Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: On their journey after RD�s fleet the Ettik and crew ran across one of RD�s battleships being attacked by a group of small fighters. The battle ended up causing the battleship�s engines to overload creating a wormhole.
Vin_Da_DM: The wormhole pulled the Ettik inside along with the ships debris and one of the small fighters. Left drifting on the other side Alexei and the Guardian started repairing the ship. Meanwhile one of the alien pilots managed to sneak onboard the Ettik in search of medical supplies.
Vin_Da_DM: This alien was discovered by Tabris and Claron and with some insight from Alexei, they learned his name was Chavande and that he a Yautja (Predator) who�s clan brother was taken by RD before the earlier battle and he was searching for him.
Vin_Da_DM: Elsewhere, Clarissa was welcomed home by Shaiya and told that Stryder was being uncooperative. Locating Stryder�s cell she was allowed inside and after a conversation with a bitter brother she managed to convince him she had a plan.
Vin_Da_DM: Unfortunately the guards came in and took Stryder down to the torture chamber with Clarissa following in secret. Once there she noticed her brother and another creature in the cells. Entering the prison area Clarissa was confronted by a large demon.
Vin_Da_DM: �So have you come to observe how we teach these prisoners proper respect for Lady Shaiya, girl? Or perhaps you think to escape with them instead?� With a wide grin he chuckles in a deep echoing voice as he steps towards Clarissa slowly�
Vin_Da_DM: *Time passed onboard the Ettik: A few hours / Time passed for Clarissa: None*
Vin_Da_DM: $ Start
Kat|e opens her eyes and stares at the ceiling fuzzily.
Vin_Da_DM: Katie feels as if a freight train ran into her head, repeatedly.
Kat|e: �Gawd, what the hell was I thinking? At least I woke up with my clothes on.�
Clarissa stands looking at the large demon. �Actually, Momma Shaiya has requested your presence��
Vin_Da_DM: Rolling to his side Eclipse brushes his hand along Luna�s cheek, �Now, that was something I haven�t had in quite a while, and it was better.�
Luna_Faline rolls with Eclipse and cuddles up with my head on his chest, �Better?� I purr loudly.
Vin_Da_DM: �Has she now?� The demon pauses for a moment watching Clarissa.
Clarice sits propped up in her bed wishing she could figure out what to do.
Vin_Da_DM: �Quite,� Eclipse smiles and kisses Luna lightly, �Perhaps I�ll keep this body after all.�
Clarissa nods her head back at the demon, glances over at Stryder, then looks at the alien caged nearby.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks at Clarissa carefully while the alien opposite him curiously watches the exchange, quietly fidgeting with his chains.
Luna_Faline rubs my paw over his chest, �Do you have a choice about that?� Leaning to look at him.
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, in that case�� The demon turns then quickly grabs a whip from nearby and swings it just missing Clarissa�s head, �I�ll have to punish you as well.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Not at the moment, but given enough time there is a possibility I could use the Shadow Realm to change back,� Eclipse leans his head back and watches the ceiling, �But I am unsure how long that would take.�
Clarissa: �I wouldn�t keep her waiting, she�s not in the best mood at the moment,� as she stands steadfast and defiantly.
Vin_Da_DM: Smirking the demon approaches Clarissa, his grip tightening on the whip as it begins to glow red-hot, �Lady Shaiya would not send you as messenger. Enough of your lies, little girl.� He backhands Clarissa to the floor.
Tabris: Standing in front of the window in their quarters Tabris sighs, �They�re out there, Claron...I just hope we can get them back safely again.�
Clarissa feels herself sliding back across the floor and into the cell containing the alien.
Kat|e rolls out of bed and heads to the galley, looking for something (nonalcoholic) to drink.
Claron sits on their bed watching Tabris, �We will...somehow��
Vin_Da_DM: �Clarissa!� Stryder shouts from his cell, a loud crack sounds as the whip strikes the front of his cell leaving a cloud of steam in the air.
