Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: As a result of Cara�s teleportation spell the Warriors had their bodies switched. Figuring out who had ended up in which body was the first order of business. Eventually figured it out they then scouted the forest to determine their location.
Vin_Da_DM: Noticing a smoke in the distance near mountains, the Warriors and crew, decided to investigate. Discovering a camp of soldiers, they learned that it was under the command of Lord Christopher Weston, a noble from Aventine.
Vin_Da_DM: Informing them that a dark figure and a group of mysterious creatures had taken control of the mountain pass that lead towards Aventine. Debating a plan they chose to finalize their plans in the morning after having a night's rest.
Vin_Da_DM: *Time passed: 8 hours*
Vin_Da_DM: The light of the morning suns shines weakly through the heavy layer of mountain fog above the camp. A light breeze blows cool air down from the snowy peaks above as frost coats the ground and tents in a thin layer.
Vin_Da_DM: Most of the soldiers are stirring from their rest, a pair of robed men with the look of priests or monks are preparing breakfast near the camp�s central fire-pit. The taller of the two dips a ladle with a rusted handle into the cauldron to taste, looking unsure he adds a pinch of green leaves.
Vin_Da_DM: $ Start
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse yawns, blinking wearily haven forgotten he was in Clarice�s body.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder stares over at his own body, shaking his head he sighs, �Still can�t get used to that��
^Shinta sits with the other monks by the fire awaiting the others to wake.
DracBlue says, �Yo, Tab�do you always itch like this in the morning?�
Cara�s eyes flutter open and instantly she feels the wave of nausea hit her.
Valrash looks round.
Tabris grunts as he opens his eyes and rolls them over to Drac, �What did you do now��
DracBlue says, �Nothing, but your balls itch.�
Clarice rises to get out of the bedroll and feels like the princess that slept on a pea.
Tewyn sits by Shinta sniffing, �Man, what�s in that pot?� fanning his nose.
Luna_Faline wanders in from the woods in the shape of Syne, hoping she remembered all the important stuff right.
Claron sits up next to Tabris, �Hate to admit it, but them feathers sure were nice and warm.�
Shadow gets up and starts sharpening his axe and polishing his armor.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne looks over and sees Luna in his body, �Morning, been treating me well, I hope.�
Luna_Faline looks at Syne in my body, �I can hope the same.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne nods, �Had to relieve myself during the night, but that seems to be normal for humanoids.�
Cara reaches for the valarean root and begins to nibble on it slowly, �I just don�t understand it�I felt fine until we got switched,� glances over at Claron.
DracBlue looks over at Cara but remains silent.
Tabris raises a brow, �Cara, you feeling alright?� Getting to his feet he moves over to Cara.
Kyra rolls over and bumps into something.
Luna_Faline inhales deeply, �I think someone is trying to cook breakfast. Trying be the main thought.�
Kyra smiles and snuggles closer, blinking awake slowly. Then she yelps and jumps to her feet. �HOLY fuckin� jackrabbit balls, Katie! Put that thing away, wouldja? Yer givin� me the creeps.�
Vin_Da_DM: One of the two cooks looks over at Luna then back to the cauldron as he stirs. The second cook is cooking meat with a skillet heated by a soft glowing red stone.
Katie sits up blinking, looking completely baffled. �HUH?�
Cara catches sight of her father sitting around the campfire and moves over towards him, �I am sorry, Father...I didn�t mean for any of this to happen. I...I...was only trying to help.� The sound of Cara�s voice comes out of Claron�s body as she sits down next to him.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shakes his head as he watches Kyra and Katie.
Tewyn looks up, �Huh, didn�t want what to happen?�
Luna_Faline moves over to the fire and sees Tewyn and Shinta. �Well, I�m certainly glad you two found us. We�re going to need all the help we can get on this one.�
Katie follows Kyra�s blushing gaze, then hunches over a bit, Stryder�s face getting more and more red. �Oh hell,� she mumbles. �Sorry.�
Tewyn smiles a bit, �Guess your magic needs some work, huh?�
Vin_Da_DM: Standing and stretching Eclipse glances around at the others.
Clarice watches as Cara walks away without acknowledging Tabris, her eyes follow her. �Oh my... � as she starts to rush over towards Tewyn.
^Shinta nods, �Just not as we intended to find you.�
Cara nods her head, �I am afraid so...I somehow managed to switch some of the Warriors and lost you and Shinta.�
Tewyn: �I don�t think it was all you, my daughter...I think that light elf had a hand in it.�
DracBlue sighs and watches Cara.
Tabris looks over at Claron in Cara�s body, �Oh? Still a little strange to see you in Cara�s body.�
Cara: �You think? But they got switched, too.�
Claron chuckles, �It�s stranger to me to see you in Drac�s body, my love.�
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir looks over at Arwyn, �Seems the dark elf and the other made it here during the night.�
Tewyn shrugs, �Well, something didn�t go as planned.�
Luna_Faline moves to stand upwind from the cooking fires and waits for the others to join the group.
Katie excuses herself while Kyra heads in the other direction.
Cara: �I know I used the right words...I heard Mother say them many times��
Luna_Faline looks from Cara to Tewyn, �I think she used the wrong inflection.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne moves over to Luna, then glances up at the mountains. �Hiking was never a favorite of mine, neither is cold weather and snow.�
Tewyn nods, �Magic is a tricky thing, has to be just right.�
Luna_Faline nods at Syne, �I�m not fond of them either. And to make matters worse we then have to go underground.�
Tabris: �The wings take some getting used to,� Tabris extends a hand, clenching the fist lightly to make the claws extend, �Accessories ain�t bad either.�
Clarice places Eclipse�s hand on Tewyn�s shoulder as she stands behind him. �I am so relieved to see you.�
Tewyn looks up, �Awww, and here I didn�t know you cared, Eclipse�Want a manly hug?�
Valrash walks back into the camp carrying an arm load of wood and sets it down next to the fire, then sits down.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder watches Katie an Kyra part then decides to follow Kyra, �Good night sleep?�
Katie returns to the others, still looking uncomfortable.
Arwyn shakes her head, �I�quelin Mori�Quessier naa ba Mori�Quessir.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Patience, m�lady...he may be useful,� Sabir sighs, then drops the curtain of the tent.
Kyra shakes her head. �I think I was laying on a stick.�
Vin_Da_DM: �A stick? Sounded more than a stick when you woke up,� Stryder smirks some looking at Kyra.
Arwyn: �You know very well�that patience is not one of my strong suits.�
Luna_Faline sees the tent close and looks mumbles to Syne, �I think we may have more trouble in store than just those wolves.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head, �I�ll pass on the hug for now.�
Tewyn turns his head, nose in the air, �N�handa Inyahuan.�
Kyra gasps and turns to try to glare at Stryder, but ends up laughing anyway.
Clarice: �Tewyn, I want more than a manly hug,� chuckles. �Its me...Clarice.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne shrugs, �I hope not, we�ve got enough as is.�
Tewyn eyes Eclipse up and down. �Umm...dear, did you decide you needed a play toy of your own?�
Katie sits and scowls at the ground.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks over at Katie, �Think I should say something to her?�
Arwyn: �Just keep him away from me��
Luna_Faline shakes my head ,�We may need to keep them separated,� glancing at Tewyn.
Tewyn: �I�ll be fine, just so she doesn�t run her mouth too much...but that�s asking a lot for a light walker.�
Kyra shakes her head again. �I think I embarrassed her pretty badly. Not to mention you.�
Clarice chuckles, �I didn�t have much choice in the matter.�
Tabris shifts his gaze from Claron, in Cara�s body, over to Claron�s actual body. �She said she didn�t feel good��
Arwyn: �And out of the range of my bow,� as her Elven ears pick up his comment.
Tewyn: �Auta miqula Sundo, light walker.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I suggest we concentrate on the task at hand, moral differences can wait,� Sabir says to Arwyn in a soft but stern voice.
Luna_Faline moves to sit next to Eclipse in Clarice�s body and whispurrs softly. �You doing alright in there, honey?� watching his body next to Tewyn.
DracBlue chuckles, �Looks like I�m not the only one who hates Drows around here.� Laughter coming from Tabris� body.
Claron smiles as she follows Tabris� gaze, �We both know why....I have a feeling she has not figured it herself.�
^Shinta: �So who decided to play musical souls?� looking up from the fire.
Vin_Da_DM: �Fine, but difficult to keep my powers from hurting this body,� Eclipse sighs and glances over at Clarice in his body, commenting to himself more than Luna this time, �I should tell her��
Katie picks up a twig and begins to draw in the dirt.
Valrash says to Shinta, �Look at the nametags, you know the people.�
Tabris: �Do you think this whole body switching thing will cause problems?� Tabris raises a brow in his questioning to Claron.
Luna_Faline looks back at Eclipse worriedly, �Tell her what?�
^Shinta: �Well, why didn�t someone tell me we were going to be playing �A day in the life of.�� But then again, I do it daily.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Something important, and another reason to get ourselves switched back as quickly as possible,� Eclipse gives Luna a look of concern, then makes his way towards Clarice.
Arwyn shakes her head.
Valrash says, �It was Cara�s idea apparently.�
Vin_Da_DM: Lord Weston crosses the campsite and stands outside the tent Arwyn and Sabir are in, �Lady Arwyn?�
Valrash smiles, �But�it is fun to watch the musical bodies game being played.�
K^K: Katie and Kyra�s eyes track Lord Weston subtly.
Claron looks into Tabris� eyes, �Oh, I have no idea...I certainly hope not,� her voice full of concern.
^Shinta: �Taking some getting used to I�m sure.�
Luna_Faline follows Eclipse praying silently rubbing the amulet, �Oh Goddess, we need you.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse taps Clarice on the shoulder gently, �May I have a word?�
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir looks over at Arwyn, then stands up pulling the curtain aside to look at Lord Weston, �Yes?�
DracBlue motions Cara to sit with him.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston nods, �We can begin finalizing the plan whenever you and the Warriors are ready.�
Katie sighs and goes back to drawing. Kyra turns her attention back to Stryder.
Clarice turns her head and finds she is looking at herself, �Yes, Eclipse?� a hint of puzzlement in her voice.
Vin_Da_DM: �Not sure what to say to her,� Stryder looks over at Katie then back to Kyra
Arwyn smiles as she sees Lord Weston, �Yes��
Vin_Da_DM: �In private, if possible,� Eclipse answers Clarice.
Kyra: �I think right now she�s wishing she wasn�t in a male body more than ever.� Kyra�s eyes twinkle as she sneaks another glance at the handsome Lord Weston.
Clarice begins to feel like something is wrong, �If you think its best. Although, I can�t understand what you would have to say to me that can�t be heard by Tewyn and the others.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head, �It is better they do not know, some would worry,� Sighing he walks towards the edge of the campsite away from the others and looks back at Clarice.
Arwyn nods her head, �I have been ready...can�t speak for the Warriors, however.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, I can agree with wanting to be in a different body,� Stryder says to Kyra, watching Katie from the corner of his vision.
Katie notices Shinta sitting by the fire and sighs deeply again.
Clarice feels a knot growing in her stomach, �If you will excuse me, Tewyn, I best see what it is that Eclipse has to say to me.� Turns and joins Eclipse by the campsite�s edge. �What is it, Eclipse?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Very well,� Weston nods again, then glances out at the camp, �I shall ask them, you may head to my tent and view the map of the pass if you desire.�
Tewyn nods, �Go ahead...sounds like its best to hear him out.�
Arwyn gives Lord Weston a quick nod, �Thank you. Shall we, Sabir?�
^Shinta raises head, looking around, �Hmmm, if you will excuse me a moment�� stands walking over to Stryder�s body.
Cara shakes her head at Drac, feeling somewhat safer sitting next to her father at the moment.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at her, his expression a mix of concern and regret, �To put it simply, without my powers regulating it that body will start to degrade, and eventually die,� Eclipse sighs heavily, turning to the side, �I can fix it temporarily, but doing so could damage your body��
^Shinta: �So, what you drawing, Emerald eyes?�
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir nods, letting Arwyn exit first, despite their bodies being switched.
Katie looks at the ground, then up at Shinta. �Hearts, apparently.� She shrugs.
DracBlue gives her a glance and nods.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston moves over to where a majority of your group is, studying everyone for a moment he speaks up, �I trust everyone had a decent night�s rest?�
Shinta: �Hearts, huh? Interesting thing to draw.�
DracBlue says, �Mostly.�
Luna_Faline inhales sharply and prays harder, �Oh Goddess, please hear me.�
Valrash just shrugs.
Katie: �Oh, just peachy.� Katie mutters darkly at Weston�s comment. Then she looks back at Shinta. �I suppose.�
Shadow remains silent polishing his armor.
Clarice�s eyes grow large, �Which body? This body? Or both?� Finally understanding why the body she is in feels like she slept on a bed of nails.
^Shinta kneels down, �I suppose so....Interesting though, not a single one broken,� smiling slightly to her.
Vin_Da_DM: �My body,� Eclipse says looking at her, �But fixing it, even temporarily, could hurt yours.�
Katie raises an eyebrow. �Just lopsided. Fitting, I suppose.� She stretches.
Claron smiles at Lord Weston, �I slept rather well myself.�
Katie: �I never did have any talent with drawing.� Katie says through a yawn.
Vin_Da_DM: �Good, good,� nodding Lord Weston looks around again, �When you are ready we shall discuss the plan to retake the pass.�
Clarice: �Oh shit��
^Shinta stands, �We all carry a different heart to love with, so they all can be lopsided�I guess...and your hearts look fine to me,� heading back toward the others.
Luna_Faline moves closer to Clarice and Eclipse. �Can I keep it healed until we can fix it?�
Vin_Da_DM: �I am sorry...I did not expect this situation to occur,� Eclipse shifts his gaze to Clarice, his expression melancholy.
Vin_Da_DM: Turning his attention to Luna Eclipse shakes his head, �Unfortunately, you cannot heal the damage that was done before I took the body. Only minor injuries.�
Clarice: �Well�can she keep me�us�healed?� looking back and forth between Luna and Eclipse.
Vin_Da_DM: �Clarice�s body, however, you may be able to heal if I use my powers to fix my body,� Eclipse sighs a bit, looking between Clarice and Luna.
Katie watches Shinta�s retreating figure, �Nice talking to you.� She scowls and stabs her twig into the nearest heart.
Luna_Faline nods sadly, �I see,� takes a breath trying to swallow around the huge lump in her throat. �Maybe, doesn�t sound like you believe I can.�
Clarice frowns, �If you do a temporary fix, what will this mean?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder moves over to Katie and crouches next to her looking at the hearts, �You doing okay?�
DracBlue gets up and walks over to Katie then sits down. �Looks like you could use a friend at the moment.�
Clarice adds, �What price will you pay, Eclipse?�
Katie: �Oh, I�m great. Life is just a bowl of cherries.� She growls, then instantly looks contrite. �Love sucks goldfish balls. I wouldn�t recommend it,� she says softly.
Claron looks at Tab, �I am ready anytime you are to discuss the plans of retaking the pass.�
DracBlue looks down at the stabbed heart, �Well, for what its worth. I�m sorry. But what is a cherry and what is a goldfish?�
Katie raises an eyebrow at Drac, shakes her head and looks at Stryder. So how you holdin� up, laddie?�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse closes his eyes for a moment then looks at Claron and Luna, �I am not sure what will happen...I have never run across this problem. Taking a dying body allows my powers to fill the damaged pieces, but your body is healthy, so I do not know what my powers will do if I use them.�
Cara nudges her father, �Where did you end up and how did you find us?�
Tabris nods, �I�m ready as I ever am.�
DracBlue sighs, �Well, if am here if you want to talk. I hope you know that.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Fine, I guess. I don�t have much experience in being a woman,� Stryder smiles in an attempt to lighten his mood.
Tewyn: �Shinta and I remained on the path, but luckily he had some guides to help find all of you again.�
Luna_Faline looks from one to the other, �How much time do we have?�
Katie pats Stryder�s hand. �Yer doin� just fine, dear. You�ve even got a rather cute swish to your ass when you walk. I never knew I looked that good from behind.� Her eyes sparkle a bit and she smiles, picking up the lightened tone from him.
Cara: �I see. I am glad you found us�� Shaking her head, �Something must be wrong with Claron�s body, or is it normal to feel like you are going to be sick all the time?�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at Clarice, �If you are just feeling it now, I would guess two days, maybe three.�
Tewyn: �Sick all the time, huh...Or is mostly in the mornings?�
Clarice: �Oh great��
Vin_Da_DM: �I�m not sure whether to be complimented or disturbed by the fact you were looking at your own ass,� Stryder questions her.
Katie grins, �I wasn�t gawking, but it was hard to miss when you walk in front of me.�
Luna_Faline: �Do you want to try it now? Or wait until it gets worse?�
Kyra watches Katie and Stryder, then looks over at Shinta, before returning her gaze to Katie. She sighs and shakes her head sadly.
Cara: �Actually...I don�t know...I felt sick when the switch happened, up until Luna gave me this root to nibble on, and then when I woke up this morning....I felt it again and had to eat some more of this root,� showing Tewyn the nibbled on root.
Vin_Da_DM: �Now, the worse it gets the more power I would have to use to fix it, and the more damage I could cause,� Eclipse looks over at Luna then directly at Clarice, �But it is up to you.�
Tewyn: �Hmmm, I see�.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne wanders around the camp, making his way into Weston�s tent eventually, looking over at Sabir and Arwyn he nods, �Planning the hike, I presume?�
Luna_Faline nods and waits for Clarice to decide rubbing the amulet even more.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir glances over at Syne in Luna�s body, �Yes. If we do this right, we can catch them in an ambush from both sides.�
Clarice looks at Luna then back at Eclipse with a frightened look in her eyes. �Then I suppose we shouldn�t put it off.�
Luna_Faline nods at Clarice and looks at Eclipse, �So, what do you have to do?�
Katie leans back against the tree, closing her eyes, lost in thought.
Arwyn glances at Syne, �Yes, we are....It would be nice if the rest of the Warriors would make an appearance,� her impatience sounding through her words.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston makes his way back to his tent after visiting the soldiers in the camp, looking at Sabir, Arwyn and Syne as he moves to an empty spot near the head of the table.
Vin_Da_DM: �Just heal Clarice�s body while I do this,� Eclipse nods to Luna then turns his attention to Clarice, �Are you ready?�
Valrash looks at the lady elf having joined them without being noticed. �Or you just need to find some patience. You know, I thought your people held it in high regard.�
Clarice manages a weak nod, �I guess.�
Arwyn looks at Valrash with contempt in her eyes.
Luna_Faline lays a hand on Clarice�s body and gets ready to concentrate on healing it as Eclipse works on his body.
Valrash smiles, �Now�now, Miss trapped in a man�s body. I was just making an observation�was not meant in a harsh demeanor.�
Shadow walks into the tent and sits down listening.
Clarice close her eyes, praying this works without any real damaging consequences.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse extends a hand and lays it flat against his body�s chest, looking at Clarice he speaks softly, �As soon as you feel it, push it back in your mind, think of it as a heart or lung.�
Arwyn ignores Valrash, �Shall we proceed, Lord Weston? The sooner we finalize the preparations...the better.�
DracBlue gets up, �Well, I suppose I should go into the tent.� And he walks into the tent.
Vin_Da_DM: Closing his eyes Eclipse opens them a few seconds later, his usual soft blue glow of the eyes emanating from Clarice�s body. Clarice feels like a heavy wind is hitting her.
Luna_Faline concentrates hard on sending my healing powers into Clarice�s body. Focusing on the whole body, instead of one area.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna can sense her healing flowing through Clarice�s body, and the slight push Eclipse�s powers are making against it. A visible shadow pulse leaves Clarice�s hand and sinks into Eclipse�s chest. Removing his hand Eclipse breathes heavily as he glances at Clarice, �Push it back��
Clarice feels like a heavy wind is pushing against her and instantly tries pushing it back in her mind, thinking of it as a heart or lung as Eclipse asked her do.
Vin_Da_DM: Clarice feels the wind subside and dissipate, in the back of her mind she can hear faint distant voices whispering, but they seem neither dangerous nor out of place.
Vin_Da_DM: �If you wish, the Warriors will be traveling through the mine. You may go with them or with my forces up the pass.� Weston quickly eyes Drac, Val and Shadow, then looks back to Arwyn.
Clarice sighs as she feels the wind subside and the distant whispering she hears ever so faintly, her eyelids flutter open.
Luna_Faline prays to Selenia the whole time for help. Finally removes her hand from Clarice�s arm and wipes the moisture from Syne�s face. Whispurrs, �Did it work?�
Valrash and Shadow shrug, but DracBlue says, �I�ll be traveling with Cara.�
Vin_Da_DM: �That should do for now,� Eclipse recovers his normal breathing, �Hopefully we can return to normal soon.�
Arwyn nods her head then looks at Sabir, �Well, as far as I am concerned I�d rather travel with Lord Weston�s forces. What would be your opinion on that matter, Sabir.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Where you go, I follow m�lady,� Sabir bows his head to Arwyn.
Clarice nods her head, �Not soon enough, if you ask me.�
Luna_Faline takes a deep breath to calm myself and tells them, �We need to get back and join Lord Weston in planning an ambush on those wolves.�
Clarice: �Yes, the sooner we deal with the matters at hand, the sooner we can seek out help to switch us all back,� begins to head back towards the campsite her eyes seeking out Tewyn.
Kyra slips off to the woods for a much needed moment of privacy.
Luna_Faline watches Clarice walk away, �You might ought to keep Tewyn away from Arwyn.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I will prepare my forces then,� Weston looks at those around the table, �My scout will lead the Warriors to the mine.�
Clarice replies back over her shoulder, �Will try��
Luna_Faline turns back to Eclipse. �Now, how much damage is really done?�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse eyes Luna, �Little...nothing that will harm her in the long run,�
Clarice approaches Tewyn and Cara, �Think we should head for Lord Weston�s tent now,� then whispers to Tewyn, �I�ll tell you all about what Eclipse needed to say to me...later...when we have some time alone.�
Tewyn: �Ok, if you say so.�
Vin_Da_DM: Weston exits the tent and moves over to a group of soldiers. After they talk most of them head off to gather weapons and equipment, one nods to Weston and heads over near the fire pit waiting for your group.
Luna_Faline looks down at the form I�ve currently taken, �I think I�ll change back to me for this meeting, I just can�t get used to walking without my heels on.� Concentrates on shifting into my own form with my old warn cloak and black boots.
Kyra lets out a startled scream as she hears something crash through the bushes towards her.
Katie looks up, �Kyra?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder turns his head towards the woods, �Kyra!� Turning he dashes in the direction of her voice.
Kyra pelts through the trees back to camp, tripping over an exposed root and scraping her face
Cara runs over towards Kyra as she falls flat on her face, �Kyra? What the hell�?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Kyra...? Um.�� Stryder pauses noticing her on the ground with her panties showing, �I...er...you screamed?�
Luna_Faline ears perk up just as the transformation is completed. �That didn�t sound good,� looking around the woods for trouble.
DracBlue heads out the tent to find out what happened.
Cara tries to shield Kyra�s bare ass, from Stryder�s eyes.
Tabris raises a brow, �What�s all the commotion?�
DracBlue points to Kyra.
Clarice: �I say so��
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder turns to look at something else, �So, you�re okay now, right?�
Claron shakes her head, �I haven�t got a clue, but from the sound of it�you�d think someone was running bare assed through the woods.�
Kyra scrambles to right her clothing, her raw scraped face flushing a deep red that is visible even beneath the blood welling on her cheeks.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks over and notices her cheeks, �Kyra...you�re bleeding.�
Cara looks at Stryder, �You�re looking at the wrong set of cheeks!�
Kyra mumbles under her breath, �I�m fine.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder nods, �If you say so...but Kyra. Little hearts?� He smirks at her slyly.
Cara bursts out laughing.
Kyra glares, �Well my dragon ones are in the wash,� she shoots back.
Katie wanders up, �Did I miss a panty raid?� she grins.
Kyra flips her the finger.
Katie�s grin grows, �Well, I�m in the right body, but�.�
Kyra: �You BITCH!� Kyra stomps off.
DracBlue sighs and walks to the group, �When your done admiring the view�.�
Katie: �Was it something I said?� Katie shrugs and wanders after her. �Oh, cool yer jets, kid.�
Cara: ~Obviously Stryder�s body felt otherwise.~
Vin_Da_DM: The scout waiting at the fire-pit shouts out to you, �You guys going to stand around all day?�
Luna_Faline looks at Eclipse, �I spent most of last night thinking. What if those wolves are trying to get into the mine?�
Cara: �I think�he means us.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shrugs, �Only way to find out is to see for ourselves.�
Katie comes back to camp, sighing, �Oh hell, Kyra. I didn�t mean to piss you off that badly.�
Kyra shrugs.
Tewyn stands and looks over to Shinta, �Come on, Shaman, before we lose them again�� following behind Shinta toward the guide.
Luna_Faline heads back to the camp with Eclipse, �You know what that mine is for? We can�t let them get that ore.�
Clarice and Cara quicken their stride to keep up with Tewyn.
Katie: �I was just having a bit of fun.� Katie wanders over to the tree again, kicking dirt over the hearts, all save the one impaled with a stick. �Fitting, I suppose.�
Claron walks beside Tabris to join the others.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout interjects on Luna�s conversation, �The mine is collecting dust and cobwebs, it�s been mined out. The ore they�re after is deeper in the mountains.�
Luna_Faline nods at the scout, �We still can�t let them get it. It�s one of the few advantages we have right now.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Agreed, you guys ready to go, it�s a bit of a hike but if we keep a good pace we should reach the ambush point on time.� The scout says plainly as she secures the longsword sheathed at her side.
Arwyn stands next to Sabir, �Finally...the Warriors appear to be gathering together.�
Katie takes the stick and scrapes something into the tree, cocking her head, she nods, satisfied, then turns and walks away.
Vin_Da_DM: �Hopefully they will make it through the mines safely,� Sabir nods to Arwyn shifting his glance to the geared up soldiers gathering near them.
Clarice: �We�re always ready.�
DracBlue grabs a few weapons and hands them to Tabris. �You better eat this if you want your strength for the battle.�
Claron: �In more ways then one, too...normally,� whispers to Tabris.
Tabris raises a brow looking at the weapons, �Ahh yes, forgot about that. Mmm...swords and daggers, the other white metal.�
DracBlue smiles, �Naw, daggers are dark metal,� and chuckles.
Arwyn: �Hopefully...so far, their reputation is similar to falling into a bucket of manure and coming out smelling like a flower.�
Tabris: �Can�t believe you eat these things,� Tabris starts eating the weapons, �Probably don�t suffer iron deficiency.�
DracBlue hands him a bag. �And don�t leave the things we talked about. Could do something to the people send them to dig up everything round here�and we don�t want that now, do we?�
Luna_Faline notices Kyra�s cheek and steps over to her. �That explains the noise in the woods,� reaching out a paw to heal her.
Tabris: �Okay�� Tabris shrugs, �I�ll be so glad when I�m back in my own body.�
Claron smiles slyly. �So will I��
Vin_Da_DM: The scout moves towards the edge of the tents, �All right, enough doddling. If you�re coming, follow me.� Looking over her shoulder she begins heading for a trail leading up the ridge away from the camp.
Luna_Faline pauses by the weapons tent and grabs a pair of sais. �This will have to do until I get home,� tucking them into my belt and heading back to the group.
Shadow and Valrash follow him, but DracBlue walks over to Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne grabs a two-handed sword and sheath, sliding it over his back.
Shadow grabs a couple throwing axes a couple throwing daggers two regular daggers and one extra hand to hand axe.
Clarice grabs a sword and its sheath as she passes the weapons tent.
Tabris looks in the weapons tent then back at Claron, �What�s your fancy, my dear?�
Claron: �Any boomerangs?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder grabs a pair of dirks then follows Eclipse and Syne as they head up after the scout.
Katie falls in behind Stryder, grabbing a sword as she passes. She looks at Syne�s back and sighs.
Tabris: �Boomerangs, no�� Tabris looks back in the tent.
Luna_Faline runs and catches up to Syne and Eclipse, �Let�s hope we can get this over with quickly.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Let�s hope,� Eclipse says, lifting a hand he concentrates on making an ice weapon.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout looks back as she continues along the hiking trail, �Watch your footing, some of the rocks are loose.�
Katie: �It seems I�ve lost most ALL my friends, now.� Katie whispers, a tear sliding down her cheek.
Katie: �Told youuuuu,� comes the unwelcome whisper in Katie�s head.
DracBlue smiles walking next to Cara. �Sorry, still got me,� and sticks Tab�s tongue out, jokingly.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne looks over his shoulder at Katie, �Lost �em? I�m still here, Kat.�
Katie gapes for a moment. Then she shakes it off, sighing again.
Clarice watches Eclipse. making an ice weapon, �If you find yourself getting angry when concentrating on making ice, Eclipse...well...you should end up with the ice shockwave.�
Valrash turns to Katie, �She might be trouble.� He sighs to himself.
Claron looks over her shoulder back at Cara. �Oh, I hope she is careful.�
DracBlue says, �Are you ready to go, Cara? We have to get moving.�
Cara manages a smile at Drac.
Kyra trudges along, glaring at Katie�s back.
DracBlue smiles back.
Vin_Da_DM: �Well, I�ll try not to get upset near any of you,� Eclipse smiles lightly after creating an icy katar.
Shadow chuckles, �As long as Luna doesn�t get hurt, I don�t see that being a problem for you.�
Katie: �Oh, I know you are, Rogue. And I�m grateful.� Katie says low.
Luna_Faline walks along trying not the think about the possibility of losing Eclipse again or forever. Finding it near impossible, I grasp the amulet and begin begging Selenia for help silently again.
Claron says nonchalantly to Tabris. �I wonder if I concentrate like I normally do...if I can manage Cara�s mage fire?�
Tabris: �Maybe, personally I�d imagine being a human lighter,� Tabris shrugs to Claron, �Just gotta find the switch to turn it on.�
DracBlue keeps smiling and says, �Should we get going, Cara? Or do you want to straggle behind to keep talking about what we were talking about before?�
Cara: �We probably should keep up with the others. I do not wish to continue last night�s conversation.�
Katie overtakes Stryder and moves to walk next to Syne. �I haven�t been good company lately. I�m sorry. It�s just�.� she looks at Shinta�s back. �Really difficult to hold on to myself, these days.�
DracBlue says, �Alright then, think of me as your own personal bodyguard then,� chuckles, and then starts thinking as he walks with Cara.
Claron nods her head, �You are probably right...that does make more sense.�
Vin_Da_DM: �No need to apologize, this whole body switching thing is rough on everyone,� Syne says, noticing her glance but shifting his gaze up the mountain.
