Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: Arriving at Aventine, the Warriors noticed a dark cloud blotting out the sky marking the advance of the Dark Army. Once inside the city, the Warriors and company were led to a temporary headquarters for the Council members planning the city�s defense.
Vin_Da_DM: With Aventine�s mages defending the city with a magical shield, several of the regiments of Selenia�s Army along with allied troops planned to attack the Dark Army preemptively. Luna, however, had a different idea.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna suggested that the Warriors assault the leaders of the Dark Army, composed of the Knights along with Daegriss� generals. Using his powers to locate them in the corrupt darkness, Eclipse came into contact with his sister Xamaen.
Vin_Da_DM: Exchanging words it was revealed that both Eclipse and Xamaen are Daegriss� Avatar, with Eclipse having been replaced after his turning to the light side. While in the Shadow Realm, Eclipse also demonstrated an increased control over his abilities since being weakened by near-death.
Vin_Da_DM: *Time passed: Around half an hour*
Vin_Da_DM: After what seemed like an eternity Eclipse climbs out of his shadow, a stern and serious look on his face. Glancing across the square at Luna he approaches her, �I know where they are...but there�s a problem. They have captured Shinta and Tewyn.�
Vin_Da_DM: $ Start
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder stretches looking around the plaza, something in thought preoccupying him, shown by the expression on his face.
Luna_Faline growls, �That could work to our advantage. They can take care of themselves. And may be able to work from the inside.� Begins to pace and think. �But Tewyn is vulnerable to turn dark just as easily. So that could be bad, too.�
Kyra sits cross legged on the steps, staring blankly at nothing.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse nods, a brighter blaze in his eyes than before, �It will not be easy...Xamaen is powerful.�
Luna_Faline stops and faces Eclipse. �Either way, I�m not concerned with a rescue effort. My goal is and will always be to defeat Daegriss and defend Aventine.�
Claron stands next to Obsidian with arm laying across his haunches, her head resting against him and scratching him on the underside of his neck with the other hand.
Shadow walks out of the diner and next to his ram, he quietly says, �All is going according to the timeline. Perfect.�
Vin_Da_DM: Obsidian looks at Claron, then eyes Tabris as he approaches. Tabris raises a brow.
Katie wakes up from her doze, smiling, stretching and nearly clobbering Syne who is laying next to where she sits, his head on his paws. Hearing Luna, she pales. �Rescuing who?�
DracBlue looks at Kabal and thinks to himself, �Who is this person that Cara is so close to?�
Luna_Faline focuses on Eclipse�s eyes, �Are you up to this? I know it�s going to be a hard fight.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne looks over at Katie, a look of curiosity on his face, �Whoa, watch those hands, Kat.�
Luna_Faline glances over at Katie, �I�m not rescuing anyone, but Shinta and Tewyn have been captured by the enemy.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I will do what must be done,� Eclipse looks at Luna, his expression determined.
Clarice sits back in the corner on the floor with her arms wrapped around her knees. Her head jerks up as she hears Tewyn�s name, �W-what? What happened?� realizing she must have dozed off.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne tilts his head while perking his ears, �Captured?�
Valrash smiles, �Now I know not to get captured, no rescues will ensue.�
Katie jumps to her feet. �Nooooo,� she moans.
Luna_Faline nods at Syne, then tells Katie, �He can take care of himself. And remember, he�s not alone. You need to focus on the here and now.
Clarice scrambles to her feet and races to the door, �Then we can�t waste any time. We have to go get them!�
Vin_Da_DM: Shaking it off, Stryder glances to the dark sky for a second. Turning back towards Kyra he walks towards her, �A lot on your mind.�
Katie fingers her bracelet, �It begins.� Tears well and the insidious voice in her head hisses, �Ah, yes. Black Widow McKinnon strikes again. She mates. She kills. It is in her nature.�
Valrash looks over at Katie and shakes his head.
Vin_Da_DM: �If we are going to do this, we must go quickly...Xamaen has no doubt told them we are here in the city.� Eclipse says, glancing over at Katie, Clarice and Syne.
Luna_Faline growls at Katie and grabs her arm with the bracelet on it, �Stop that. This has absolutely nothing to do with you and him. This is war.�
Cara looks at Kabal and squeezes his hand. �Oh, no! This is not good! How long do you think Daegriss will let them live?�
Katie jerks her arm away.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne shifts to human form, looking at Katie and Luna.
Luna_Faline pulls the bracelet off as Katie jerks away. �This is not a choke collar to chain you down. It�s a trinket, a token of affection from a wayward soul. You give it too much meaning.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal shakes his head, �That depends on how valuable he thinks they will be.�
Kyra looks up at Stryder�s approach, �Too much.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Join the club,� Stryder sighs, then looks over towards the others near the cafe.
Katie gasps and looks at the pieces dangling from Luna�s claw. �How�could you?� she whispers.
Luna_Faline puts the bracelet in her pocket. �You may get it back some day. But right now it�s too much of a distraction. I need your attention on the mission at hand.�
Clarice quickly moves towards Katie just as her bracelet comes off. Her eyes widen, �Oh, Katie...it might be able to be fixed.�
Cara nods her head, �I was afraid that was going to be your answer.�
Kyra nods and sighs.
Tabris: �Claron?� Tabris questions softly watching her pet Obsidian.
Claron raises her head as she hears Tabris, �Yes?�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne sighs, �So, what is the mission at hand anyway?�
Katie shrugs and looks at her feet.
Tabris: �I think we�re getting ready to move out,� Tabris motions over towards the group gathered near the cafe.
Valrash sighs, �I just hope we�re ready.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eyeing Drac, Kabal looks at Cara, �I trust your self-proclaimed bodyguard can handle himself in a fight?�
Luna_Faline places her paws on either side of Katie�s head and pulls her face up to look her in the eye, �Stop pouting, it doesn�t become you. Focus on what is going on right this moment in your life. We have to go kill some bad guys.�
Claron steps back away from Obsidian. �I�m as ready as I am ever going to be. What�s the plan?� while thinking to herself, �That�s what you get for not controlling your emotions.�
Arwyn stands next to Sabir silently saying a prayer.
Katie�s eyes blaze, but she bites back her retort, nodding curtly.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir rests his hands over Arwyn�s clasped fingers in silent comfort.
Tabris: �Not sure, looks like Luna�s taking charge this time.� Tabris says to Claron.
Luna_Faline watches the emotions cross Katie�s face. �Go ahead, say it. You can�t keep holding things in, they have a tendency to rot and corrupt.�
Cara smiles at Kabal, �That�s debatable.�
DracBlue glares at Cara for her confidence in him.