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande watches Katie closely as she enters the galley from his spot at a table, he �speaks� a few clicks that don�t translate.
Luna_Faline�s tail comes around to rest on Eclipse�s leg, �Do you miss your tail? And the fur?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Considering I never really had either, not really.� Lifting up his arm Eclipse looks at his hand, �Having a humanoid shell is different��
Kat|e nods toward the alien, grabs some cracker-like things, and some water, sitting and staring at the table pensively.
Vin_Da_DM: The alien helps Clarissa to her feet through the bars then motions towards a key ring on the demon�s waist.
Vin_Da_DM: �Silence, prisoner�� the demon turns and grins at Clarissa as he readies to strike at her with the burning-hot whip.
Clarice slides over to the edge of the bed sits looking down at the floor for a moment, stands and walks quietly out of the room towards the galley.
Clarissa watches the demon carefully as she spots the key ring.
Luna_Faline: �Shell?� Purring, I rest my head on his chest again and listen to his heart beat, �I never thought of it like a shell.�
Vin_Da_DM: Getting up from his place Chavande walks over to Katie�s table, his translator gruff, but understandable, �Strong Hunter...but different from other Gul-Qian. Where does the Hunter�s clan live?�
Kat|e grimaces. �I�I don�t know. The only family I have left has been missing for more years than I can remember,� she says quietly.
Vin_Da_DM: �I did not mean to insult...my other body was simply less...solid than this one.� Eclipse looks at Luna and rubs her shoulder.
Luna_Faline kisses his lips softly, �I�m not insulted.�
Vin_Da_DM: �So the Hunter also missing her clan brothers,� Chavande nods at her, �Keep searching and the Hunter will find her clan in time.�
Clarice enters the galley and goes right to the replicator punching the appropriate button for a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
Kat|e looks up. �How I wish that to be.�
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande turns his head as he notices Clarice enter the galley.
Clarissa eyes the burning hot whip.
Vin_Da_DM: Midnight quietly crawls out from under a table in the galley and over to Clarice at the replicator. Pushing his bowl with his nose he barks at her.
Vin_Da_DM: Chuckling the demon swings twice at Clarissa, the first hit striking the stone at her feet causing it to ignite in a small flame and the second flying toward her chest.
Clarice takes her coffee, then notices the strange looking creature near Kat|e as she moves over to the table to take a seat.
Kat|e gives Clarice a small friendly smile.
Midnight �huffs� as only a dog could then gets on his hind legs and barks at the replicator which deposits a bowl of food on the floor after a few moments.
Clarissa dodges quickly. Then in lightning fast speed, clips the side of the demon�s waistband snatching the key ring as she darts around the other side of the demon.
Vin_Da_DM: Giving a glance to Clarice, Chavande studies Midnight for a second before looking back at Katie, �Gul-Qian has started tracking the prey. They are near.�
Clarice smiles softly and places her mug on the table, �Need fed, do you?� Reaches down picking up the empty bowl, �Liquid or solid,� she chuckles, having not paid any attention to Midnight�s barking out his own bowl of food from the replicator.
Luna_Faline snuggles down again, �I wish we could stay here like this,� sighing.
Vin_Da_DM: �If it only it were that easy,� Eclipse sighs then fishes around for his clothing and armor with his arm over the side of the bed.
Clarice hits buttons on the replicator at random over filling the bowl, �Hope this is good enough.� Takes her seat at the table finally.
Vin_Da_DM: Both Stryder and the alien watch Clarissa as she grabs the keys.
Vin_Da_DM: Turning the demon eyes her, then swings his whip at her from the side and using his other hand to knock her into it�s arc.