Katie gives him a tremulous smile, �Yeah. The body switching has been difficult�� she looks at her feet.
Clarice wishes she could have had a few moments alone with Tewyn to tell him about what has happened to her while in Eclipse�s body.
Katie: �Sometimes�� Katie shakes her head. �Nevermind,� muttering.
Luna_Faline looks up the mountain hoping for a quick trip.
Katie sighs again.
Vin_Da_DM: As the path continues to run up the mountainside you clear the fog layer. The bright suns shine off the snowy peaks stretching to either side of your path. Behind you the fog disappears halfway over the forest, giving view to the vast green treetops.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout guiding you points up ahead as the path rounds the top of the mountain, disappearing into a small gully carved into the rock. The winding gully through cliffs is short, and opens out into large plateau. A ruined structure ahead would appear to be the mining outpost...
Vin_Da_DM: The building is reminiscent of ancient Asian architecture, despite it being old and in a state of decline. Most of the outposts walls are intact, save a large break on the northern edge, apparently the result of cliff erosion. The heavy iron-bound wooden doors rest idly while the rest of the outpost creaks quietly with the cold breeze.
Shadow chuckles, �Looks like one of the old Dwarven mining operations,� and he sighs seeing the erosion of the building.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout plods through the snow heading for the outpost�s entrance. She glances back over her shoulder to look back.
DracBlue looks at Cara and sighs, �You know�you probably shouldn�t use your powers here, we don�t need melting on a large scale.�
Luna_Faline sniffs the air as I follow the scout toward the mine entrance.
Vin_Da_DM: The cold mountain air brings the scents of fresh snow and mountain wildlife.
Valrash looks around.
Vin_Da_DM: �Looks pretty old, from the design I�d say at most a thousand years,� Eclipse says as he follows along, studying the outpost.
Cara, still in Claron�s body, looks at Drac, �I believe�it will not be an issue where I am concerned...at least not at this point in time.�
Luna_Faline looks around at the group and nods, �At least.�
DracBlue chuckles, �Heh, sorry. I forgot about our predicament right now.�
Vin_Da_DM: The snow seems to thin near the edge of the outpost. The scout lifts a hand motioning everyone to wait, then draws her blade and slinks inside the outpost.
Tabris pauses and glances over at Claron, �Little cold, damn wings need to come with heaters.�
Luna_Faline draws her sais and waits at the edge of the snow.
Clarice looks around at the others in the group when it dawns on her that she doesn�t see any sign of Tewyn or Shinta.
Katie looks at the structure and shivers in the cold.
DracBlue looks at Tabris and says, �Take flight, it will warm you up.�
Luna_Faline shakes my head. �No, that might show the wolves where we are.�
Tabris: �You kidding? It�s colder up there,� Tabris shakes his head, �I�d prefer to freeze my ass off on the ground than in the air.�
Vin_Da_DM: �At least some of us don�t have to worry,� Syne says glancing at Luna in his body.
DracBlue says, �Your body pumps about six times the amount of blood when your flying. You wouldn�t get cold at that rate.�
Claron: �If we were in our own bodies, I�d gladly warm you up,� chuckles lightly.
Kyra rubs her arms briskly, her face still sullen.
DracBlue scowls at Claron, but says nothing.
Luna_Faline tilts my head and looks at Syne, �See, I keep telling ya�ll�that fur is good.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Says the walking Zippo�no offense, Cara,� Stryder smirks as he brushes his foot in the snow.
Valrash makes a fireball and sets it up to follow Tab, �Stop complaining, bird boy.�
Tabris: �Hey! Watch the feathers man, I ain�t your KFC!� Tabris scowls at Valrash, shooing the fireball away to warm his hands.
DracBlue laughs, �They�re flame retardant.�
Luna_Faline looks at Tabris, �KFC?�
Katie chortles.
Tabris: �Fast food from Earth...some crazy old geezer sold it, not sure about the details,� Tabris shrugs, �I didn�t pay much attention in history class.�
DracBlue shrugs, �If your really cold and don�t want to fly, wrap your wings around you. They don�t get too cold.�
Vin_Da_DM: The scout appears on the ramparts of the fort, waving you inside she quickly disappears again down into the outpost.
Katie: �Finger lickin� good�� Katie murmurs, �The more gutter-minded could have a field day with THAT one.�
Valrash smiles and licks a finger, �Mmmmm, chicken.�
Claron giggles. �I suppose you are including yourself in that, as well��
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head softly and sighs under his breath, �Mortals��
Luna_Faline sees the scout up top and nods, �Let�s go,� motioning the Warriors to enter the outpost.
Shadow shrugs, �I�m a mortal and I do not comment on these things.�
Katie turns an innocent look on Claron. �I dunno what you could mean, ma�am�� she bats her lashes, grinning.
Vin_Da_DM: Noticing the scout Stryder starts heading in, keeping pace with Kyra as he does, �You ok?�
Luna_Faline enters the outpost and looks around.
Kyra: �C-cold.� Kyra shrugs, her cheeks pink from cold and the remains of embarrassment.
Vin_Da_DM: �Licking fingers and chickens...positively fowl if you ask me,� Syne chuckles lightly and glances at Katie.
DracBlue keeps walking a few steps ahead of Cara in a proper bodyguard position.
Katie swats Syne, rolling her eyes and groaning. �That was terrible.�
Valrash walks into the tunnels and rolls his eyes.
Claron laughs heartily as she sees Katie batting Stryder�s lashes. �That just looks down right silly seeing my son batting his lashes.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Couldn't help myself, sarcasm becomes me.� Syne smirks as they head into outpost.
Shadow walks into the outpost.
Katie grins and keeps walking.
Vin_Da_DM: Inside the outpost is debris covered by layers of fresh snow atop solid snow. A rickety shack looking a pin-prick away from breaking to pieces sits against the wall opposite the broken wall. The scout is standing near it looking inside.
Luna_Faline moves over to the scout, �Is that the mine entrance?�
Shadow walks over to the rickety shack, takes a needle out and pricks the shack.
Vin_Da_DM: �Looks like it,� the scout says as she loosens her pack and pulls a torch out. Lighting it with a quick burst of magic as she enters the shack and takes a few steps down a stairwell.
Valrash smacks Shadow and heads into the shack.
Luna_Faline watches the girl go down the stairs and follows her carefully.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne raises a brow at Shadow then takes a quick glance around the outpost before heading for the shack.
Clarice shakes her head, looking around one last time, before entering the shack.
DracBlue quietly asks Cara, �So when do we finish our little talk?�
Shadow chuckles at how weak Valrash is and heads into the shack.
Kyra stretches her arms above her head for a moment, arching her back, before resuming her huddled posture, walking carefully over the snow.
Cara: �When Hell freezes over�� then follows Shadow into the shack.
DracBlue says, �Ok, then next week it is.�
Vin_Da_DM: �I don�t have anymore�so you�ll either have to stick close, or find your own lights.� Nodding the scout continues further down the stairwell, eventually the wood and stone transitions into a large tunnel carved directly out of the mountain. The tunnel is wide enough for a mining cart with a person on either side, but is about seven feet in height.
Valrash says, �But Hell is currently frozen.�
Cara sighs heavily, � A might pushy, aren�t ya?�
DracBlue says, �If I don�t talk to someone about what happened...I don�t know what I might do.� says quietly.
Claron enters the shack, with Tabris following behind her.
Luna_Faline shrugs, �I have decent night vision.�
DracBlue says to Tabris, �Grab someone to lead you there. Our bodies are horrid in the darkness.�
Cara: �Well, I suppose...I could hear what you have to say.��
Vin_Da_DM: �Mining tunnels...didn�t think I�d be seeing any again,� Syne comments mostly to himself as he looks down the tunnel.
DracBlue says, �Not now, too many people listening.�
Cara nods her head and remains silent.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse takes a place next to Luna, reaching over he takes her hand, �Well then if it gets dark, I�ll have good eyes to lead me.�
Katie stumbles a bit in the dark, �Damn!� she hisses under her breath.
Tabris looks behind him, then over to Valrash, �Think my little lost puppy of a fireball could be in front of me, I could see better.�
Valrash turns on his fire around his body revealing a torch for the group.
Luna_Faline takes Eclipse�s hand, but feels the softer fingers of Clarice. �Always, Babe, always,� I purr quietly.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder smiles at Kyra pointing to Valrash, �Now all we need is marshmallows.�
Luna_Faline watches the floor ahead of us, �Marshmallows?�
Claron chuckles, �And hot dogs!�
Valrash looks back at Stryder and says, �I always could use you for the fire instead.�
Kyra finally smiles, nodding, �And graham crackers and chocolate��
Luna_Faline purrumbles, �Chocolate.��
Vin_Da_DM: The scout continues to lead you down the mining tunnel, turning a corner she lets out a heavy sigh as she takes a wide step over some bleached white bones.
DracBlue creates another obsidian bar and hands it to Tabris.
Shadow looks at the bleached white bones, inspecting them.
Tabris: �Now�now, children, play nicely,� Tabris wags a finger at Valrash, then nods to Drac as he starts to munch the bar.
Luna_Faline steps over the bones in turn, �Well, that�s not a good sign.�
Clarice: �Looks like someone lost their way,� stepping over the bones.
Vin_Da_DM: The bones are broken, but in a fairly good sized grouping, indicating that they were probably a body at one time, but what kind is impossible to tell.
Kyra shudders at the sight of the bones, instinctively stepping closer to Stryder.
DracBlue sighs, �I can�t wait to get back to my body. I miss the taste of metal, and I don�t think this body could handle it, though.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder wraps an arm around Kyra as he walks with her around the bones.
Vin_Da_DM: �Could be wildlife,� Eclipse shrugs glancing back at the bones.
Shadow continues on.
Luna_Faline asks the scout, �Do you have idea how far this tunnel goes?�
Vin_Da_DM: A distant but echoing roar emanates from deeper in the mine. The scout reactively tightens the grip on her sword but continues on.
Valrash dims the fire just enough to see for the group, but not enough to alert the enemy.
Cara: �That doesn�t sound good,� as she hears the echoing roar and stumbles over the bones.
Vin_Da_DM: �If it�s anything like the map I was shown, it should fork eventually. If we take the left tunnel, we should reach an outcropping near the summit. They used it to transport the ore to traveling caravans.� The scout replies to Luna without looking back.
DracBlue catches Cara, �Careful now.�
Tabris: �Always with the dangerous monsters in dark cramped places�� Tabris sighs and looks at Claron, �Just rank and file, and it�d be like the old days.�
Luna_Faline listens to the roar. �Oh lovely, let�s hope that came from the right fork.�
Claron: �It would indeed...and then when we returned, we could enjoy the roar of Mr. Sunshine himself.�
Katie growls, �Let�s not go there��
Vin_Da_DM: The scout sidesteps a decaying pile of bones near one wall, a rusty mining pick a few feet away from it. Looking ahead she sighs, �Damn caves.� She points her sword towards a overturned mining cart and a cave-in blocking almost the entire tunnel.
Shadow looks at the pick, �Hey, Tab�look a snack.�
Luna_Faline looks at the cave in and growls, �Never as easy as we�d like.�
Claron sighs, �Sorry, Katie...but...I miss him�and would have loved to seen the look on his face when he was formally introduced to Stryder��
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks ahead and replies to Luna�s comment, �But oh, if it was��
Katie: �Hmph!� Katie sighs.
Tabris: �Miss him...you�re the only one who does, dear.� Tabris looks over at Katie.
Kyra whispers, �I get the feeling I should be glad I missed that particular portion of your adventure.�
Vin_Da_DM Syne looks around the group, then at the rocks, �Looks like we�re gonna have to clear them.�
Katie nods. �Oh, there are times I miss�well�nevermind,� and falls into brooding thoughts.
Luna_Faline nods at Syne, �Apparently, unless Claron wants to give it a try.�
DracBlue looks at the rocks and picks one up, then asks, �Tabris, can you cut this in half for me?�
Tabris swipes the pick from the ground, looking at the rock in Drac�s hand he shrugs, �Dunno, can I?�
DracBlue looks at him. �If you can, you can clear this path for us. If your claws can go through it, its usually safe to eat it.�
Claron: �Some things never change�Others didn�t know him like I did,� while remembering Uncle�s shape-shifting for her as a child.
Vin_Da_DM: �Listen, eating all the time is bad enough, but I am not going to eat us a way through a damn cave in,� Tabris grumbles.
DracBlue looks at Tabris and frowns, but says nothing.
Tabris walks over to the cave in and begins moving the rocks by hand. The scout stands to one side and watches.
Katie joins Tab, giving him a small nervous smile, but showing she�s trying to overcome the past.
DracBlue creates obsidian supports for the area.
Shadow starts moving the bigger rocks.
Luna_Faline peers thru the hole they�re creating.
Kyra walks over and starts hefting rocks as well.
Vin_Da_DM: Ahead the tunnel is dusty, from the look of things the cave-in happened only a few hours ago. Luna notices some tracks mixed with drag marks in the dirt that disappear ahead.
Luna_Faline nudges the scout and points to the tracks. �I really don�t like the looks of that, this mess was done on purpose.�
Tabris: After clearing enough rocks to allow passage Tabris dusts his hands off, "Good teamwork guys."
Kyra sniffles. �So much for my fuckin� manicure�� she quips
Katie: �Watch your mouth.� Katie says absently.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout past the cave in and crouches next to the marks to look at them. Shaking her head she looks at Luna, �Don�t think so. These look like animal tracks.�
Kyra: �Kiss my ass.� Kyra shrugs.
Tabris: �She had time for a manicure and I can�t even get a few minutes for a haircut," Tabris sighs a bit with a light smirk.
Luna_Faline moves thru the mess and kneels down next to the scout, �But we have faced creatures of all kinds,� sniffing the area for a clue as well.
DracBlue looks at Tabris, �Don�t even think about it. I like my hair.�
Vin_Da_DM: The dust is thick, but Luna can smell the heavy scent of an animal mixed with a softer scent of blood.
Tabris shakes his head, �I meant my hair.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at the scout and Luna, �So what�s the survey say?�
DracBlue summons a pair of obsidian scissors and says, �We can always cut it now.�
Luna_Faline looks at Eclipse, �Some kind of animal is active in here and has a recent kill.�
Vin_Da_DM: �It�s a local animal, we can leave it alone and it will leave us alone.� The scout says as she stands and continues on watching the tracks as she walks.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder continues to follow the others, fiddling with one of the dirks he grabbed from the armory tent.
Luna_Faline stands up and follows the girl, �I hope your right.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Probably that roar we heard from before,� Eclipse says as he continues walking next to Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: The occasional drops of blood stain the dirt alongside the dragging tracks. Ahead the tunnel turns but a large hole in the right wall creates another tunnel.
Luna_Faline studies the tracks as we move, seeing the new tunnel, �Is this the fork, then?�
Clarice: �Guess whatever it was took a short cut��
Vin_Da_DM: The scout pauses as low growl sounds from the tunnel in the wall. A small dust cloud drifts into view from inside the passageway.
Luna_Faline stops and focuses on the tunnel, whispurring quietly, �Leave it alone and it will leave us alone?� slowly pulls my sais from my belt.
Kyra shivers and leans closer to Stryder.
Katie chews her lip, clasping and unclasping her hands.
DracBlue looks at where the noise came from.
Valrash looks in the same direction as Drac.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout moves ahead slowly, keeping her sword pointed toward the tunnel. Stopping directly in front of it she nods as she appears to be watching whatever is making the noise. Motions the others to follow she makes a sound to be quiet.
Shadow pulls an axe out and follows as quietly as possible.
Vin_Da_DM: As your near the side tunnel the growl is accompanied by a softer, but juicy eating sound.
Luna_Faline slips past the scout quickly, trying to ignore the sounds of the beast�s meal.
Tabris follows the others, but takes a quick glance to the tunnel, then looks back with some disgust.
Cara tries not to gag as she hears the juicy eating sounds.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Sounds like it�s enjoying it...~ Stryder says mentally as he follows but doesn�t look.
Valrash thinks out loud, �A little too much.�
Vin_Da_DM: The scout stays in her spot but keeps motioning everyone to continue further down the real tunnel.
Kyra: ~I think I�m going to throw up.~ Kyra clamps her lips shut.
Cara: ~Me too.~
Luna_Faline looks further up the tunnel as I lead Eclipse away from the beast.
Vin_Da_DM: The creature turns a gaze at the footsteps as everyone passes it�s burrow and stares for a moment with curiosity, but goes back to feasting on a warty corpse with a familiar trollish-color to it.
Vin_Da_DM: Once everyone has passed the scout turns and follows, walking fast enough to retake the lead position.
DracBlue looks over to the body, �Even I wouldn�t eat that,� he thinks to himself.
Claron: �For once...I am rather looking forward to a light at the end of the tunnel��
Vin_Da_DM: Once the group is far enough into the tunnel the scout looks over her shoulder, �I�ve seen that one before, it�s been in these mountains for ages. It�s relatively harmless to people.�
Clarice: �The operative word being �relatively���
Luna_Faline shivers, �To human people, anyway.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Most animals prefer to avoid people, but will defend themselves if they feel threatened,� Eclipse comments as he walks along.
Luna_Faline sighs, �Considering what�s going on outside right now, he should feel threatened.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Here we are.� The scout says as she stops at a large semi-circle cavern. Several mine carts with rocks in them sit in the center with wheel-ruts heading to each of the forks. Moving to the left path the scout looks behind, �If those creatures are truly after the ore in these mountains, stopping them is vital.�
Luna_Faline nods. �Yes, it�s very important. And I�m positive that is what they are after.�
Clarice: �Are you suggesting we make our stand here?�
Tabris: �I don�t think she means right here, Clarice,� Tabris looks over towards Clarice.
Vin_Da_DM: �I would agree, there isn�t anything else they would have interest in,� Eclipse states, giving a short nod as they take the left fork.
Clarice: �Well, I should hope not��
Luna_Faline looks around the cavern at all the mine carts, �Which one goes to the summit?�
Vin_Da_DM: �This way.� The scout points at the left fork, �A few turns and we should be there.�
Tabris: �Yo, Drac?� Tabris waves a wing in front of his body, �My body�s strictly a no zoning zone.�
DracBlue looks at Tabris and rolls his eyes.
Tabris: �Don�t you roll my eyes at me,� Tabris scowls at him, then looks at Claron and shakes his head.
Luna_Faline: �Well, I would love to get out of here myself.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Ditto, and these tunnels, too.� Syne smirks a bit.
DracBlue says, �Are you alright, Tabris? You seem like your tripping on something. You didn�t eat any funny looking mushrooms, did you?�
Claron: �So would I, and out of this body�and back into my own.�
Tabris: �Tripping, hah, wrong spouse on that one,� Tabris nudges Claron and laughs.
Claron laughs along with Tabris.
DracBlue says, �Hey, Shadow�you have any red stones?�
Shadow tosses a stone at Drac and he catches it.
DracBlue tosses the stone at Tabris. �Eat that.�
Katie smirks, �Got that right.�
Claron: �Don�t eat it. He�s up to something.�
Vin_Da_DM: After a few tunnel turns the scout douses her torch, letting the light from ahead guide instead.
Valrash douses himself.
Tabris turns it over in his hand and eyes it, �Eat it?� He looks over at Claron with a raised brow, �Why?�
DracBlue says, �Because�I don�t want to make any more obsidian for awhile. And it will sate your hunger until you get hurt.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse draws his sword as they near the opening.
Tabris: �You sure? Ain�t gonna do anything crazy to me?� Tabris looks at the red stone warily again.
Shadow says, �Hehehe, last time Drac ate one�he started singing while beating the shit out of a dwarf. Last time I saw him eat one.�
DracBlue says, �Geesh, that was what when I was like fifty.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks over at Kyra, �You ready for this? I�ll try to stay close.�
Claron: �Like make him hallucinate?�
Kyra looks grim, but nods.
Tabris: �Hmm�� Tabris turns it over again, �What do you think, Hun?�
DracBlue says, �No, more like make him really happy.�
Luna_Faline eyes adjust to the light as it gets brighter the closer we get to the end of the tunnel.
Claron: �I say...eat at your own risk, my love.�
DracBlue says to himself, �And in some cases horny.�
Claron: �Oh lord, no horny...please.�
Tabris: �I don�t think that�s a good thing in a fight,� Tabris cringes at the stone.
Claron: �Well, guess you could fuck �em to death.�
DracBlue says, �Well, he could just eat them, too.� He says jokingly.
Tabris: �I�ll pass.� Tabris shakes his head and hands the stone back, �Got anything that doesn�t involve Drac Jr.?�
Shadow tosses a throwing axe back to Drac.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head then looks ahead. The scout reaches the opening then crouches, crawling forward slowly to peer over the edge of the outcropping.
DracBlue catches it and hands it to Tabris.
Tabris nods and raises the axe, �Cheers,� eating it quickly, he burps softly, �Oof.�
Luna_Faline creeps out and moves carefully to the edge next to the scout and looks down.
Vin_Da_DM: The mountain side slants downward to the summit of the pass. The large open area has two exits down either side of the mountains, caravan-sized roads carved from the very rock. A good number of the wolf-creatures are patrolling.
Vin_Da_DM: An unnatural excavation is opposite the outcropping you are on, with two larger creatures digging away at the rock. The black hooded figure stands several paces behind them, watching them work with his arms folded.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout looks towards one of the road down the mountain, noticing some movement in the rocks to the side she pulls out a small cylinder. Setting it down it silently shoots something into the sky which lets out a small glow of light before fading away.
Luna_Faline sees the wolves and hisses as I watch the creatures digging.
Clarice: �Well, fuck me running.... back to the dogs and the black hood.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Must be the signal,� Eclipse says quietly to himself.
Tabris pops his knuckles then looks at Claron.,
Cara trembles as she sees the black hooded figure.
Vin_Da_DM: The scout turns to look at everyone and gives a nod. Motioning with her hand she holds out three fingers. Lowering them as a count she bolts to her feet at the end, �Now!� Jumping off the outcropping she aims for one of the creatures with her sword down.
DracBlue watches Cara and smiles, whispering in her ear. �You�re not alone this time.�
Shadow rushes at another one of the creatures throwing a dagger at a different one while he rushes one, then pulls his axe out.
Valrash takes to the sky and dive bombs one of the wolves.
Kyra closes her eyes. ~Good luck to us all,~ she grimaces.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne jumps off after the others, landing on his feet he pulls out his two-hander sword and attacks one of the creatures. At the same time Weston�s soldiers storm up the road attacking as well. A pair of archers loose their arrows.
Luna_Faline follows the scout over the outcropping with both sais ready to fight.
Clarice unsheathes her sword, running along with the others, she slices the first creature she comes to.
Katie leaps off the edge as well, her sword pointed downward, uttering a fierce cry.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks at Kyra, �Here goes nothing.� Twirling his dirks he looks over the edge waiting as he times his jump.
Luna_Faline runs at a beast digging into the mountain and jumps on it�s back, driving the sais into both sides of it�s neck.
Kyra nods, �Be careful, love,� she whispers, unsheathing her own sword and doing a back flip off the outcropping to land in the middle of a wolf, driving her blade into the base of it�s head.
Vin_Da_DM: Valrash slashes the side open of his target, as Katie manages to wing one on the shoulder. Eclipse slides down the cliff as best he can before sinking his sword into a wolf near Luna.
Claron thinks of her fingers being a lighter and propelling fire out of them as she raises both hands at two of the wolves near her.
Vin_Da_DM: Landing Stryder turns giving Kyra�s target a quick double stab in the side ensuring it�s demise. The dark hooded man turns, letting out a small chuckle he watches.
Valrash throws a fireball at one of the beasts with his other hand while grabbing the neck of it with his claw hand and tries to turn its neck in an unhealthy way.
Tabris flies down, less than agile, and sinks his claws into a wolf finding them very effective. �Not bad��
Kyra blows Stryder a kiss, grinning, then whirls as another wolf advances on her, snarling.
Luna_Faline ears perk at the man�s chuckle and glances at him, plotting his demise.
Clarice shifts her gravity as she races up the side of the mountain and back down at an angle to impale a wolf near its edge.
Vin_Da_DM: Claron finds herself being stared at by two wolves with literal fiery tempers.
DracBlue says, �Cara, you can�t freeze when you see these people�lets go�before they think you have turned on them again.�
Katie: �Dammit. All I did was piss it off.�
Cara concentrates on the gravity of the wolves staring at Claron and tries to toss them over the side of the mountain.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston�s soldiers have a harder time downing their wolves than your group, but seem to be doing well enough. Weston stands near the archers, loading another bolt into his crossbow.
DracBlue starts summoning throwing daggers and throws them at different targets.
Vin_Da_DM: The beast digging shakes Luna off, growling, but he continues to dig. The hooded man turns to look at her, �It�s rude to interrupt, if you wanted to play you had merely to ask.� Raising a hand about six wolves appear out of a thick red mist that seems to emanate from the man.
Tabris: �Babe, watch your head!� Tabris shouts out as he discus throws one of the wolves at the two flaming ones, bowling them over.
Luna_Faline sees the mist as she lands on her feet. Throws a sai into the middle of the mist as the wolves appear.
Arwyn continues to load arrows in her bow, firing them in rapid succession at the wolves with near perfect accuracy.
Vin_Da_DM: The sai flies through the mist, clanking against the rocky ground. The man chuckles as the wolves begin to surround Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse clambers over the rocks towards Luna, launching two large ice arrows at the wolves. Striking two they turn to engage him.
Luna_Faline quickly extends her claws growling at the wolves.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne turns and looks at Katie, �We can fix that, Kat.�
Claron ducks as she hears the sound of Tabris� voice before turning to shoot fire out of her fingers at another wolf.
DracBlue summons obsidian sais and throws it as close to Luna as he can without hurting her.
Katie gives a single jerk of a nod, whirling and thrusting her sword backward, aiming for the wolf�s throat.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir slides across the stone road, tossing his daggers at the wolves with precision. Downing one he rushes over to it to pry his blades lose.
Shadow swings his axe down onto one of the wolves.
Vin_Da_DM: �Time to give the powers a spin,� Stryder says as he tosses his dirkss out and tries using Katie�s powers to move them about in a frenzy.
Luna_Faline roars and lunges at the closest wolf, digging my claws into it�s chest and ripping up to it�s throat.
Cara: ~If you want the wolves to disappear, you need to take out the black hooded one.~
Vin_Da_DM: The wolves continue to be downed, but are quickly replaced by the hooded man and the red mist around him.
Valrash turns and looks at the hooded figure, flies up and dive bombs him, trying to come up behind the hooded figure.
Luna_Faline feels an almost blood lust wash over her as she kicks a spike heeled boot at the next nearest wolf.
Vin_Da_DM: Catching a claw swipe on his thigh Eclipse growls, plunging a long icy spike into the wolf who attacked him.
Katie sees another wolf leap at her and concentrates on being somewhere else, and finds herself behind the black hooded figure. �Oh shit. That backfired,� she thinks.
Cara begins to concentrate on the hooded man, increasing her concentration consistently , picturing the bubble she has seen Claron do before, trying to encase him inside of it.
Valrash stops a few feet from the hooded figure when he sees Katie appear.
Luna_Faline feels the spiked heel drive into it�s groin and smiles viciously as she spins and kicks him in the chest with the other boot.
Katie grimaces and steps back and to the side, momentarily panicked.
Vin_Da_DM: The man conjures his two demonic blades and looks at Valrash. Turning he notices Katie and smirks, �You look a little scared, boy.�
Valrash starts concentrating on summoning a lava jet below the hooded figure to get his attention.
Vin_Da_DM: Despite her concentration Cara cannot seem to encase the man with the gravity bubble.
Katie raises her chin a notch. �Tis only because yer about as pleasant smelling as a three-day-old corpse in the desert,� she sneers.
Kyra sees Katie facing the hooded figure and pales. �Oh Katie, what did you do?� she whispers worriedly.
Vin_Da_DM Sliding to the side the man throws off the black robe, extending his wings he glances at Valrash, �Not bad for kin, but stay out of this.� Pointing a hand toward the lava jet he smirks at Katie, �The one smelling will be you, and it�ll be burnt.�
Luna_Faline lands on the wolf as he is shoved backwards onto the ground and drives the other sai into his head right between his eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: With his other hand he directs the red mist to conceal the larger wolves who are digging.
Katie raises both brows in surprise, before shimmering away and appearing behind Stryder with a surprised expression. �This is a damn handy talent, lad. But it takes a bit to maneuver.�
Valrash smiles, �Now how much fun would that be, if I couldn�t even test my own strength.� Swings his claw at the man while bursting into flames.
Luna_Faline runs at the man with her bloody claws aimed at the hand he made the mist with.
Vin_Da_DM: Lifting his swords quickly he blocks Valrash�s claw. Sliding back he allows Luna to dig her claws into Valrash�s flaming body.
Luna_Faline retracts the claws just as I get to Valrash�s flames and spins instead to throw the sai at the man�s throat.
Vin_Da_DM: �So...half-brother, how did you convince them?� Shifting a sword he blocks the sai, then continues speaking, �Let me guess, followed your whore of a mother�s idea to �look for a book about the Warriors�?�
Valrash eyes go white at the insult of his mother and the flames around him follow. �NO ONE INSULTS MOTHER!!! PREPARE TO DIE, WRETCH!!!!!!�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder turns and sends the flying dirks into a wolf closing in on Kyra.
Kyra jumps as the blades fly past her, coming back to her surroundings with a guilty look.
Luna_Faline jumps out of Valrash�s path and runs back toward the wolves extending her claws again.
Vin_Da_DM: �At least you have father�s spirit!� The man grins, �This should prove worthy entertainment while I claim my prize. And more company for your friends.� With a quick gesture to the mist larger wolves begin coming out of it to replace the smaller ones.
Valrash then lands and tries to grab the man�s armor.
Vin_Da_DM: The larger wolves start to overrun Weston�s soldiers, who clearly are outmatched.
Shadow runs to help Weston�s soldiers.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse begins launching misshapen ice spears at the large wolves.
Luna_Faline slashes thru several wolves as she makes her way over to Syne, growling, �I need the hilt of my sai.�
DracBlue keeps throwing obsidian daggers.
Vin_Da_DM: Blocking a wolf�s bite with the sword ,Syne looks at Luna, �One of the pockets, don�t have time to check!�
Vin_Da_DM: The man grabs Valrash�s hand, �I know your tricks, brother, you think father would send me unprepared?�
Valrash smiles, �He�s done worse,� and tries to use the contact of the hand to use living flesh to make it instead.
Luna_Faline reaches into the right pocket and grabs the hilt. �Got it,� running toward the mist with it in her paw.
Clarice slices at one of the wolves as she makes her way towards Eclipse, �You making these funny shaped spears on purpose?�
Vin_Da_DM: Smirking as Valrash�s attempt has no effect, the man tosses him away, �Come now, is that your best?� Bringing his two swords together they connect into one, which ignites moments later.
Luna_Faline gets close to the mist and throws the sai hilt at it roaring, �Take that!�
Valrash grips the ground summoning a spear. �Not even close, older brother. Just have to warm up.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Good, and please call me Bhaal, Valrash.� With flaming sword in hand Bhaal motions at Valrash.
Valrash says, �And besides�Father wasn�t around when I learned this trick. And don�t take it easy on me like normal, Bhaal.�
Valrash throws a jet of fire while thrusting the spear in it, to mask what it looks like.
Vin_Da_DM: Hovering off the ground Bhaal dodges the jet of fire. Extending his wings fully they ignite in a spectacular flare leaving an aura effect around them. Looking down at Valrash he smirks, throwing his wings forward about thirty streams of flame fly out, swirling around as they go.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s sai disappears into the mist, with the familiar white glow of Luna�s sai bursts out causing the mist to part and die down to a thin layer of fog just above the ground. The two large wolves have stopped digging and are trying to pry loose a large sparkling boulder.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse points at the wolves as he tosses the spears, �Makes them harder for them to rip out.�
Valrash smiles as he lets his fire burn hotter. He then flies up into the air avoiding the jets of fire and tries the same move back on his brother.
Arwyn loads three arrows at a time in her bow, firing them in rapid succession at the wolves and reloads her bow quickly to repeat the process.
Luna_Faline can now see the big wolves and runs at them with her claws extended, jumps on the ones back again and begins ripping him apart with her claws.
Vin_Da_DM: Bhaal raises his sword catching the fire jets on it, they swirl around it for a moment before combing into a larger stream. Swinging his sword at Valrash the stream follows the arc shooting out like a shockwave.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna tears out tufts of fur before reaching skin. After several chunks the wolf shifts it�s head at her and growls. Turning it rolls onto it�s side smashing Luna into the ground painfully.
Valrash smiles, �You know�unless we get in close combat, this will last all day,� as the fire passes him. He just takes the spear and starts swinging it at Bhaal.
Clarice nods, �I�ll be damned...I never thought of that.�
Vin_Da_DM: Bhaal blocks the spear with his sword, �If you prefer it quick��
Valrash pulls the back end of the spear upwards, then the front end back down, thrusting as quick as he can manage.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder manages to down another wolf, but notices the gash in his shoulder, �Gah...shaved a little to close.�
Luna_Faline rolls out of the way and calls the hilt to her. Holding it like it still has a blade I drive it thru the wolf�s gut.
Katie sees blood welling from her shoulder, �Well�Hell. Another beauty mark to add to the collection.�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s blunt sai appears to flash burn the area of wolf that it hits, which of course doesn�t please the wolf, who turns to the side and claws at Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: Valrash�s spear strikes red mist as Bhaal disappears and reappears behind him, slicing Valrash across the back with his sword.
Kyra snarls, �Is that all you can think of?� as she checks Stryder worriedly to make sure he�s alright.
Luna_Faline dodges the claws of the wolf and drives my own claws into the burned hide.
Vin_Da_DM: The wolf howls as Luna claws it. Struggling to it'� feet it tries to bite and claw at her.
Katie: �Excuuuuuse me, Darnier. I just already look like a fucked-up road map as it is.� Katie sighs. �You alright, laddie?�
Valrash growls and burns even hotter. Now in a blue flame, he starts spinning the spear and creating a flame vortex. �Another trick they don�t know about, yet.�
Luna_Faline goes for his jugular, locking her jaws around his throat and hanging on as her claws go for his eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: �I�ll be fine,� Stryder cringes as he tosses his twirling dirks into a wolf, causing them to attack like a butcher gone postal.
Katie sidesteps a lunging wolf, slicing it�s throat neatly, with a distasteful expression.
Vin_Da_DM: �Glad to see your talent hasn�t gone to waste, but the Warriors?� Bhaal shakes his head, �Such a pity, why Father had hopes for you fails me.�
Vin_Da_DM: The wolf flails about trying to get Luna off, turning it bashes the part Luna is clinging to against the wall of the excavation.
Valrash rolls his eyes as he pushes himself harder making the vortex more like a tornado, pulling in Bhaal to the bottom of it. �Father never had hopes for me, for I always followed Mother.�
Vin_Da_DM: The sparkling boulder begins to slide loose from it�s spot as the second large wolf pulls it harder.
Kyra gets hit broadside by a leaping wolf, hitting the rocks with a sickening crack, her high scream cut short at impact.
Katie drives her sword forward with an angry curse, catching the wolf in the eye.
Vin_Da_DM: Bringing his wings in Bhaal, throws them out causing the vortex to fly apart, �And that�brother, is why you�ll lose!� Swinging his sword he knocks Valrash�s spear away.
Vin_Da_DM: �Kyra!� Stryder rushes over attacking the wolf with the blades as he goes to check on her.
Luna_Faline feels the air knocked out of her as she hits the wall and let�s go of his throat. As she slides down the wall she goes under the wolf, reaches up with her claws and drives them up as she moves between his legs.
Valrash yells, �NEVER! Now feel my true power from Mother, you worthless little shit,� concentrates on Bhaal�s inner daemons to attack him while he rushes him.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne rolls across the ground cutting the front legs of a wolf causing it to stumble forward.
Kyra pushes the wolf away from her feebly. �Ugh. That felt decidedly nasty.� She struggles to her feet. �Thank the Goddess for youth and resiliency,� she wheezes.
Vin_Da_DM: Bleeding and howling poorly the wolf begins to collapse onto Luna.
Katie: "Kyra lass, you alright?� Katie wraps an arm around her shoulder gently, her voice concerned.
Luna_Faline crawls away as the wolf collapses looking for the next victim.
Shadow gets slashed across a leg and falls to one knee, but keeps fighting kneeling between the wolves and Lord Weston.
Kyra: �I lost my damned sword.� Kyra grumbles crabbily, looking around. She spots it a few feet way, under a snarling wolf. �Oh son of a�.�
Vin_Da_DM: Bhaal smirks, �Oh no, make it stop. The horror, the horror.� Shifting to the side Bhaal tightens the grip on his blade and swings decisively, giving Valrash an example of the ancient punishment for stealing.
Kyra staggers woozily toward her sword, obviously out of it.
Valrash growls in anguish, but brings the stump up, throwing blood into Bhaal�s eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: The number of wolves has thinned, several are still fighting and some are wounded but still moving.
Luna_Faline turns to look at the other digger catching her breath. Decides to change her attack plan and moves closer to Bhaal�s back, looking for a weak spot.
Katie: �Dammit, Darnier!� Katie takes off after her, spotting another wolf looking like it�s ready for a snack, and Kyra�s on the menu.
Vin_Da_DM: Bhaal lets Valrash�s blood splash on his face. Afterwards he chuckles, shifting his gaze to the second large wolf he grins. �An excellent test of skill, perhaps you�ll live after all, brother. But alas, I have come for what I wanted.�
Kyra reaches for her sword, as the wolf standing over it snarls louder, snapping at her arm.
Katie reaches to pull her back, as the wolf grabs Katie�s arm, sinking teeth deeply in.
Luna_Faline sees Bhaal distracted and throws the sai�s hilt at him, aiming for the back of his neck.
Vin_Da_DM: Bhaal flies down towards the wolf and the boulder. Looking around one last time he chuckles and begins gathering the remaining mist towards him.
Valrash smiles, �Now, that might be the case.� Ignites the blood on Bhaal�s face with the rest of his strength.
Katie hisses in a breath. Kyra grabs her sword obliviously, weaving through several more wolves and leaving Katie with a new armband.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s sai hilt arcs in the air, but misses, falling back down to the rocky ground.
Luna_Faline motions the sai to fly at him again from where it landed.
Katie blinks a few times, then punches the wolf in the face. �Let go, you overgrown fleabag. Usually I wouldn�t hurt a canine for the world, but dammit, you are just pushin� yer luck.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder jumps onto the wolf attacking Katie and begins stabbing at it with his dirks.
Kyra smiles dreamily at an advancing wolf. �Nice puppy,� she croons.
Vin_Da_DM: The second large wolf jumps into the path of Luna�s sai, taking it in the side. As the force for the sai hit flash burns a nice chunk into it�s side Bhaal complete conceals himself and the boulder with the mist. As the smoking wolf slumps to the side the air wave it�s fall makes blows the mist away.
Katie: �Ouch. Oh, dammit! Someone grab Darnier. She�s loopy.� Katie groans.
Cara screams out as one of the wolves pounce on her from behind, knocking her hard to the ground as she tries to make her way towards Kyra.
Luna_Faline motions the sai to hit the mist quickly as it blows away.
DracBlue slashes the wolf off Cara, lopping it�s head off and says, �See�I told ya I would protect ya.�
Katie: �Sorry about yer arm, laddie.� Katie tosses over her shoulder, extricating her arm from the jaws, and bounding after Kyra.
Vin_Da_DM: Something flashes in the mist to deflect the sai. The mist begins to fade away with Bhaal chuckling wickedly.
Katie: �Darnier, you idiot! Get BACK here!� Katie growls, just as the wolf bares it�s teeth.
Kyra: �Aww, poor lil guy. You look hungry.� Kyra starts to bend down toward the wolf.
Cara: �And you did,� gasping as she tries to push herself up from the ground.
Vin_Da_DM: The downed wolves and remaining living ones all disappear shortly after the mist does.
Valrash picks up his arm and places it where it should be looking at Luna. He says, �A little help?�
Luna_Faline growls in disgust as the mist fades. �Damn it, they�ve got it.� Stomping the ground in anger, �If they figure out how to refine it�we�ll never win.�
Kyra: �Where did you go, fella?� Kyra looks around.
Vin_Da_DM: �Damn it�� Eclipse curses then sits down on a boulder, apparently not noticing the cut on his arm and leg.
Luna_Faline retracts the claws and looks at Valrash with a sigh, �How in the hell did you do that?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder holds the wound on his shoulder and looks around.
Valrash sighs. �I was kinda the only one fighting Bhaal, you know�and he�s fast.�
Katie grabs Kyra and spins her around to look at her eyes. �Oh, you�re gonna have one mother of a goose-egg girl.� She sighs.
Luna_Faline reaches out and lays a paw on Val�s shoulder concentrating on reattaching the arm.
Luna_Faline withdraws her paw with a heavy sigh, �It�s not going to work.�
Valrash burns his skin together, letting his hand reattach, he screams and faints.
Kyra blinks.
Vin_Da_DM: Sabir rips part of his own outfit in order to bandage a wound on Arwyn.
Katie: �Oh lord. You�ve got yerself a concussion�don�t you, lass?� Katie puts an arm gingerly around Kyra and smoothes her hair.
Luna_Faline looks at the rest of the group and steps over to Clarice�s body. �Eclipse, you alright?� as she lays a paw over the cut thigh and heals it and the arm wounds.
DracBlue smiles and wipes his brow. �Man, I can see why Tabris doesn�t summon so much obsidian. It tires ya out quick.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Good enough,� Eclipse nods to Luna, �Best tend to the others, Stryder�s shoulder doesn�t look good.�
Shadow sits down and asks, �Are ye alright, lad?" He asks Weston.
Luna_Faline takes a deep breath and moves on to Katie�s shoulder and heals it leaving not even a scar, �There ya go, Stryder.�
Vin_Da_DM: Weston sighs and shakes his head at Shadow, �All good men, it will pain me having to tell their families.�
Luna_Faline moves over to take care of Stryder�s arm. �Katie, where you having fun?�
Arwyn makes her way over to the redhead teen that has a his arm around a young woman, �Maybe I can help.�
Shadow says, �If even one survived�and the outcome was favorable, then it was worth it. Or at least it is where I come from.�
Katie sits Kyra down on a boulder, sitting beside her as the pain begins to register in her mind. �Well, shit. I can�t even keep someone else�s body safe.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder nods to Luna then goes to retrieve his weapons.
Arwyn: �Looks like you have already taken care of it.� Kyra blinks up at the sky blankly.
Luna_Faline looks down at Kyra as Katie sits her down, �And where is Kyra hurt?� checking her over.
Tabris looks around, �Ahh, hell...damaged the body. There goes my deposit.�
DracBlue just says, �Eat metal. You�ll be just fine.�
Katie: �Thanks, Kitty.� Katie turns to look at Kyra. �Check her pupils. I think she's got a monster concussion."
Claron laughs, �Lost some feathers, too.�
Tabris sighs, moving over to Weston�s soldiers he picks up a few swords, apologizing to their owners before he does.
Luna_Faline lightly places a paw on Kyra�s head and takes care of the injury leaving just a slight headache and some confusion behind.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne sheaths the two-handed sword, whistling, �Self repairing, very helpful, Luna.�
Luna_Faline smiles at Syne, �Yes, it is. My favorite part of being an avatar.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Seems fate spared us and no-others,� Weston lowers his head after studying the bodies, �We are done here, I suggest we gather the living and head to Aventine.�
Luna_Faline looks around for Eclipse�s body, calling out, �Clarice?�
Clarice makes her way towards Luna, �I am fine, I think.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Her back, Luna,� Eclipse points noting the trail of blue trailing down the armor.
Luna_Faline looks her over, �Are you sure? I mean�take a real inventory, not just the outside.�
Shadow says, �Alright then.� Wraps a cloth around his leg and looks around the men for any survivors.
Luna_Faline moves behind her and moans, �Oh, Goddess�no,� looking over at Eclipse.
Clarice, �I feel fine�really...just a little tired is all.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse raises a brow and moves over toward Luna to look as well.
Vin_Da_DM: Noticing the wound on his body Eclipse cringes, �Gods...do what you can. We have to get switched back, and soon.�
Cara starts to giggle as she hears the sound of Claron�s stomach growl, then announces, �I�m starving...and wanting some of them fruit muffins in the worst way.�
Luna_Faline places both paws over the hole in the armor, �I know we do,� closing my eyes and focusing entirely on that body.
DracBlue raises an eyebrow� �Fruit muffins? Now? After what you just saw?�
Clarice raises a brow in Eclipse�s body, �That bad?�
Vin_Da_DM: Turning from the battlefield Weston whistles sharply, several horses whinny in response and begin plodding up the road from where they were out of view.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head, �With the condition my body�s in, injuries do not help.�
Clarice: �I�m sorry. I really thought I managed to get away relatively unscathed.�
Shadow walks up to Valrash, �Looks like this one survived.�
Luna_Faline breaks off as the wound seals over, �We need to move quickly, I don�t think I healed it completely.�
Vin_Da_DM: Weston looks around and speaks up, �We should not waste time here. If you are ready, we should go while we have the suns.�
Cara: �I don�t know why�I just have such a craving for them,� smiles at Drac.
Vin_Da_DM: Nodding to Luna, Eclipse looks over at the horses, �Clarice should ride one, avoid further damage from walking.�
DracBlue smiles back, �When we get to town, I�ll get ya some. Ok?�
Claron looks over at Tab, then back at Lord Weston. �I couldn�t agree more.�
Luna_Faline looks at Weston�s horses. �Yes, she should.�
Cara: �Okay.�
Shadow chuckles, �Looks like this one will have to be tied to a horse. A little help here, Tab. I cant carry him, he�s too heavy.�
Vin_Da_DM: �Those who are unable to walk can ride,� Weston says as he checks the saddles on the three horses, and rummages around in one of the saddlebags. Pulling out a wrapped half-loaf of bread he tosses it to Cara.
Clarice: �If you think I should ride, I will,� making her way over towards one of the horses. Placing a foot in the stirrup she slides her other leg over the saddle.
Tabris: �Sure,� Tabris walks over to Shadow and looks down at Valrash, leaning over he grabs Valrash and pulls him up.
Luna_Faline watches as Clarice mounts the horse and nods. �I just hope we get there before the suns set.�
Cara catches the half loaf a bread, �Much obliged�thank you,� as she tears a hunk of bread off and eats it.
Tabris moves over to one of the horses then turns, �Cara, get over here.�
Cara starts to move towards Tabris, still eating pieces of bread, �Yes?�
Tabris: Lifting Valrash Tabris looks at Cara, �Think you can ride with him to make sure he doesn�t fall off?�
Luna_Faline shakes her head at Tabris and Cara and purrumbles, �I don�t think that�s a good idea,� under her breath.
Claron�s face takes on a pouty look, then Cara says. �I suppose I could do that, but do I really have to?�
Tabris: �Yes,� Tabris looks at her, his expression seeming more concerned about her then Valrash.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston watches everyone getting ready, �There�s an extra steed, for whomever needs it.�
Luna_Faline moves over to Tabris, �I really don�t think that this is a good idea.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse takes a position to one side of the horse Clarice is riding on, keeping an eye on her.
Cara grumbles, but climbs up on the horse behind Valrash like asked.
Tabris: �Well, we can put him on the third horse if you think that�d be better.� Tabris says giving Luna a quick glance.
Kyra holds her head, swearing softly.
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �No, that�s not what I meant.�
Luna_Faline looks up at Cara, �You be careful, and take it slow and easy up there.�
Cara slides one arm around Valrash to take a hold of the reins, �Yes, ma�am...Its not me you should worry about, its him. He says one wrong thing to me�I going toss his ass off.�
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �That doesn�t concern me.�
Cara gives Luna a puzzled look. �I will be careful, I promise.�
Luna_Faline lays a paw on Tab�s shoulder and heals Drac�s body as well as I can. �Keep an eye on her.�
DracBlue stands next to Cara�s steed, �Don�t worry, I�ll be here to protect her.�
Tabris: �I intend to,� Tabris nods to Luna.
Luna_Faline looks over at Drac and sees Tab�s thigh is bleeding. Steps over and lays a paw on his leg, �Here now.�
Vin_Da_DM: Seeing no-one else using the last horse Sabir climbs on and offers Arwyn a hand up. Once the three horses have riders Weston nods, �Is everyone ready to move out?�
DracBlue and Shadow nods.
Tabris reaches over and grabs Claron�s hand to walk with her.
Luna_Faline moves back to the horse with Clarice and Eclipse. �Let�s hope we make good time,� calling the sai�s hilt to me as almost an afterthought.
Arwyn takes Sabir�s hand and quickly finds herself sitting behind him in the saddle. Wraps Sabir�s arms around Arwyn�s waist.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse takes the reigns of Clarice�s horse and makes a sound to get the horse moving as he starts walking.
Vin_Da_DM: Weston looks back at the bodies of his soldiers and lowers his head and says a prayer softly, �Goddess guide you to the next life, may you be happy again.�
Cara clicks her tongue, holds the reins not too loosely, signaling her horse to start walking.
Luna_Faline rests a paw on Clarice�s foot and walks behind Eclipse, praying silently. �Misstress, please, don�t let this happen.�
Clarice feels herself becoming weaker and slumps over in the saddle.
DracBlue follows Cara�s horse.
Shadow follows behind, keeping the back up.
Luna_Faline reaches up and grabs Clarice, �Eclipse!�
Valrash starts mumbling in his sleep.
Kyra stands and shuffles forward, with Katie following, watching her carefully.
Cara wraps her other arm around Valrash�s waist to make sure he doesn�t fall off the horse while he is out, not unless she wants him off.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks up at Clarice and checks on her, �She�s unconscious, at this rate we�ll have at the most a day.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks over at Kyra and Katie, trying to think of something to say but not finding the words.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne wipes a paw over the bloody fur, �Damn it, she�ll need a bath to get the stains out.�
Kyra looks over at Stryder and tries to give him a reassuring smile, wincing at the pain in her head.
Katie sees the smile and looks sullenly at the ground.
Luna_Faline grabs the amulet and starts praying again as we walk.
Vin_Da_DM: The road from the summit turns down the mountain, but is clearly a well traveled road, so the descent is easy. The soft fog that was clouded view of the lands below the mountains begins to thin as you continue down, the sound of rushing water begins to fill the air.
Vin_Da_DM: As you leave the cool mountain air behind, the breeze begins to warm a bit. A cascading waterfall draped with ferns roars to one side of the trail down the mountain, creating a deep blue river that quietly weaves it�s way towards the great city as well, pockets of tree line the riverbanks as well as several waterwheels with nearby farms.
Vin_Da_DM: The green expanse of grassy plains soon fills your view. From here you can see the road wind it�s way around farm lands dispersed throughout the plains. Eventually the road makes it�s way towards the large marble walls of Aventine glistening in the distance. As the setting suns begin to sink into the horizon behind the city it starts to glow beautifully.