Vin_Da_DM: Taking sword in hand Eclipse looks it over with a nod, ~You�re about to get your battle.~
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal nods. then looks at Cara. ~We cannot let Father remain prisoner for long, we should rescue him.~
Claron slowly nods her head, �I see�� Finally looking Tabris in his eyes, �I�m s-sorry...for....everything.�
Katie gives Luna a cold smile. �What I have to say is not fit to be heard, if you�ll excuse me.� She walks away, going over to check on Claron. �How you holding up, honey?� She says softly, reaching out to tuck a stray curl behind Claron�s ear.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne watches as Katie walks off to speak with Claron. Sighing softly he looks back at Luna.
Tabris looks to Katie, then back to Claron.
Katie: �How many more have to die, Katerina?� the voice whispers silkily. Katie winces.
Claron turns her head to look at Katie, �How do you think I am holding up?�
Luna_Faline shakes her head at Katie�s comment. �Well, I had to try. But without that bracelet as a constant reminder of the past, maybe there will be a chance for her future.�
Vin_Da_DM: �You think you�re ready for this?� Stryder studies Kyra with a glance.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse gazes at Luna, �If we�re going to attack them, everyone will need to be ready. I do not wish to bring anyone along who is not prepared for what we will face.�
Katie recoils as Claron snaps at her. �I see.� She backs up a few steps, pivoting quickly and walking over to sit on the edge of the fountain.
Luna_Faline looks at Syne for a moment, then turns back to Eclipse, �I agree, but how do we know if they are ready? We are going to be running straight into the mouth of Hell, after all.�
Kyra gives a shallow nod. �It will take every last one of us if we are going to prevail.�
Tabris gives Claron a look, then walks over to Katie, looking down at her he nods, �She�s holding up pretty well, considering.�
Katie smiles gratefully at Tabris. �I�m glad. Stay near to her, no matter how gruff she gets. She needs you more than she realizes.�
Claron regrets saying it just as soon as the words come out of her mouth. �Kat�� Races over to the fountain and places a hand on Katie�s arm, �I seem to be saying I�m sorry a lot lately. You didn�t deserve that. I feel like hell. Forgive me?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder extends a hand to Kyra to help her to her feet.
Kyra rises, shooting Stryder a smile filled with love and gratitude.
Katie looks serenely at her best friend. �Nothing to forgive, love. I intruded, and I�m the one who should apologize.�
Vin_Da_DM: �They�ll be ready,� Eclipse looks across the plaza at everybody in the group.
Claron shakes her head, �No, Kat. You weren�t intruding. I need you, too.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I�m as ready as I always am,� Syne says to Eclipse and Luna, looking across the plaza to Katie.
Vin_Da_DM: �Incoming!� A loud shout comes from the wall as a large gray fireball sails through the air and impacts against the city�s invisible shield, a bright flash of white rippling out from the impact point.
Katie clasps Claron�s hand for a moment. �We�re okay, you and I.�
Luna_Faline jumps from the sudden attack. �I guess we don�t have far to go, after all.
Claron smiles weakly at Katie.
Shadow looks up and frowns, �Its time.�
DracBlue sighs and stands up looks at Cara and asks, �Are you ready for this?�
Cara looks at Kabal, �It�s started��
Valrash stands and runs outside.
Cara looks at Drac, �I better be.��
Katie: �Ah the moment arrives. Are you ready to face your death bravely, Katerina? Are you prepared for the end to all the ruining of lives? To let them live in peace from your special brand of bad luck?� Katie grits her teeth against the voice, watching the fireball rebound off the shield.
Vin_Da_DM: Maeve storms out of the diner, �Sooner than expected.� Walking to the center of the plaza the soldiers clear the area around her. Throwing her hands out in front of her Maeve begins to chant an incantation as she hovers into the air.
Vin_Da_DM: Floating high enough to clear the city walls, Maeve�s spell begins causing a section of the city shield to flux. With a thunderous crash the shield spits out several large white spheres that hurdle down towards the enemy from the point of origin on the shield.
Vin_Da_DM: �Avatar, Warriors, if you plan to attack, go now!� Neroosh shouts to them as he heads off towards a large group of soldiers.
Luna_Faline looks back at the temple for a moment. Turning to watch Maeve strike back at the enemy. �Eclipse, I would assume the Knights are not with this first wave. How are we going to get to them?�
Clarice: �I say we ride like the wind.�
Valrash gets on his horse and waits for the rest of the Warriors.
Arywn races toward her horse and quickly mounts.
Luna_Faline rests a paw in the sword hilt now riding on her hip. ~I know Misstress gave you to me for a reason. I hope you show me your power.~
Katie nods solemnly and heads back to group up with the others.
Vin_Da_DM: �Riding our way through will be difficult,� Eclipse says as he looks at everyone.
Arwyn shakes her head as she hears Eclipse. �Then, if riding is out of the question�what do you propose?�
Vin_Da_DM: �You can ride out, Warriors, you�ll just need some assistance.� A voice sounds nearby as Turian approaches your group. He gives a nod to Clarice and Stryder in turn as a white flame dances around him.
Clarice nods her head at Turian, remembering speaking with him near the fountain once.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Get me close to the enemy and you won�t miss it, Avatar.~ Luciendar says to Luna as a shimmer of light plays along the blade.
Luna_Faline looks at Turian, �Are you riding with us, or staying here to help maintain the defenses?�
Vin_Da_DM: �I�ll be clearing the way for you,� Turian glances to Luna, then over at Eclipse, �The city gates must stay closed, you can transport just outside them.�
Claron nods her head as she hears Turian, turns and heads toward Obsidian. Glancing back over her shoulder, �Coming, Tab?�
Tabris: �Now�s hardly the time for that, babe,� Tabris says with a grin as he walks over to her.
Katie smiles sadly at their verbal play.
Shadow mounts his war ram and smiles, �Time for a battle.�
Luna_Faline moves towards Mah, �Then let�s get going before the enemy gets to thick.�
Claron chuckles, �Glad you haven�t lost your sense of humor at least, dear.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse nods, then looks around again, �Everyone will need to be close, but I can get us there.�
Valrash looks back at Richard�s horse and notices he is gone.
Valrash shrugs, �Well, he�s probably gone home by now.�
Tabris smirks, �Good to hear, because it�s here to stay.�
Katie swings up onto Ki�lin�s back. �Once more into the fray. It�s now or never,� she murmurs in a blank tone.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shouts, �Everybody gather up, it�s time to bring the fight to them.�
Kyra climbs up on Robin, turning to look at Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder hops up onto Cyan and rides him over towards Eclipse.
Claron: �Good...I wouldn�t want it any other way,� as Tabris helps her mount Obsidian.
Shadow moves towards Eclipse.
Luna_Faline jumps lightly onto Mah�s back and takes the standard pole down. �I really don�t want to advertise where I�m at this time, but the staff could make a good weapon,� tucking the flag into a saddle bag.