Vin_Da_DM: Onboard the Ettik, Alexei comes over the com, �All right, we�ve followed the coordinates given by our guest. We�re just outside scanner range of the fleet, if you can come to bridge we can plan our next move.�
Clarissa feels herself being knocked in a different direction, then feels the searing, burning cut of the whip before she slides belly first towards Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande lifts his head listening to the com. Standing up he looks at Katie and Clarice, �Where is the command center?�
Luna_Faline rolls over in the bed and swings my legs over the side, �Damn, I need a shower after all that,� looking at Eclipse with a big grin.
Vin_Da_DM: �Damn...Clarissa, hang in there!� Stryder narrows his gaze at the demon, �Let me out of here you damn overgrown imp and I�ll show you a fight.�
Clarice: �Good to see you up and about, McKinnon. Friend of yours?� Eyes the alien.
Vin_Da_DM: �A shower, eh? Don�t think I�ve ever had one of those.� Eclipse smirks at Luna.
Kat|e shakes her head. �Stowaway. But I think it will be a good thing that he�s here.�
Clarice: �You mean�the bridge?�
Tabris turns away from the window and looks at Claron, �I�m going to the bridge.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Yes...bridge.� Chavande adjusts his gauntlets, one of which has two very large serrated blades attached to it.
Clarissa scrambles to her feet while trying to get the correct key ready for the lock on Stryder�s cell.
Claron smiles at Tabris, �I�m going with you.� Rises from the bed and heads to the door.
Vin_Da_DM: �Girl, behind you!� The alien shouts out as Clarissa feels a burning on her ankle before she is pulled back and thrown into a stack of barrels.
Luna_Faline looks at him for a minute as I head to the bathroom, �I think they can wait for us, we can make it a fast shower,� as I enter the bathroom..
Vin_Da_DM: Depends on how fast, I�d guess.� Eclipse follows Luna into the bathroom.
Clarice looks at Kat|e, �Just follow us.� Grabs her coffee and heads out of the galley to the bridge.
Vin_Da_DM: The alien in the cell manages to get the keys from where they land on the floor, looking through them quickly to find the right one.
Clarissa feels herself being hurled into the stack of barrels, cries out in pain as she crashes into them.
Luna_Faline turns on the water and waits for it to warm, sticking my paw under the water I flick water on him.
Vin_Da_DM: Quickly opening his cell the alien tosses the keys to Stryder before grabbing a metal pole from the nearby rack.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse chuckles as he sticks his hand under the water and flicks it back, �So, this is a shower?�
Clarissa pushes herself up just as the alien grabs the metal pole from the rack.
Luna_Faline steps into the shower and pulls Eclipse in with me, �No, this is a shower,� giggling.
Vin_Da_DM: In the bridge Alexei paces back and forth in front of his holographic HUD. Ahead on the view screen are the distant shadows of RD�s fleet orbiting a large purple gas-planet.
Vin_Da_DM: Eyeing the alien the demon moves towards him and swings his whip. It wraps around the metal pole burning it into two halves. The alien dodges to the side with the two halves and attacks.
Vin_Da_DM: Fumbling with the keys, Stryder manages to get his lock open and rush over to Clarissa, �Are you all right?�
Vin_Da_DM: Feeling the water rush down over him Eclipse blinks and looks at Luna, �It�s rather refreshing for being hot water.�
Kat|e heads for the bridge, watching to make sure Chavande is following.
Claron and Tabris enter the bridge together and instantly notice the fleet of ships, �Odds of us slipping in unnoticed isn�t so great looking�� Claron states.
Luna_Faline lathering the soap up and running it over my fur I smile, �It can be relaxing or reviving, depending on the tempurrature.�
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande follows Katie dutifully looking around as if taking mental notes on how to get to the bridge. On a few of his glances the small gun mounted on his shoulder pad swivels in tandem.
Vin_Da_DM: �Don�t worry about me. Leave while you can,� the alien shouts towards Clarissa and Stryder as he is busy fighting the demon.
Clarissa nods her head as she dusts herself off.
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande studies the ships ahead of them and the planet, �Distract the prey.�
Vin_Da_DM: �We�re lucky they can�t see us where we are,� Alexei comments to Claron, �But Ettik is definitely picking up bio-readings from that planet.�
Clarissa grabs Stryder�s hand, �Come on, we got to get out of here! Glancing at the alien, �Nail him good a couple times for me!� exclaims while feeling the sting of her wounds from the whip.
Vin_Da_DM: �I see,� Eclipse shakes under the water, the spines on his head flinging water all over the place.
Vin_Da_DM: �Up the stairs then!� Stryder says pointing to the set they came in from.
Luna_Faline laughs and ducks under the water to rinse off the soap.
Tabris: �Well...any ideas on how to distract them then, big guy?� Tabris eyes Chavande.
Kat|e enters the bridge and whistles softly, �Whoa.�
Clarissa dashes up the stairs.
Vin_Da_DM: The stairs curve up at the top of the dungeon, heading to the floors above.
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande nods then looks at Alexei for a moment motioning him aside. Alexei eyes him then steps back.
Vin_Da_DM: Opening his gauntlet Chavande begins to punch some commands on it, then glancing at Ettik�s HUD enters a series of commands as well.
Clarissa rounds the curve at the top of the dungeon before she slows up her pace.
Vin_Da_DM: Archways cut into the sides of the stairwell lead to the various floors and are visible up the long circular shaft for at least twenty floors.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks up and around the staircase, �I hope you remember the way out��
Luna_Faline turns off the shower and shakes slowly from head to tip of tail. Then reaches for a towel.
Vin_Da_DM: �So, you get yourself wet then dry with the cloth,� Sniffing for a moment Eclipse nods, �And it makes you smell better.�
Clarissa looks over at Stryder and then up the circular shaft, �We got to go up.�
Luna_Faline: �Yes it does,� with a grin I toss Eclipse a towel.
Vin_Da_DM: �All right...how far?� Stryder begins to climb the stairs as a massive growl is heard from the dungeon.
Clarissa: �Twenty floors at least��
Tabris: �Any idea what he�s doing?� Tabris looks at Claron, Clarice and Katie.
Kat|e shrugs and shakes her head. �Not a clue. But he looks like he knows.�
Claron watches Chavande then turns to Tabris, �I don�t, but he obviously does.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Then we should go in haste,� The alien voice speaks up as he climbs the stairs, coming into view he is quite blood-soaked and the two metal poles are now red instead of gray.
Clarissa�s eyes widen as the alien comes into sight. Nodding her head she starts climbing up the stairs, �Maybe we should bring Tewyn a surprise?� looking back at Stryder.
Luna_Faline reaches for the brush and fluffs up my mane then move back to my room searching for my boots.
Vin_Da_DM: Tossing the towel away Eclipse gathers the rest of his armor and clothing and slips it on quickly, �Interesting...we�ll have to take more of these �showers� together.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Hunters will rescue clan leader�� Chavande says as he finishes the code, �Distraction for the prey.� He points at a section of the view screen between them and RD�s fleet.
Claron looks at where Chavande points on the view screen.
Vin_Da_DM: Where Chavande points three large ships, equal in size to three of RD�s battleships, jump out of hyperspace and begins to unleash a massive attack against the fleet.
Claron looks at Kat|e, then back to Tabris. �Is he saying there are more of his people here at this very moment?�
Vin_Da_DM: �That will more than do�� Alexei takes the controls back and begins to fly towards the planet.
Tabris: �I think he�s saying the guy who�s missing is their leader...and I�m guessing that�s his army out there.� Tabris motions to the view screen as they near the battle zone.
Claron: �I thought he wanted help finding his brother.�
Vin_Da_DM: �What sort of surprise?� Stryder looks at Clarissa as they climb the stairs.
Clarissa eyes brighten, �His own flesh and blood.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Which parts?� Stryder�s gaze narrows.
Luna_Faline falls down on my knees and pulls them from under the bed, pulls them on and stands up to grab my cloak.
Vin_Da_DM: �Guards�� the alien following Clarissa and Stryder says before pointing up a few stories at the guards heading down the stairs.
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande nods to Claron, �Clan leader is brother to Chavande.�
Clarissa: �Their hearts sound good, but he wouldn�t believe its them if it was just their hearts.�
Vin_Da_DM: �This might get a little bumpy folks...hold on.� Alexei says as Ettik begins to dodge ship-to-ship fire.
Clarissa lowers her gaze for a moment, �I don�t mean dead, I mean alive.�
Luna_Faline stumbles and falls on the bed, �What is going on?� I growl as I reach for my sai and amulet.
Vin_Da_DM: �Then we�ll have to...be careful not to kill them!� Stryder says, pausing mid-speech to shimmer up the stairs and toss the guards over the railing letting them fall several stories into stone with a satisfying crunch.
Claron manipulates gravity within the bridge.
Clarissa races up the stairs after Stryder shimmers ahead.
Clarissa: �I didn�t say we had to treat �em like fine china.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I do not believe I caught your name girl...and your kin?� The alien says as he jogs up the stairs after them, �I am Durandal, leader of clan Cetanu.
Clarissa slows her pace up, �I am Clarissa, and my twin is Stryder.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stumbling a bit Eclipse offers Luna a hand, �I believe we�re avoiding getting blown up...again.� He points to the window as Ettik passes under the battle, large laser blasts flying past the window.
Vin_Da_DM: �Nice to meet you�� Stryder speaks as another set of guards appear from a lower floor, only to get speared by Durandal�s makeshift weapons.
Luna_Faline looks out the window, �I can see that,� as I take his hand.
Clarissa shrugs her shoulders, then tilts her head slightly, �Leader of your clan?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Large concentration of life signs on the southern-central region of the planet�s surface!� Alexei says as he reads the scanners, dodging more fire as they close in to the planet�s atmosphere.
Vin_Da_DM: �I am of the Yautja, trained hunters.� Durdandal comments as they continue up, �We are reaching twenty floors by my count.�
Clarissa nods her head then points to the door near the right.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder ducks through the doorway and looks around, �Alright...left or right now?�
Clarissa looks both ways, then mutters... �It�s...right...right...left.�
Vin_Da_DM: �To be safe I�ll have to set us down several miles from the...what in the hell?� Alexei pauses and looks up at the view screen to the massive fiery crater under the cloud layer. Several large creatures roaming across the fiery surface and appear to be building...something.
Claron turns quickly to look at the view screen.
Vin_Da_DM: �Giant weapon�� Chavande comments as they fly over it.
Claron watches and listens.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder nods and heads down the hallway taking a right then continuing down. Durandal follows behind Clarissa, giving short pause to kill several guards without a second thought.
Tabris: �Let�s not wait to find out what it does,� Tabris comments with a cautious glance at the weapon.
Kat|e: �Amen,� she says softly.
Vin_Da_DM: Ettik zips across the sky, settling down into a small valley, the distant sight of numerous black spires of Shaiya�s citadel disappearing behind the cliff walls.
Clarissa follows closely behind Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: �I couldn�t get us any closer, so this�ll have to do.� Alexei says as Ettik�s landing struts sink into the rocky valley floor.
Vin_Da_DM: �Right...then left. Right?� Stryder speaks out as he turns right then looks ahead for the left turn.
Clarissa: ~That�s correct.~
Luna_Faline looks at Eclipse, �Purrhaps, we should go see what is going on?� as we land
Clarissa chuckles softly to herself.
Vin_Da_DM: �Probably a good idea,� Eclipse nods to Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: The Guardian�s voice comes over Ettik�s com plainly, �If we are going to attempt this rescue we should hurry. Our being here will not go unnoticed forever.�
Claron: �He�s right...I am surprised we even were able to get this close��
Vin_Da_DM: �And left...uh-oh.� Stryder turns to the left then skids to the stop just on the other side of a doorway into the courtyard.
Luna_Faline leaves the room and heads to the bridge with Eclipse.
Clarissa stops quickly behind Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Alexei turns and exits the bridge, �I�ll get the transporter ready to get us to the surface.�
Vin_Da_DM: Entering the bridge with Luna Eclipse looks around, �So, we just flew through a battle and landed on this planet. I trust we�re on the right trail?�
Vin_Da_DM: Chavande grunts before following Alexei out of the bridge.
Claron nods her head then whispers, �Please, let the children be here...alive��
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead of Stryder and Clarissa is the legion of troops Clarissa saw from her window. Just in front of Stryder is a woman in shamanistic clothing.
Clarissa sees the woman... ~OOPS.~
Tabris: �I hope so, Claron�� Tabris looks at Luna and Eclipse, �I hope you�re ready for a walk.�
Luna_Faline watches Alexei walk past, �Well, I certainly hope it�s the right place, if we�re going into another fight.�
Vin_Da_DM: The woman turns around and smiles at Clarissa and Stryder, �Leaving so soon, Clarissa? You still have so much to do.�
Vin_Da_DM: �You�� Stryder glares at the woman, �I remember you.�
Clarissa whispers softly, �Sarasvati��
Vin_Da_DM: Durandal walks up behind the twins and looks at Sarasvati, hissing he jumps towards her.
Clarissa gasps as Durandal jumps at Sarasvati.
Vin_Da_DM: Lifting her hand Sarasvati stops him mid-air, smirking she lowers her hand. �Now, we can talk un-interrupted.�
Clarissa lowers her head then glances upwardly at Sarasvati.
Vin_Da_DM: Alexei�s voice comes up over Ettik�s com, �Everyone who�s going on this rescue report to the transporter room.�
Claron takes a deep breath as she hears Alexei, �On our way,� turning heads off the bridge.
Tabris follows Claron out, quietly hoping for the best.
Luna_Faline looks at the group and shrugs, �I could use a stretch,� as I follow Tabris.
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, don�t leave me behind,� Eclipse pipes up as he takes up the rear.
Luna_Faline reaches back to take his hand, �I wouldn�t dream of it,� purring softly.
Vin_Da_DM: �Now, Clarissa...I trust you are prepared?� Sarasvati lifts her palm up as a ghostly green skull appears in it, �Or shall your brother take your place?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Don�t do it, Sis!� Stryder looks at Clarissa then back at Sarasvati with a hatred in his eye, �You can�t trust her��
Vin_Da_DM: As everyone files into the transporter room Alexei teleports you to the surface, after the typical yellow flash you feel the cold wind blow across the valley floor.
Clarissa feels her heart beginning to race, �I�m always prepared, Sarasvati,� glances over at Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead a winding path heads through the valley in the direction of the citadel.
Claron shivers for a second then glances at the winding path.
Vin_Da_DM: �A dark planet...we will find no light in this place.� The Guardian says as he takes the lead of the group heading for the path, �Stay close and trust only what you know to be true.�
Claron slides her hand into Tabris� hand, �I don�t like the sound of that��
Luna_Faline purrumbles, �Trust only what I know to be true,� gripping Eclipse�s hand tightly.
Vin_Da_DM: �At your side, I�m ready for anything.� Eclipse says to Luna as they go.
Luna_Faline: �The shield for my sword,� I whispurr.
Vin_Da_DM: Sarasvati nods to Clarissa and turns waving her staff around in a small circle. As a swirling vortex opens time seems to freeze, save Clarissa and Sarasvati. �As it has been done, so shall it happen.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Come, Clarissa. It is time for you to tutor the young destroyers for the war to come.� Sarasvati motions Clarissa to the vortex with a sly and evil grin playing across her lips.
Clarissa watches quietly as time around her seems to stop...
Vin_Da_DM: �Take caution for any deceit played forth will result in your brother�s removal from existence�� Sarasvati nods, �Now, go and complete one circle to begin the next.�
