heartburn.�
^Lilly^ turning back to Clarissa, �I doubt it.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Yea...I sort of did,� Eclipse watches Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: Skellech moves to the rocky tunnel that exits this room, �We should be moving along young ones.�
^Lilly^ following Skellech, �Yeah, possibly.�
Vin_Da_DM: The rocky tunnel is lit by torches stuck in alcoves along the wall
Vin_Da_DM: Inferno shakes his head and heads towards the tunnel following Skellech and Lilly.
Clarice: �Yes, lets move on, I am anxious to get back to Tewyn.�
^Lilly moving slightly ahead of Skellech. �God, where is this loser?�
Vin_Da_DM: �I�m afraid I don�t know, young one�� Skellech says as he continues ahead, his tail swaying lightly as he goes.
Vin_Da_DM: Tabris and Stryder both head off following the others.
Luna_Faline moving down the tunnel after the others, �I wonder how far down we are?�
Kat|e trudges after the others, �I dunno but I�m beginning to feel like a mole.�
Vin_Da_DM: �By estimation of the rock formations and erosion...I would guess almost half a kilometer,� the Guardian says as he ducks slightly following Luna and Eclipse.
Claron moves along beside Clarissa. Clarissa smiles as she sees Clarice join them.
^Lilly^ nodding, �So we are close then?�
Luna_Faline: �I hope so.�
^Lilly^ nodding, �Yeah me, too...I don�t know how much more I can handle of hot head back there.�
Vin_Da_DM: As you continue through the rocky tunnel the sides begin to slowly turn into carved walls and flooring. The faint sound of chanting can be heard ahead.
Clarissa stops for a moment, �You hear that?�
^Lilly^ nods, �I don�t know if I like that��
Kat|e listens.
^Lilly^: �Correct that,� moving closer, �I know I don�t like the sound of that.�
Luna_Faline listens to the chanting, trying to make out if there is more than one person doing it.
Vin_Da_DM: �Not any language I�ve heard before...might be a spell.� Eclipse comments.
Claron: �Resurrection of the dead?�
^Lilly^: �That would be my guess.�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna notices that there are indeed two different voices doing the chanting, but cannot tell anymore than that.
^Lilly^ glancing at Luna. �Something wrong?�
Luna_Faline: �There is more than one person chanting.�
Clarissa: �There are two voices��
Clarissa: �... least two sound different.�
Vin_Da_DM: As you enter the massive tomb chamber you notice another statue similar to those in the cavern, though this one is much larger and completed in color. The woman is holding a very familiar looking orb.
Vin_Da_DM: The chanting stops as Bronze looks over his shoulder with a grin from his spot at the statue�s feet, �How nice to see you all again. And Inferno, still as loyal as ever to your false god? No time for interruptions I�m afraid�kill them, save the girl.�
Vin_Da_DM: In response to Bronze�s words you hear a low bass roar echo in the room as a large bony and scaled monster looks at you from it�s perch on the ceiling. With another ear-piercing roar it jumps off and begins to advance�
