Vin_Da_DM: Previously on Warriors of Destiny: Onboard the Ruinhammer enroute to A�dal, the Warriors got some time to prepare for the battle ahead of them. Once they exited hyperspace with the rest of the fleet the battle began only moments later.
Vin_Da_DM: As the ship to ship battle increased in ferocity boarding craft from the enemy command ship, Dextera Ex Malum (Right Hand of Evil), began heading for the Issik, the Gul-Qian command ship. Gabe ordered the Ruinhammer to intercept them.
Vin_Da_DM: Soon the enemy had boarded the Ruinhammer and Gabe gathered up the Warriors to repel them. A smaller group of Warriors took to the Ruinhammer�s fighters helping fight the enemy outside the ship.
Vin_Da_DM: Defeating the first boarding party the Warriors moved to intercept the next one, but found themselves in an odd trap set by Voyager. With the trap triggered a strange void began closing in on them, eventually transporting them to the enemy command ship.
Vin_Da_DM: Several groups from other ships in the fleet were also present and Voyager addressed them all asking them to reveal the location of an �artifact� hidden somewhere in the fleet. Any incorrect response or defiance would result in Voyager killing the group and destroying the corresponding ship they were from.
Vin_Da_DM:*Time passed: None*
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager waves his hand semi-opaque white walls surround each group separating them from the others and giving a blurry view through the walls. Somewhere across the large room a bright flash is followed by sharp screams of pain.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe turns crosses his arms, the green flaring of his eyes shining off his sleek black carapace, �I have no intention of telling him the truth, I suggest we form a plan.�
Vin_Da_DM:$ Start
Shadow_Watcher looks around, �I have no clue what the item is that he speaks of.�
Valrash raises an eyebrow ,�Wasn�t I just in a fighter?�
Claron looks around at the others, �What artifact?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Yes�� Stryder glances around looking confused.
Clarice shrugs her shoulder, �I haven�t got a clue.�
Valrash walks over to Cara, ~Well, at least we both stayed alive.~
Cara keeps her eyes focused on Stryder while blocking any thoughts in return to any of the others.
Kyra wrinkles her nose, �Beats me.�
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe eyes Claron, �I do not believe he�s talking about the orb, which means he wants the other�� Pacing a bit he rubs his chin with a black claw, �If it does as I�ve heard, it will allow him access to the realm where your goddess lives.�
Katie continues to stare at the floor, a blank expression on her face.
Luna_Faline looks from Eclipse to Gabe, �What are you talking about?�
Valrash sits down next to Cara and starts praying.
Claron�s eyes turn towards Gabe, �Other? What?�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse turns his attention to Gabe interested in the conversation as well.
Clarice listens to Gabe, �We can�t allow that kind of access.�
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe shifts his gaze at the opaque walls then up into the air, �It is better you not know, that...creature is looking for it and that is reason enough to say as little about it as I can.�
Luna_Faline growls in frustration.
Shadow shrugs and sits down, �Well, at least its a chance to rest,� and he closes his eyes.
Claron: �I�m not liking the sound of any of this.�
Tabris: �So, what�s our plan. Because sitting around here waiting for our pale friend to play 20 questions isn�t my idea of fun,� Tabris chimes in to the conversation as he stands next to Claron.
Claron smiles sweetly at Tabris.
Vin_Da_DM: Another flash accompanied by screams sounds from another of the newly formed �rooms� in the cavern.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse kneels down touching the ground where his shadow strikes it, �Whatever was blocking me on the ship is stronger here��
Valrash keeps praying, semi ignoring the conversation.
Claron shivers briefly as she hears the sounds of the screams.
Vin_Da_DM: �Then we should try other ways,� Stryder says shortly before shimmering out. A few seconds after he does part of the wall pulses and Stryder reappears thrown back to the ground.
Katie: �Swallowed by a black hole.� Katie murmurs in a flat voice.
Luna_Faline turns to look at Stryder.
Vin_Da_DM: Staring up at the ceiling Stryder groans lightly, �That hurt��
Luna_Faline: �That looked painful.�
Claron gasps aloud as she witnesses Stryder�s shimmering experience.
Shadow comments to Katie, �You alright, lass? You seem a little off.�
Kyra takes a hurried step toward Stryder, but bites her lip and keeps her place.
Vin_Da_DM: �It�s not the first time,� Syne looks at Katie concerned then down at Shadow.
Cara wrinkles her nose as she sees Kyra hurry toward Stryder and then stop.
Katie: �Tell them it was on a ship we lost in a black hole.� Katie says again, still no expression or signs of life on her face.
Luna_Faline looks around the group briefly, �Well, I have no clue what he�s looking for.�
Valrash pipes up, �Her inner demons are having it out with her. I feel sorry for her, but I can�t help her�its far too powerful for me to subside.�
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe shakes his head then lays his hand palm down in front of him trying to manipulate the floor. Sighing he looks up at Luna, �Then we�ll have to fight him.�
Kyra continues to chew her lip as she watches miserably.
Cara chuckles quietly to herself.
Luna_Faline nods, �That�s what I thought you�d say.�
Claron: �Great! Just what I thought you would say.�
Clarice: �Imagine that��
Valrash: ~What�s so funny, if I might ask?~ he directs at Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: Shortly after another group cries out following a flash several ships in the cloudy-view of the battle outside are destroyed by the large purple energy spears originating from the ship you are inside.
Luna_Faline moves closer to the wall and studies it. �So how do we hurt him, before he gets us?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Suggestions? You look as if you�ve encountered him before.� Gabe says watching Luna study the walls.
Cara keeps her focus on Stryder while remaining vocally and mentally silent.
Katie: Last two times we saw him, someone died.� Katie finally looks up.
Vin_Da_DM: ~What do you want?~ Stryder shifts his gaze to Cara sending the message to only her.
Luna_Faline sighs, �And we didn�t have very good luck dealing with him then, that�s how we got here now.�
Valrash opens his eyes from his prayer and talks to himself, �So, that is what her demon is about. No wonder I can�t help her.�
Cara locks her eyes with Stryder�s yet remains silent to him.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shifts his gaze around the group before returning it to Luna, �I observed that he can apparently absorb powers directed at him.�
Luna_Faline turns to Eclipse, �Yes, so how does that help?�
Shadow chuckles, �Then he would be a perfect candidate for a axe to the face,� and chuckles.
Luna_Faline begins to pace, �Can we send him too much power and overload him?�
Claron pipes in, �That�s true enough. Yet, when we tagged teamed him�we were able to rid ourselves of him...temporarily, anyways.�
Tabris: �Seemed to work the last time...or least that�s what I thought.� Tabris says in comment.
Shadow asks, �Is he the one who killed Drac?�
Vin_Da_DM: �I will do what I can, but this cavern itself seems resistant to my abilities,� Gabe says studying the �room� and then glancing up at the ceiling.
Katie: �Yes.� Katie whispers.
Luna_Faline pauses briefly, �The sai didn�t seem to have much effect on him,� resumes pacing.
Shadow looks at his back as the wing vibrates at he sound of Katie�s voice.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Your quiet...that isn�t like you. What are you planning?~ Stryder looks Cara over trying to figure out what she�s really doing.
Claron�s eyes follow the movement of Gabe�s head as he looks up at the ceiling.
Katie looks at the wing, and sadness creeps into her expression.
Cara hears Stryder in her mind, smiles inwardly, but keeps her telepathic quietness.
Vin_Da_DM: �Which means he�s either immune to it, or something is shielding him,� Eclipse moves over closer to Luna.
Shadow looks at the wing astonished, �It shouldn�t be able to move like that. Tell me, how did Drac die?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Painfully,� Syne looks at Shadow with a stern expression before turning his attention back to Katie.
Kyra watches, while her fingers rub unconsciously at the cut on her thumb.
Katie sways a bit.
Vin_Da_DM: �Kat?� Syne notices her swaying and moves closer in order to catch her.
Luna_Faline stops next to Eclipse and looks up, �What could block it?�
Katie looks up at Syne, suddenly she looks like a tired, lost, frail child.
Shadow shakes his head but drops the subject.
Vin_Da_DM: �I�m not sure...could be this ship, could be something else,� Eclipse shakes his head unsure, �The ship is one the blocking my access to the Shadow Realm.�
Katie turns to look at Shadow, pain causing creases to form on her face. �He�he pretty much had the life sucked from his body while we watched helplessly. It was over before I could blink. He�� her lips clamp shut and she buries her face in Syne�s chest.
Luna_Faline looks at the room, �What would happen if I used the sai on the walls?�
Shadow thinks in contemplation and starts to pet the wing, grooming it.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne quietly wraps his arms around Katie and looks at Shadow. Shaking his head at him he looks back at Katie.
Kyra rubs so hard the cut begins to bleed again, just a bit.
Valrash looks at Tabris, �Thanks for saving my ass out there.�
Tabris: �Worth a try, but we sure as hell are getting out of the way, I ain�t getting shish kabob�d.� Tabris says to Luna moving to another section of the room.
Luna_Faline looks at Tabris and smiles, �You not ready to go out like that?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder turns his attention away from Cara back to Kyra.
Claron secretly hopes Katie will snap out of it, since its going to take all of us for the battle, as she see�s Syne cradle Katie.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe gives a quick glance to Luna�s sai, �If you�re ready. Everyone move out of the way.�
Vin_Da_DM: Several more of the �rooms� light up with a flash and screams, growing closer from the sound of it.
Kyra steps quickly away, still worrying at her thumb.
Claron moves beside Tabris away from Luna.
Shadow and Valrash move out of the way.
Vin_Da_DM: �You shouldn�t have picked at it,� Stryder says taking Kyra�s thumb and applying pressure to stop the bleeding.
Clarice follows suit just as Cara moves backwards.
Luna_Faline draws the sai and moves to a wall away from the rest of the group, raises the sai and says a quick prayer to the Goddess that it will work. Takes a deep breath then strikes the opaque wall with the blade.
Kyra: �I wasn�t." Kyra says, looking at her hand in his.
Katie backs away from Luna and the sai quickly, her face returning to it�s neutral expression.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s sai hits the wall and sticks in it for a moment, then hums loudly before shooting out. Slinging across it clips Luna in the shoulder before clanging to the floor. The wall stutters where it was hit then seems to grow thicker in response.
Claron gasps as she watches the sai clip Luna�s shoulder.
Luna_Faline looks at my shoulder hissing as it heals over, �Damn it, this was a new jacket, too.
Valrash stands up and concentrates at the wall to see if its a living entity.
Luna_Faline holds out my paw and the sai comes back to my paw as I study the wall. �Well, that didn�t seem to help any.�
Vin_Da_DM: Valrash gets no reading from the wall but an overbearing sense from the rest of the ship.
Valrash says, �I can�t tell if its even living or not.�
Luna_Faline looks at Eclipse then Gabe, �It did seem to do something for a second, maybe if someone else hit it after the sai it might work?�
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe moves over and studies the wall where it was hit, �Increasing it�s defenses when struck��
Vin_Da_DM: �Perhaps...but we should try another area, I doubt it�ll work on that same place,� Eclipse says studying the perimeter of the room.
Claron: �That IS MOST certainly not good��
Luna_Faline moves around the room, �Where do you think we should try now?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder moves his fingers to see if the blood has stopped, �All better?�
Vin_Da_DM: �We seem to be the last group in a line, so any wall but that one.� Gabe points to the wall behind him without looking at it as he continues studying the wall he�s at.
Kyra looks up at Stryder uncomprehendingly.
Tabris: �Few more of those flashes and we won�t have to worry about the other groups,� Tabris says noting the flash and screams of yet another group.
Cara feels an ache in her heart as she watches Stryder with Kyra while maintaining her quiet, calm composure.
Cara remains motionless and expressionless.
Valrash just stands back thinking to himself.
Shadow looks for the person responsible for holding them.
Luna_Faline looks at the walls, �And who is going to do the second strike?�
Vin_Da_DM: �I unfortunately cannot,� Eclipse looks around at the others giving them glances.
Shadow volunteers.
Cara smiles inwardly to herself only.
Valrash volunteers.
Valrash holds a fire ball up as it grows in size.
Claron: �Maybe I could manipulate the gravity of the sai on impact?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Everyone clear out from the wall we�re going to try it on,� Gabe says watching the group.
Shadow stands back.
Valrash lets the fire extinguish and steps back as well.
Claron obeys Gabe and moves out of the way.
Tabris looks around and follows Claron out of the way. �I hope this works��
Luna_Faline walks the length of the wall and stops looking at the corner where the two walls meet, �I wonder if this is a weaker point?�
Clarice moves back while Cara moves to a different vantage viewing point of the other Warriors.
Vin_Da_DM: �Worth a try,� Eclipse says.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne nods in agreement with the plan but keeps his gaze on Katie trying to figure out what�s going on.
Luna_Faline raises the sai and looks around at the group, �You all ready?�
Kyra shuffles out of the way again.
Katie moves woodenly to stand beside Kyra.
Luna_Faline pulls her paw back and drives the sai into the corner of the wall dodging to the side quickly to get out of the others way.
Claron watches Luna closely and concentrates on the gravity of the sai making it heavier as it hits the wall.
Vin_Da_DM: The sai sinks deeper into the wall this time, causing a louder hum. As if in response the sai gets thrown back with more force, this time ricocheting off another wall before hitting the ground.
Valrash throws a fireball at the wall.
Claron shakes her head as the sai comes back more forcibly.
Shadow throws an axe at the wall.
Cara watches the others.
Luna_Faline calls the sai back to me and dodges the axe.
Vin_Da_DM: Valrash�s fireball hits the wall, burning Shadow�s axe in the process but causing the wall to break open a gap for a moment then sealing over again a few seconds later.
Clarice tries sending ice spears in behind Valrash.
Katie reaches behind her, resting her hand on the wall.
Vin_Da_DM: Clarice�s ice spears hit the now thicker wall and shatter.
Luna_Faline growls in frustration and shakes off the ice shards, �You guys have to be faster after I use the sai.�
Vin_Da_DM: The flash and screams are now only a few rooms over.
Tabris: �We�ve still got some wall space,� Tabris says and he forms two obsidian shards in a javelin type shape.
Valrash says, �Well, I can take some material off the wall and make a spear.�
Cara stands back tilting her head as she watches the Warriors.
Luna_Faline looks at Valrash, �The fire was good though.�
Luna_Faline looks at Cara, �What do you have on your mind?�
Vin_Da_DM: �She�s being the strong silent type,� Stryder comments in response to Luna�s question at Cara.
Valrash looks at Luna, �I try and its not enough�if the wall seals that fast.�
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �But it worked for a minute, if someone else strikes while it�s open from your fire, then we just might have something.�
Valrash concentrates on the thick part of the wall and makes a spear from it.
Cara smiles, �Is that the best you got? I could have sworn, you all are unstoppable.�
Valrash is now holding a flaming spear.
Luna_Faline moves to a different spot and gets ready to strike. �Well, you could help, Cara.�
Kyra looks worriedly at Katie, �Is there anything you can do?�
Cara: �I suppose I could��
Katie strokes the wall behind her back gently and tilts her head in thought.
Valrash starts concentrating on his spear, enveloping it in searing hot flames as he moves away from people so they don�t get burned.
Claron watches Katie and wonders what the hell she is doing.
Luna_Faline raises the sai, �Here goes, third try should be the charm,� drives the sai into the wall again.
Valrash throws the spear releasing a jet of fire behind it.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe lifts up his katana and curves his hands around the blade as he pulls a second blade from it and tosses it at the wall as well.
Luna_Faline dodges out of the way just in time.
Tabris throws his two javelins which turn into lava when they hit the wall.
Cara watches the others, �That's it... third time is a charm��
Luna_Faline retrieves the sai as it flies by and throws it at the wall where everyone else is attacking.
Vin_Da_DM: Under the stress of all the attacks the section of wall �shatters� for lack of a better word leaving a gap large enough for somebody to fit through.
Cara fires purple-blue bolts at the opening.
Vin_Da_DM: Cara�s attacks fly through the opening proving that it is indeed real.
Shadow and Valrash follow Luna.
Katie: �Tabrissss, no!� Katie screams, throwing up her hands and shielding her face.
Tabris raises a brow and turns to look at Katie, �What? What�d I do?�
Luna_Faline calls the sai back and stands to look thru the hole.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne looks at Katie confused, �He was just helping us get out, Kat.�
Claron jerks her head towards Katie, then quickly back at Tabris, �Flashback��
Tabris: �Flashback of what? She sounded terrified�� Tabris looks between Katie and Claron confused.
Katie keeps backing up, hands still in front of her face.
Claron: �Something we need to find out...and in a hurry, too�from the sound of it.�
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe looks quizzically at the group, �The wall may not stay open for long, we do not have time.�
Shadow and Valrash both leave the room.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks over at Katie then to Kyra, �What�s wrong?�
Kyra steps forward and touches her fingertips lightly to the back of Katie�s hand, �We�ve gotta move, Katie.�
Vin_Da_DM: The opening opens into the massive expanse of the cavern, the �rooms� as they are seem to be the middle of the massive chamber.
Luna_Faline climbs thru the hole after Shadow and Valrash.
Claron moves over beside Katie and guides her along.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse shakes his head then moves through the opening after Luna.
Cara: �Come on, let�s go��
Valrash thinks to Cara, ~Thanks for the help.~ Lets a smile leak through his thoughts.
Luna_Faline looks around the cavern for Voyager.
Tabris shrugs, still confused and heads for the opening.
Shadow looks at Tabris, �What did ye do, lad?�
Katie shakes her head halfway to the hole, �Huh?�
Vin_Da_DM: Luna notices that there are only 3 rooms left, the rest have disappeared and several sections of the cavern floor are smoking.
Tabris: �Something...apparently,� Tabris shakes his head, �I�m not sure what though.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder follows the others out of the hole.
Shadow says, �Women�they�re so unpredictable. I remember that one time my wife blamed me for just walking wrong.�
Vin_Da_DM: With another flash the third room�s walls fade away giving view to several smoking pot marks on the floor.
Luna_Faline prowls slowly around the remaining rooms growling.
Vin_Da_DM: �Looks as though we traded a small room for a larger one,� Gabe says slightly disgusted with the situation.
Luna_Faline looks at the remaining rooms, �We need to get them out before they die, too.�
Cara: �So it seems��
Valrash says, �I have no more materials for the spear unless you want me to try to take some from this wall.�
Shadow cries out, �Crimey�where did me axe go?�
Luna_Faline raises my sai to strike the wall of the cell, �I wouldn�t do that if I were you.�
Valrash: �Oops, so that�s where it came from.�
Cara: She�s right...we need to open it up.�
Tabris: �Just use one of mine,� Tabris says to Valrash tossing him one of his obsidian spears.
Shadow glares at Valrash.
Valrash concentrates on the spear that was tossed to him, changing it to his flaming spear.
Cara sends bursts of purple blue bolts behind Tabris.
Valrash gets hit by the bolts and says, �Oh baby, more.�
Valrash coughs up a small amount of blood from the impact but remains standing straight.
Luna_Faline hits the wall with the sai and moves quickly out of the way so the others can hit it.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe quickly replicates his katana again and throws it at the strike point on the wall.
Valrash throws his flaming spear with a jet of fire behind it. Afterwards, he falls to his knees breathing with effort.
Luna_Faline calls the sai to me and hits the wall with it again.
Tabris: The wall begins to show signs of breaking as with the last one. Tabris tosses a few shards at the wall which breaks it open large enough for a person.
Cara: �That�s it��
Valrash stands up and sighs, �I can�t do this much longer. Its too much strain.�
Luna_Faline moves to the hole and looks in, �Get out of there, before your next!� at whoever is in the cell.
Luna_Faline turns to look at Valrash, �We got one more to open up. Can you do it once more?�
Valrash looks at Tabris and says, �I need another if you can spare it.�
Vin_Da_DM: �How nice of you to open the door for me,� Voyager grins as he throws Luna back and steps through the opening, without looking back he points a hand backwards and shoots a large energy pulse through the opening causing the room to flash and several painful screams ring out from it�s occupants.
Claron feels chills go up her spine.
Vin_Da_DM: The walls of both �rooms� disappear leaving you in the large cavern with Voyager standing idly in front of you.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe holds up his katana in a battle stance, eyeing Voyager over the blade.
Clarice: �Great... That�s just great...I had hoped we had seen the last of you.�
Luna_Faline throws the sai at Voyagers neck as I land.
Valrash pulls his claw back and rushes Voyager as well aiding Luna and slashes at the man.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager chuckles as he pulls Luna�s sai out of his neck and quickly replaces it in Valrash�s side. Grabbing him by the arm he tosses Valrash to the side.
Luna_Faline jumps to my feet growling as I rush to Valrash calling the sai from his side as I run.
Valrash falls back as the blade pulls out of his side he spits up a fair amount of blood coughing.
Clarice chills Valrash�s blood until Luna reaches him.
Luna_Faline falls to the floor next to him placing my paws over the wound, �Damn it, cub. I don't need that kind of help,� as I heal his wound.
Vin_Da_DM: �Pity. Is that all you have to offer me? Spent all your energy working on your escape?� Voyager grins calmly, clearly amused.
Valrash looks at Luna, �Why do you save me? I have not proven myself to you.� He sighs and gets up after she heals him.
Luna_Faline shrugs, �Would you prefer I open that side up for you again?�
Valrash says, �Well, I thank you.�
Tabris creates several obsidian shards around himself.
Shadow tries to walk up behind Voyager and swings his axe at him, trying to stick it in his back.
Claron stands behind one of them shards.
Luna_Faline stands up and turns on Voyager, �I still have enough to deal with you.� slipping the sai into it�s sheath with a growl.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager turns in place and grabs Shadow�s axe blade in his hand. �My, my...heroes come in pint size now. How amusing.� Voyager sends a pulse along Shadow�s axe causing him to separate from it by several meters.
Valrash eyes his side, �Thanks,� and then starts concentrating, but fails. Shaking his head he holds up his hand and can�t seem to conjure any fire.
Vin_Da_DM: Looking over the axe he grins, �A sturdy blade, don�t you think?� Turning he tosses it at Kyra.
Shadow falls back and pulls out his pistol and shoots it at the man while he throws his axe at Kyra.
Vin_Da_DM: The bullet deflects off an invisible barrier around Voyager. Tilting his head he glances towards Cara, �Feel free to play your part anytime, m�dear. The fun is just beginning.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder looks between Voyager and Cara with a narrowed gaze.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne glances around, trying to figure out a strategy to use against Voyager.
Valrash looks at Tabris, �Toss me another spear if you can.�
Katie�s eyes flash briefly as she dives at Kyra�s feet, knocking her down, but out of the way of the blade. Then she picks it up and a slow smile begins to spread. �Didn�t yer mama ever teach you it�s not nice to throw things.� She holds the blade in her hand, and it begins to re-form into a razor edged boomerang .
Cara looks at Voyager then directly at Stryder, ~You could have prevented this...~ speaks calmly in Stryder�s mind only.
Vin_Da_DM: �Damn you!!!!� Stryder draws the dagger from his belt and charges Cara shimmering as he does so.
Cara dodges. ~Not so fast there.~
Vin_Da_DM: �Mmm...mum said a lot of things, but a good ear to ear with a knife made her peaceful,� Voyager smirks at Katie.
Kyra rubs her bruised hip and elbow and groans.
Luna_Faline tilts my head to the side a tad bit as I look at Eclipse questioningly.
Katie steps forward a few steps, her smile still peaceful. �Ah. Not a mama�s boy, then.� She twirls the boomerang in her hand expertly, her eyes never leaving him, she speaks in a soft tone, keeping his attention on her.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse growls, �There must be a way��
Valrash�s body seems to start burning at the disrespect of a mother and all of him seems to glow brightly. Then looks at him and his true demonic self shows a demonic voice rings out, �How dare you. You would kill your own mother.�
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager studies Katie for a moment, �Ahh, there it is...finally come out to play have you?�
Kyra: ~ I�m not sure, but I think she�s buying us some time to think�and act�.~ Kyra slowly gets to her feet.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shimmers again, this time getting closer to Cara and lunging at her,
Valrash�s eyes seem to go dark as he concentrates on Voyager.