Valrash moves towards Eclipse.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne morphs back into his dog form.
Cara moves over to Flare and mounts him.
DracBlue walks over next to Cara�s mount and waits with her.
Luna_Faline moves Mah to Eclipse�s side and waits for him to take us away.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir moves his horse next to Arwyn.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse nods and closes his eyes, �Get ready to move as soon as we�re on the other side.�
Vin_Da_DM: �More incoming!� Another shout from the wall heralds the arrival of a good number of gray fireballs hitting the city shield, the ripples of white almost making it look like day despite the darkness in the sky.
Luna_Faline watches the hits, �Let�s go before the next volley.�
Claron raises herself up slightly behind Tabris allowing her to kiss him gently on the cheek, then settles back behind him.
Vin_Da_DM: The shadow underneath Eclipse expands out absorbing everybody else�s shadows until a large circular section surrounds the group. �Here we go�� Eclipse sinks down into the shadows and everybody feels as though the ground falls out from underneath them.
Vin_Da_DM: A momentary blackness is replaced by a scene of chaos as you come face to face with a horde of demons, monsters and what can only be described as giant fireball spitting behemoths. Turian looks over his shoulder, �Time to clear you a path��
Vin_Da_DM: A blaze of white flames surrounds Turian like a tornado as he begins to calmly walk towards the enemy forces. A wave of monsters head for him, only to be set aflame by the inferno which lashes out at them with fiery strings.
Luna_Faline draws her sword and rides forward following Turian thru the enemy hoards.
Claron clutches Tabris tightly as the ground seems to fall out from underneath them.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse creates a shadow beast and follows next to Luna.
DracBlue lifts himself off the ground and flies right above Cara.
Shadow follows behind Eclipse.
Luna_Faline glances briefly at Eclipse, then focuses on the mayhem around us.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal crouches slightly as he creates a terra wave to surf on to follow the others.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder watches Turian, pausing momentarily, then shaking it off as he notices everyone moving out.
Valrash follows behind Shadow closely, watching the man create the path for them to run through thinking out loud. ~Damn, we just might survive.~
Claron whispers, �I love you�� as Turian clears the path ahead of them.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse narrows his gaze and looks around, his eyes focus on the behemoths as he watches them launch another volley of fireballs at the city.
Tabris: �I know,� Tabris whispers back.
Luna_Faline sees the fireballs flying towards the city and asks Eclipse, �How long can the shield hold up to that?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Long enough, I hope�� Eclipse says as his shadow beast grabs a monster in it�s jaws and breaks it in half.
Vin_Da_DM: Turian swings his hand around in front of him, his fiery tornado expanding forward in a burst, turning several dozen demons and monsters to ash ahead of him.
Kyra follows Stryder, wondering what it is about Turian that made Stryder seem lost.
Vin_Da_DM: Around you the demons and monsters let out a large shout as a group, from behind you hear a war horn. The city gates nearby open and group of cavalry and soldiers, numbering several thousands, comes charging out.
Vin_Da_DM: The two collide in the field, and the true chaos begins. The sky fills with sounds of shouts, weapons clanging and spells flying.
Vin_Da_DM: As Turian carves you deeper into the enemy lines, the gap behind you begins to close up, the monsters and demons divided between following you and charging ahead.
Luna_Faline looks back at Aventine one last time, hoping that home will still be here when the war is done.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne leaps over charred corpses as he follows with the group. Grabbing a sword in his mouth he manages a few run-by-slashings as he sprints along.
Clarice thinks about Tewyn and Shinta being held in captivity, and allows the anger she is feeling grow in intensity. Raising her hand she concentrates and send an icy shockwave towards the monsters and demons in a section clear of any of the soldiers and Warriors.
DracBlue dive bombs every so often, slashing at the demons and monsters that get too close to Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: Clarice�s shockwave turns a good dozen or two demons into shiny icicles, which are shattered as their fellow monsters plow through them trying to attack you.
Arwyn readies her bow, loading three arrows at a time, and rapid fires at the enemy to her side, repeatedly.
Valrash sends jets of flame at monsters near him.
Shadow pulls out some axes and starts throwing them at the monsters that get to close to him.
Cara raises her hand, shooting streaming pulses of mage fire at the enemy near her.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal watches Cara using her fire and nods, taking out enemies with large rocky spikes bursting from the ground.
Claron concentrates on one of the behemoths, manipulating it�s gravity and trying to use it like a bowling ball, rolling it back on the demons behind it, in an attempt to knock down and crush them.
Vin_Da_DM: Turian looks ahead, then glances over his shoulder at your group, �Your quarry lies ahead, I�ll remain here and deal with these�� He pauses to grab a monster that had made it through the inferno by the throat, and causing it to spontaneously combust, �...pests.�
Vin_Da_DM: Claron�s power seems to bounce off a shield surrounding the behemoths, though unaffected, the demons around it quickly learn what a trash compactor feels like.
Katie sends electromagnetic pulses at the fiends as they stray too near her. �Good,� purrs the voice. �You are doing well, Katerina. Just a little while longer, and it will all be over.�
Tabris: �Nice one, hun,� Tabris says as he spears a pair of demons on his obsidian lance, and bashing one in the head with the shield in his other hand. �I always wanted to try jousting.�
Luna_Faline nods and raises her sword, looks at Eclipse. �Let�s kill off a few generations of terror.�
Clarice continues to hold on to her anger, looking for a clear shot at the enemy she sends another icy shockwave into them.
Vin_Da_DM: Turian stands his ground as your group passes him, he turns around to face the monsters.
Vin_Da_DM: The forces ahead of you are thinned out, no longer the regular monsters and demons, but larger, more brutish looking ones.
Luna_Faline swings her sword in an arch as Mah moves forward.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse nods to Luna, but his shadow beast is ripped out from underneath him as one of the large demons swings it�s axe. Rolling on the ground Eclipse spears it with shadow tentacles, then jumps up using his sword to dissect it�s chest.
Valrash sends a jet of magma below a few of the big brutes.
Vin_Da_DM: A white trail follows Luna�s sword, sending out a white wave that blinds some of the beasts and flash-burns another on the spot.
Luna_Faline drives the sword into the chest of the nearest blind beast quickly.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Nothing like divine power to get one going after centuries of rest.~ Luciendar says to Luna with an amused yawn.
DracBlue swings down and slashes at the heads of the brutes that get close to Cara and himself.
Vin_Da_DM: �I�ll just borrow that,� Kabal says as he passes Valrash magma jet, pulling it along the ground beside him and then tossing it onto a pair of large fiends.
Luna_Faline smiles grimly. ~I�m glad your enjoying yourself,~ striking at several more blinded monsters.
Shadow pulls out his large axe and starts swinging it at the ones that get close to him, and throws axes at the ones that are to far away to hit.
Valrash says, �Go ahead, I can always make more,� as he summons another few magma jets underneath more of the creatures.
Cara nods her head at Drac as he slashes the head of one of the monsters. Then turns her streams of mage-fire into the demons that were blinded by Luna�s flash.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder nudges Cyan to keep moving as he teleports off him, reappearing in the air he lands on top of one of the beasts and stabs it in the back of the neck, then teleports back to Cyan.
Vin_Da_DM: The monster stabbed by Stryder trudges a few steps forward before the back of it�s neck explodes and it crumples to the ground.
DracBlue nods back at Cara right before landing on one of the brutes, biting off part of it�s skull, revealing it�s brains, and then stabs it.
Luna_Faline looks around to check on the other Warriors progress. Turning quickly back to strike another nasty boy, slicing off an arm.
DracBlue spits it out at the next monster and slashes at that one, too.
Vin_Da_DM: As you slice, burn, freeze, crush and otherwise battle your way through the larger beasts, about a dozen even larger ones block your path ahead. Each carrying weapons that dwarf you in size and could probably cut a house in two.
Tabris: �That could be a problem�� Tabris says looking ahead.
Valrash gets an idea from Kabal�s trick and summons a jet of magma on one of the giant�s faces.
Luna_Faline pauses before the wall of evil, ~What else you got up your blade?~ looking down at the sword.
Vin_Da_DM: Far behind you the Aventinian army is fairing decently, but each side losing soldiers swiftly.
Claron�s eyes grow large, �Holy Shit!�
Vin_Da_DM: The giant bats the magma jet away with it�s hand, causing it rain back down on your group in globs.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder moves Cyan out of the way.
Claron: �I like it big, but not that damn big!�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse leaps in the air and tackles Clarice off her horse as the equine is unfortunately melted.
Luna_Faline nudges Mah with her knees and dodges globs of the hot earth as we move forward.
Clarice starts concentrating on freezing the globs that are falling towards them, but feels herself land hard on the ground with Eclipse on top of her, �Don�t you have the wrong pussy?�
Kyra follows Stryder, just managing to dodge being incinerated.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne rolls to the side, dodging a frozen lava chuck as it hits the ground, �Frozen lava falling from the sky...that�s new.�
Katie looks up in horror, frozen in place.
DracBlue moves out of the way of one of the chunks of ice.
Luna_Faline swings the sword in a large arc again, pointing it at the huge monsters blocking our way.
Clarice scrambles to her feet and turns her attention towards the monsters in front of them. Looking for a clear shot, and finding it, she sends a huge icy shockwave roaring towards them.
Vin_Da_DM: Several of the giants move with thunderous steps out of the way of Luna�s sword arc and the shockwave, while three are hobbled by the combination of frozen ankles and an ice-shattering sword arc.
Vin_Da_DM: One of the giants hoists his huge hammer up and brings it crashing into the ground, shaking the very earth itself.
Arwyn looks at the huge monsters and head, glancing over at Sabir, uncertain if this is the right time for the golden orb.
Vin_Da_DM: Obsidian jumps at the earthquake, as Stryder is knocked off Cyan.
Arwyn�s and Cara�s horses rear as the ground shakes.
Shadow stops moving himself around as his battle ram jumps in the air.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir looks over at Arwyn and nods as he secures his horse, �For the light m�lady��
Valrash falls off his horse, cursing.
Claron tries to steady the gravity of her, Tabris, and Obsidian as the ground shakes violently.
Luna_Faline feels Mah�s shifting power under her holding his footing as the ground shakes.
Clarice feels herself stumbling, and loses her balance as the ground underneath her shakes.
Vin_Da_DM: Another giant brings his sword crashing down towards Stryder, who teleports out of the way, letting the sword sink into the ground creating a deep sidewalk sized rut in the ground.
Luna_Faline leans forward and whispurrs in Mah�s ear, �Take care of yourself, brother mine,� then jumps off and runs at one of the footless monsters. Running swiftly between his legs, she drives the sword upward as she passes under him.
Arwyn sighs as she hears Sabir, reaching into her saddlebag she pulls out the orb. Glancing over at Sabir, �For the light�� as she holds her hand out, palm up, with the orb in the center of it.
Kyra jerks Robin to the side, avoiding becoming part of the new rut in the land.
Luna_Faline spins around and moves in behind another giant, driving the sword into his lower back and giving it a nasty twist.
Vin_Da_DM: The two giants crudely neutered by Luna roar out in pain, clearly not enjoying the pain as they fall to the ground with small earth-shakes.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne morphs into his werewolf form, glancing around at the giants around them.
Luna_Faline growls and drives her sword into the chest of a now fallen giant. ~Good goddess, what�s it take to kill these guys?~
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir looks over at the orb and begins chanting. The orb begins glowing yellow, an aura with surrounds Sabir as well, as he slides off his horse. The orb floats from Arwyn�s grasp and over towards Sabir.
Vin_Da_DM: Continuing to chant the orb sinks into Sabir�s chest and the yellow glow strengthens. Glancing at Arwyn he nods, �It has been a honor, m�lady�� Turning towards the monsters, he transforms into a large golden energy being and begins attacking the giants.
Vin_Da_DM: Beheading the closest giants with a large golden sword, the energy being turns it�s attention to the rest. Skewering one with the sword, it turns and throws the sword at another, which causes the sword and the giant to vaporize. Flying towards the remaining giants, the energy being hits them, taking itself and the giants out with a large yellow blinding burst of light.
Vin_Da_DM: As the noise and blaze fades, the headless giants bodies remain, but the others, which are nothing but smoking spots on the ground, their giant weapons lying on the ground.
Tabris sits on the back of Obsidian his eyes wide and speechless.
DracBlue stops looking at the smoking spots in wonder and awe.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne lowers his hand that he shielded his eyes with, �Gods be damned...what the hell was that.�
Luna_Faline looks up after the light fades and surveys the Warriors, noting Sabir is gone. �Oh Goddess, grant him peace in his sacrifice,� she prays softly.
Shadow says, �Wow, that was something.�
Arwyn�s eyes begin to fill with tears and a lump forms in her throat, rendering her speechless.
Katie shakes herself back to reality, just in time to see Sabir make the ultimate sacrifice.
Vin_Da_DM: A soft clapping echoes across the field, �Fantastic, I do enjoy a good light show.� A sly grin accompanies the voice of Xamaen as she walks past one of the giants swords.
Valrash pulls his hands back from his eyes and notices that Sabir is gone, �Well, that was damn bright.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse narrows his gaze, his grip on his sword tightening as he watches her.
Luna_Faline holds her sword ready as she turns to face the dark avatar.
DracBlue looks at the newcomer on the field and frowns.
Vin_Da_DM: A burst of flame, marks another figure teleporting onto the field to your right. Holding a large two-handed sword Mileor motions towards the group, �They�ve dealt with your hounds, Xamaen, now it�s our turn.�
Valrash glares at his father and summons his spear.
Cara looks over at Valrash, watching for his reaction when he sees his father.
Luna_Faline glances quickly from Xamaen to Eclipse. Then slowly circles the smoking spot to make my way closer to Eclipse.
Vin_Da_DM: �Carrrra,� a voice whispers across the field, as a slender black figure fades into view from thin air.
DracBlue lands next to Cara and frowns at the slender black figure.
Vin_Da_DM: Xamaen chuckles, �So many to choose from, hmmm...interesting.� She takes a few steps towards the group, glancing over each of you. She pauses on Stryder, �So, that is where you are hiding...it is not to late to redeem yourself.�
Cara turns her head towards the direction of the whisper, seeing the slender black figure come into view, the color drains from her face and she begins to tremble.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks completely confused as Xamaen speaks to him, �What are you talking about?�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne looks between the three of them, unsure of what to do.
DracBlue turns to Cara, �We�re not alone this time, we can do this. Don�t freak out on me now.� He smiles reassuringly at her.
Katie shifts on Ki�lin, a distasteful expression on her face.
Vin_Da_DM: Smirking she turns, glancing in a seductive manner over her shoulder, �Still don�t know? Poor boy...better to get rid of him now, Warriors, before it�s too late.�
Luna_Faline watches Xamaen focus on Stryder and growls, �It�s not nice to tease the children, why don�t you pick on some one your own age?� pointing the sword at her.
Cara: �I wish I believed that�� keeping her gaze riveted on Nightside.
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor chuckles, �Hardly seems fair, Xa, maybe I should just watch to even the odds.�
Kyra: �Too late for what?� Kyra whispers, looking across the corpses at Stryder.
DracBlue looks at Cara and says, �If you don�t snap out of that trance you�re in, I just might have to kiss ya just to snap you out of this�even if it makes you slap me.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Ahh, nobody knows, perhaps I�ll let it be a surprise then,� Xamaen giggles, almost child-like, as she takes several more steps and glances at Luna, �Careful where you point your toys, somebody might break them.�
Cara continues to look at Nightside, �You even try that, Drac...I promise, it will be the last thing you ever do.�
Vin_Da_DM: Nightside moves along the ground, his body writhing in a nightmarish fashion as he moves. �The choir of voicesssss is waiting for youuuuuuuu.�
DracBlue sighs and says, �I got away with it in Aventine and I�m still here.� He smiles, trying to get Cara to stop looking at the man.
Cara watches as Nightside moves. Reaching a hand down and patting Flare, she whispers, �Don�t let him get anywhere near us.�
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor hoists his sword to his shoulder and looks at Valrash, �Think it�s time I teach a young whelp his place.�
Luna_Faline steps closer to Eclipse and whispurrs, �This is a surprise,� looking around at the Knights and who they are picking on.
Valrash keeps looking at his father, but says nothing and gives a look of defiance.
Vin_Da_DM: �I can see why he chose me, brother,� Xamaen hisses as her black bone tail coils over her shoulder, �Consorting with the likes of her, so is it out of guilt or desire?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Love, something that you�d never understand, Xamaen,� Eclipse says sharply to her.
Vin_Da_DM: �Love, hah, you gave up the power for love. A foolish choice,� Xamaen grins as the shadow under her ripples and shadow tentacles begin weaving together under her.
Claron watches the events unfolding in front of the Warriors, then whispers to Tabris, �What do you suppose that bitch meant? Not too late to redeem yourself? I don�t like what that implies.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal glares at Nightside, but speaks to Cara, �You�re not alone against him, Cara.�
Luna_Faline studies Xamaen for a weakness to attack. �Power comes from many sources, you don�t have a monopoly.�
Katie examines her nails disinterestedly.
Cara continues to shake, �Kabal, tell me that you know what his weakness is....please.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Enough chatting Xa, on with it!� Mileor lowers his sword and sinks it into the ground, causing a large circle of fire to surround you and the three knights, preventing escape via the ground.
Katie: �Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah�� Katie rolls her shoulders, arching her back and stretching.
Vin_Da_DM: �Very well,� Xamaen throws her hands out to the sides, her shadow expanding to fill the entire perimeter inside the fire circle.
Cara: �Oh no, no...NO!!� as she realizes there is no way to escape, but through the fire.
Vin_Da_DM: Shadow tentacles begin worming their way out of the ground around you, trying to wrap around anybody on the ground.
Luna_Faline plunges her sword into the shadow as it covers the ground at her feet.
Kyra tries to flatten a section of the flames with a powerful gust of wind carefully controlled and aimed.
Vin_Da_DM: A small circle of tentacles around Eclipse fight off Xamaen�s tentacles. The ground around Luna�s feet disperses the shadows in a small radius.
DracBlue flies up getting off the ground.
Valrash flies up and gets off the ground.
Vin_Da_DM: Kyra�s wind blows against the flames, but they seem unaffected. Mileor shakes a finger at Kyra, �Now�now, little girl.�
Kyra gives a saucy grin, �Well, you understand I HAD to try.�
Clarice concentrates and causes a blizzard of snow to fall.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne claws at the tentacles trying to hold him down.
Luna_Faline shoots her claws at Xamaen�s spine repeatedly.
Vin_Da_DM: Wrapped by the tentacles, Stryder teleports away to get out of their grasp.
Vin_Da_DM: With an odd bone shaped chakram, Xamaen reflects the claws into her shadows, where they sink in and disappear. Sliding down into the shadows she disappears, and reappears in another part of the field.
Vin_Da_DM: Clarice�s blizzard makes if feel like Christmas, but doesn�t seem to quell the fires. Mileor chuckles, �Snow, what do you intend to do? Have a snowball fight?�
Valrash shoots fireballs at Xamaen.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal growls as he pushes section of rock out of the shadows, climbing on top of it, he begins manipulating it to create rock armor.
Clarice: �Fuck no...I thought I�d enjoy the sound of the sizzling snow in the flames, you dumb bastard!�
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor dashes across the field, using a swing of his sword to redirect Valrash�s fireball towards Clarice.
Vin_Da_DM: Nightside moves swiftly across the shadows, almost instantly being face to face with Cara. Picking up her horse he shakes Cara off to the ground and tosses the horse to the ground where it gets sucked under by the shadow tentacles.
Clarice ducks the fireball.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse slides down into the shadows as well, coming out of them in front of Xamaen. Using his sword he begins fighting her, his swings being blocked by her chakram as they exchange blows.
Cara screams as Nightside comes face to face with her. As she hits the ground, she scurries away from him.
DracBlue swoops down and grabs Cara as she is scurrying away, holds her in his arm and flies up above Nightside�s reach.
Cara feels herself being lifted into the air as she tries to scurry away.
Luna_Faline runs toward Xamaen moving quickly across the shadowy ground, aiming the sword at her back.
Kyra looks around for Stryder, to make sure he�s safe. ~Whatever happens to me, be safe. I love you.~
Vin_Da_DM: As Nightside leaves Cara�s sight he moves again, appearing with incredible speed in front of Drac and Cara in the air. �Mineeeee.� He reaches out to grab Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Don�t say that,~ Stryder says to Kyra as he teleports again to escape the tendrils.
DracBlue lifts her up to his shoulder and slashes at Nightside.
Cara emits a loud shrill scream, �NO! NO! NO! Get away from me!�
Vin_Da_DM: Xamaen giggles seeing Luna over her shoulder and sinks down before Luna�s blade can hit her.
Kyra: ~We have no way of knowing if I�ll get out of here. I just want you to know how much the last few months have meant to me, being here with you.~ Kyra�s voice is resigned and calm.
Luna_Faline changes the path of her blade to plunge into the ground where Xamaen sunk.
Vin_Da_DM: Nightside hisses ethereally at Drac, reaching out he grabs Drac�s arm and pulls the two closer to him. His bright sky blue eyes reflect Cara�s face in them.
Vin_Da_DM: The shadows disperse in a radius around Luna�s feet again, Xamaen casually slides out of the ground across the field again, shifting her attention to Tabris and Claron this time.
Cara draws a deep breath in as Nightside pulls them closer to him, bringing her hand up in front of his eyes, she sends huge streams of mage-fire into them.
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal glances up in the air at Nightside with Drac and Cara.
DracBlue stabs at Nightside when Cara sends mage-fire to him.
Luna_Faline looks around growling in anger, �She�s pissing me off,� finds Xamaen going after Tabris and Claron.
Vin_Da_DM: Cara�s mage-fire pulses out of hole Drac stabbed in Nightside, burning Drac. Releasing his grip on Drac he roars, a loud ethereal howl that echoes across the field. �Foolish childdddd.�� Turning the color of Cara�s mage-fire Nightside glares at her.
Claron sees Xamaen coming near them, �Don�t suppose we could off her by working together, do ya?�
Tabris: �It�s worth a try�� Tabris says creating a large batch of obsidian in the air around him.
Vin_Da_DM: A large weaved patch of tendrils rises out of the ground in front of Xamaen and shoots towards Claron and Tabris like a tidal wave.
DracBlue pushes Nightside to below him and stops flying putting all his weight on Nightside.
Claron begins to concentrate on the gravity of the tendrils, making them heavy, trying to slow them down.
Cara tries smiling at Nightside, �Oh, that color suits you better.�
Vin_Da_DM: Drac and Nightside plummet to the ground, hitting the ground, Nightside breaks into streams of mage-fire, then reforms standing in front of him. Grabbing Cara, he pries her off of Drac, then kicks Drac across the field like a soccer ball towards the firewall.
Arwyn begins to manipulate the photons in the fire circle creating a bright light within the circle.
Tabris brings his obsidian together in a flat shield, that the shadow wave crashes against. Sighing he looks at Claron, �Close call��
Luna_Faline roars and runs at Xamaen again with the sword, swinging in a tight arc toward her.
Vin_Da_DM: Xamaen turns and back-flips out of Luna�s way, sending a packed bunch of tendrils at Arwyn.
DracBlue uses the momentum of the kick to turn around in mid air, and uses his strength to push on the ground, pushing himself at the same speed back to Nightside.
Luna_Faline follows Xamaen�s path with the sword. ~I can�t get close enough to her to do any good.~
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal runs at Nightside, crashing against his legs and dispersing him. As he is dispersed again, Cara drops the ground as Nightside begins reforming again. Kabal gets in between the two.
Vin_Da_DM: ~She�s fast and these shadows aren�t helping...there must be something...~ Luciender pauses for thought in Luna�s mind, her voice irritated.
Cara watches as Nightside kicks Drac towards the fire, and at that instant realizes that the very thing she feared is happening.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse watches Xamaen move, then looks over at Luna and her sword, �I�ve got an idea��
Luna_Faline growls in frustration and looks at Eclipse.
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor studies the field with a grin, then dashes towards Kyra with his sword drawn back for a swing.
Luna_Faline moves back to Eclipse quickly, �Is she using the shadows on the ground to feel our movements?�
Kyra throws her hands up, concentrating a powerful burst of wind at him to knock him off balance.
Vin_Da_DM: Meanwhile Xamaen slithers out of her shadows again, appearing next to Katie, �You looked lonely.� She smirks as several shadow beasts crawl their way out of the ground around Katie.
Clarice creates a crystal clear wall, �Direct your light through this, Arwyn!�
DracBlue stops by flying upward, and slows down long enough to swoop down at the reforming Nightside and stabs at him again.
Shadow teleports behind Mileor and tries to chop at him with a throwing axe.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne growls and leaps into the air and tackles one of the shadow beasts near Katie. Xamaen slithers away to send another tidal wave at Claron and Tabris.
Arwyn directs her manipulation of the photons through the crystal clear wall, intensifying its brightness onto Xamaen.
Katie shrugs. �Buy me dinner, and I�ll think of putting out.� She slashes at the beasts with her sword.
Vin_Da_DM: Drac�s attack only disperses Nightside, who reforms behind Drac, �Insectttttt.�� Hissing at Drac he grabs his wings and tries to rip them off.
Arwyn tries to make the light rid the areas of shadows.
Vin_Da_DM: The bright light from Arywn�s magic disperses a lot of the shadows in the field. Eclipse raises his hand to block the light from his view. Xamaen�s soft voice sounds near Arwyn, �You missed a spot, dear elf.� Several tendrils wrap up from under Arwyn around her legs.
DracBlue uses his strength to push Nightside together, smashing him between his wings, turns around and punches him with his claws in, then pushing his claws out.
Arwyn tries to reflect some of that light down around her feet.
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor slides along the ground and blocks Shadow�s axe, �Neutral indeed.� He snarls at Shadow and throws a fireball at him, then continues towards Kyra.
Katie whirls and sends an electromagnetic pulse at Mileor, �Keep your mitts to yourself, you dirty prick,� she says blandly.
Shadow teleports out of the way, �As neutral as you claiming not to fight.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Luna, your sword may be the key, but it won�t do us good here�� Eclipse looks at Luna.
Claron: �Tab, could your obsidian shield just Eclipse�so the light doesn�t affect him?�
Luna_Faline raises a brow, �Where would it do us good?�
Arwyn hears Eclipse, �Maybe if the light reflects off the sword, it would be strong enough to wipe her out.�
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor is knocked back by the pulse, then gets to his feet and looks at Katie, �Wait your turn, girl.� Swinging his sword in the air an arc of fire sweeps towards Katie.
Valrash lands on the ground close to Mileor and swings at him with his spear.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne sinks the sword into the beast and twists it, standing up he snarls.
Katie pales, facing the oncoming arc of flames, �Yessssssss,� hisses the voice as she swallows and tries to duck below it, laying almost flat against Ki�lin�s back.
Vin_Da_DM: �The other side.� Eclipse looks over at Arwyn, �Your magic will help...quickly.� He motions for Arwyn to come to him and Luna.
Arwyn races over towards Eclipse and Luna.
Kyra: �Katie!� Kyra�s panicked scream echoes across the field.
Luna_Faline nods, �Ok, let�s make it quick,� as Arwyn joins us.
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor moves his sword to block Valrash�s spear, �Good, son�� Spinning backward he deflects the spear away and slices at Valrash.
Cara having picked herself up off the ground, stands behind her brother watching.
Valrash says, �I wouldn�t have it any other way,� as he dodges the slash and swings his spear again, shooting fire out the tip of the spear at his father.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse quickly sinks Luna and Arwyn with him into the ground. In the Shadow Realm, the very air seems to flow and ebb away from Luna�s sword. ~Dark...the magic down here is overpowering.~ Xamaen appears in front of the three, �And what do you think to accomplish here?�
Claron concentrates on the gravity of Mileor, making it heavier in an effort to slow him down, so Valrash can strike him multiple times in succession.
Vin_Da_DM: The fire blazes against Mileor�s armor, moving his sword to block the spear he turns his gaze toward Claron, �Do your friends always interfere this much?� He throws a hand towards Claron, several fireballs shoot out towards her.
Tabris creates a circular obsidian shield to block the fireballs heading for Claron.
Claron ducks.
Vin_Da_DM: �Arwyn, use your magic on the sword. Luna, attack when I say,� Eclipse says to them, �I�ll distract her�� Walking forward, the thick shadows of the realm begin to fold in around Eclipse, then shoot out towards Xamaen.
Valrash says, �Friends? That�s funny. I think they all hate me.� He frowns as he attacks his father with his spear. He sends a flame vortex at him.
Luna_Faline holds the sword ready, waiting for Eclipse�s signal.
Arwyn nods her head, then concentrates her magic as asked, and creates a stream a light directed at Luna�s sword.
Luna_Faline angles the sword to catch the light, watching Eclipse.
Vin_Da_DM: Nightside bursts into several streams of mage-fire that swirl around Drac and down along the ground. Reforming a good distance away, Nightside glares over to Cara again, giving an evil look at Kabal.
Vin_Da_DM: Xamaen begins combating Eclipse�s attack with one of her own, the folded shadow realm attacks begin peeling away the leathery hide of Eclipse�s body along with Xamaen�s boney skin. Gathering a large batch, he broadsides Xamaen, then rolls to the side, �Now!�
DracBlue screams out in pain, he pulls out the orange metallic bar and chomps on it.
Luna_Faline runs at Xamaen and swings the sword at her head. ~I don�t care how uncivilized it is, I want her dead.~
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor gathers the flame vortex around him, then spins his sword around causing it to disperse. �I know all your tricks, boy��
DracBlue starts healing.
Valrash spears through the dispersing vortex while it is still going and says, �Then you will know this one.�
Cara: �Don�t think Nightside likes the idea of you helping me, Kabal.�
Vin_Da_DM: ~Oh, she will be, dear...~ Luciendar says. As the sword strikes Xamaen a blazing light floods the shadow realm, making it almost as bright as the sun. For a split second Luna and Arwyn can see an endless marble plateau with a crystal blue sky. The burst of light ends, and Luna and Arwyn find themselves on the snow-covered battlefield.
Luna_Faline looks around us, �Eclipse?�
Arwyn sees the snow-covered battlefield, �Where is he?�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna notices Eclipse�s sword sticking out of the ground, and the smooth black skin of the form lying next to it. Opening his eyes faintly he coughs, �Good...work�� Grabbing the sword he tries wearily to pull himself off the ground.
Arwyn reaches down and helps Eclipse up.
Vin_Da_DM: �He won�t hurt you if I have anything to do about it,� Kabal narrows his gaze at Nightside, �Bring it on, you overgrown boogie man.�
Luna_Faline takes his arm and holds him up, �You scared me. How bad is it?� trying to heal him.
Kyra looks around frantically. ~Stryder?~
Vin_Da_DM: ~I�m here...~ Stryder tightens the grip on his blade, and eyes Mileor fighting Valrash. ~We�ve got to help him.~
Vin_Da_DM: Luna notices the cuts on Eclipse heal and seal over, what is odd, however, is that Eclipse is bleeding red blood.
Luna_Faline looks at the red blood, then up at Eclipse�s eyes, �What happened?�
Vin_Da_DM: ~Next time, you save your own life shadow.~ The dark voice whispers in Eclipse�s head as the sword glints black.
Kyra�s face relaxes again, knowing he�s safe. ~Val, or his dad?~ She gives a half-hearted smirk and moves to assist Valrash.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder teleports into range of Mileor as well. Mileor swings at Valrash, then snarls and turns to swing at Kyra and Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: �Shame Father isn�t here...this would be a lot easier,� Kabal says as he begins moving the earth around in front of himself and Cara.
Kyra dances out of the way, doing a low spin and swinging her sword at Mileor�s calves.
Vin_Da_DM: �Long or short version,� Eclipse says gruffly to Luna, the tone of his voice having lost it�s typical ethereal nature.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder teleports in place to dodge the swing, and stabs at Mileor. His and Kyra�s attacks however fail to pierce his armor.
Luna_Faline lays a paw on his cheek, �Short for now.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at Luna with his blue eyes, �Short...I�m mortal.�
Valrash stabs at his father more, saying, �Still afraid to take off the armor, I see.�
Claron concentrates on the gravity of Stryder�s dirk as he swings at Mileor�s armor trying to make it sink deep into it.
Vin_Da_DM: �Don�t suppose Mom taught you anything else besides the mage-fire?� Kabal questions Cara as the earth in front of them rises from the ground and begins to shape into a pair of spiked pillars.
Luna_Faline bows my head to hide the tears threatening to spill down my cheeks. Taking a deep breath I look up, �I love you.�
Vin_Da_DM: Broad-siding Stryder with the flat of his sword, Mileor turns around to block Valrash�s stabs, �A gift from your mother, so I�m sentimental.�
Cara raises a brow, �I tried a spell once, but I am afraid�I made a mess of it, really screwed it up.�
Vin_Da_DM: Kabal breaks the pillars apart into smaller sections, �Well, let�s put that mess to good use�� He motions at the pillars, then at Nightside.
Valrash strikes at one of the straps of the armor, trying to snap it off. He says, �How is Mother? I haven�t heard from her in two years.�
Luna_Faline looks over at the other two fights still going on, �I think they need help.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder gets to his feet and holds his side.
Cara nods her head and begins to chant the same spell she used before as she looks at the pillars. �Valdecium Immorterium, Telportium Unisomanus Dilictium!�
Vin_Da_DM: As the pillars begins to teleport, Kabal lowers his hands against the ground and pulls them up creating a small circle of magma jetting up around Nightside. The pillars reappear inside Nightside causing him to disperse.
Vin_Da_DM: Noticing this Kabal brings his hands together and the magma domes over Nightside�s mage-fire streams and hardens. Kabal closes his eyes and pushes his hands down into the ground, causing the hardened magma dome to burrow down into the ground.
Vin_Da_DM: From the hole it creates a bright pillar of light bursts up into the air, soft whispers in the air seeming joyous. Elsewhere, Wraith lowers his blade, looking to the pillar of light in the distance, the invisible wind around silences for a moment as he speaks, �They�re free at last��
Luna_Faline watches Kabal and Cara take out Nightside. �Well, they finally got it together. Maybe they don�t need help.�
DracBlue gets up after healing from his food and runs over to Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: Mileor growls noticing the pillar, �Didn�t part on the best of terms, son.� Stepping back he looks back at Stryder, then at the others, �Have fun with that one. The field is yours, for now.� Mileor raises his sword and teleports away with a burst of flame shooting out from him as he does.
Cara: �I�ll be damned...it worked in a good way this time. Looks like he made a promise to me he couldn�t keep,� smiles happily.
Luna_Faline looks the group over, �Anyone hurt?�
Valrash sighs and says, �He ran again.�
Cara chuckles, �Guess we can call your dad �Chicken Shit Mileor� from now on.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I think�� Stryder falls to a knee, coughing with blood on his lip.
DracBlue looks around.
Valrash looks to Cara �I wouldn�t get so cocky, if I were you.�
Claron gasps, slides of Obsidian and races toward Stryder, drops to her knees and cradles him, �I refuse to lose you, too.�
Vin_Da_DM: The ring of fire disappears around, leaving a large circle of snowy grass around you.
Shadow gets back on his riding ram.
Luna_Faline moves quickly over to Stryder, �What happened?� placing her paws on his shoulders.
Kyra kneels at Stryder�s side, her face drawn and pale. �Hang on, baby,� she croons.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder snaps, �I�ll be fine!� Standing after Luna�s heal, he looks around, �One ran and the other two are dead, right?�
Valrash looks at Stryder and says, �Yes, I believe so.�
Katie lays on the ground where she�d fallen from Ki�lin, the deep burns on her face making her moan softly.
Luna_Faline grabs Stryder�s arm, �Easy, boy." Looking from Claron to Kyra shaking my head. I drop my paw as I see Katie laying on the ground. �Oh, Goddess.�
Cara watches Claron, Luna, and Kyra with Stryder when she hears him snap at them...
Vin_Da_DM: �Kat?� Syne crouches down next to her, �Luna!�
Kyra blinks back tears, standing and backing up several steps, looking frightened.
Katie stares blindly up at the sky, �Did we win?� she coughs.
Claron: �Yes, son...that is right.�
Luna_Faline runs over to Katie and kneels next to her. �Shhhhh, it�ll be alright. Just hang on a moment.� Runs my paws over her burns softly.
Luna_Faline glances up at Syne checking him for injuries, out of habit.
Kyra turns and walks away, still blinking.
Vin_Da_DM: �Yea...we won, but there�s more of �em,� Syne looks down at her, he nods to Luna noting a slice on his chest that is slowly closing up.
Katie: �Isn�t there�always?� Katie smiles, �Dammit, everything is still a blur.� She takes a deep breath.
Cara slips past Kabal and moves over to Kyra, slipping her arm around her, �He will be fine...I just know it.�
Kyra shakes her head. �I�m in way over my head with this. I was stupid to think�� she lays her head on Cara�s shoulder and sniffles.
Luna_Faline looks down at Katie, �Just rest for a minute, I�m not done.� Concentrates harder to heal the rest of her stubborn wounds.
Katie closes her eyes for a moment. Then she opens them once more. The brilliant emerald is faded a bit, but Luna can see she�s focusing on her face. �You still look like the marmalade I had when I was eight.�
Luna_Faline chuckles and pats Katie�s shoulder, �Could have been a relative of mine, I suppose.�
Katie: �MmmHmm. Indeed it could.� Katie sits up slowly, a bit dizzy. She turns and checks Ki�lin for injuries. �You okay, old friend?� she holds out her hand to the unicorn.
Luna_Faline stands up and looks around for Mah.
Cara: �He will be okay, I promise.�
Clarice stands quietly off behind the others, watching the others and fearful for Tewyn and Shinta.
Katie catches a glimpse of her wrist, and suddenly glares, getting to her feet.
Vin_Da_DM: Ki�lin nods her head to Katie, then watches her stand.
Katie: �What ever happened to that cat�oh yes.� Katie gives a cold smile, murmuring, �It went crazy and Da had to shoot it.�
Katie buries her face in Ki�lin�s neck, breathing in the warm scent.
Claron raises a brow at Stryder as she stands back up, �Are you sure you will be all right?�
Luna_Faline hisses at Katie and walks away to find Mah. Following his scent, picking her way across the littered battlefield.
Kyra hiccups softly and raises her head, sniffling. �I�m sure he�ll be perfectly fine.� She says, her face becoming a blank mask, rather similar to the expression she�d seen on Katie a hundred times. �Now I begin to understand,� she whispers to herself.
Vin_Da_DM: �Yes, I�ll be fine.� Stryder nods, then twirls his dirk in his hand.
Luna_Faline finds Mah sitting in the shade of a large old tree and sits down next to him. Wiping the blood off the sword on the grass, �Your alright, I assume?�
Vin_Da_DM: Meanwhile the Behemoth�s fireballs finally breach the city�s shield, the gray fireball crashing into a section of the trade district with an explosion. Along the battlements of the city the siege weapons retaliate, sending flaming steel spheres into the large mass of the Dark Army still approaching the city.
Vin_Da_DM: In the air above the Dark Army, atop the mighty dragon lord Sarez, Daegriss looks down as his army pushes the remains of the Aventinian army�s advance back into the city. Noticing the pillar of light, he shakes his head, �Failures...signal the army to continue into the city, kill them all, I want no soldier left standing by the time we reach the castle.�
Vin_Da_DM: Turning, Stryder watches the scene at Aventine�s walls, �They�re breaching the shield�� he says with a stern voice. As he takes several steps away from the group muttering to himself in a deeper voice, he narrows his gaze, �He will pay for exiling me...until then, the others only serve our purpose�� And for a brief second, Stryder�s eyes blaze with fire...