Cara raises her hand, shooting streams at him as she moves quickly out of his range. ~ I take this is your answer.~
Vin_Da_DM: �Be mindful of your actions, boy,� Gabe shifts his glance to Valrash.
Katie cocks her head to the side. �My mam taught me never to play with boys who like to play rough. But me Da told me that no boy should ever mistreat a girl.� She takes a calming breath, �Yer the type of boy that needs a girl who likes it a little rough, I�m thinking.�
Luna_Faline extends her claws fully unsure now who to go after.
Valrash turns his head and breaks contact at the sound of his name and sees Cara under attack.
Vin_Da_DM: ~I see little I can say to sway you from your course.~ Stryder shimmers out of the way of the streams then appears a few feet from Cara.
Katie: �Aye, little Miss McKinnon. this is what you were born to do. This is who you are, is it not?� Katie frowns, for a moment then resumes her conversation. �Is that it? You want a girl who likes it rough?�
Cara: ~Its just three lil words... and actions that show it.~
Valrash seems to be rushing at Voyager, but then changes coarse and attacks Stryder. �Don�t hurt my friend.� He swings a burning claw at him.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager chuckles, �Words, words. More action...perhaps you can be persuaded.� Extending a hand Voyager draws Syne to him and extends an energy blade at his neck.
Cara looks defiantly at Stryder then sees Valrash rush at him.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne struggles against the invisible grip on him, �Damn it...kill the bastard, Katie!�
Kyra sends a gust to knock Valrash off his feet ,�Knock it off, you idiot!� she hisses.
Shadow runs up to Voyager and bites the hand that is holding the energy blade.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shimmers out of the way of Valrash, reappearing crouched on the ground. �So the half-demon is on your side as well��
Cara: � Seems...he thinks he is.�
Katie: �Told you. They all die. What�s the use in trying to save them?� Katie�s eyes narrow for a moment. �Only a coward takes a hostage. I guess yer not me type after all. I want a REAL man.�
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager knocks Shadow away with another pulse, then turns his attention back to Katie.
Katie steps a little closer with a shrug.
Valrash just says, �She said she is my friend�and mother said protect your friends. I would be fighting him,� points to Voyager, �But, no� you attack someone who is trying to help. Maybe you are the one on their side.�
Luna_Faline shakes my head at the chaos going on I move closer to Eclipse, �Who are we supposed to be fighting?�
Vin_Da_DM :�Ahh, but this one is more. I can feel it, the war inside you,� Voyager closes his eyes and grins, There it is...Black Widow is it?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Don�t listen to him, Kat!� Syne growls at Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: �I�m not sure�� Eclipse says to Luna glancing between Voyager and Cara.
Katie stops. �Aye, and so it is, love. Wouldn�t you like to feel my kiss, to know if you are the one who can beat the curse?�
Cara: ~How bout you let her watch her friend Claron die. Could send her over the edge.~ sends to Voyager only.
Katie reaches for the laces on her tunic top. �Is it hot in here?�
Vin_Da_DM: �Hmm...not as caring about him as I�ve thought,� Voyager grins at Cara for a moment. �Perhaps this one then,� Voyager grabs Claron with his powers as well and draws her closer.
Tabris: �Claron!� Tabris shouts out, the shards around him shaking in anger.
Claron calls out, �Tabbbb�� as Voyager grabs her.
Katie: �Two hostages, my my. Your manhood dwindles more and more. Alas, I guess you are not man enough.� Katie blows him a quick kiss, turning around to face everyone else, biting her lip and praying.
Vin_Da_DM: �Friend...hah!� Stryder eyes Cara. ~What you desire I cannot give...~
Shadow gets up from being flung across the room and runs over to Voyager and tries to leg sweep him.
Luna_Faline jumps as Voyager pulls Claron towards him. Hisses to Eclipse, �Is she inside his shield now or am I seeing things?�
Kyra is rooted to the spot, her knees trembling.
Clarice watches Voyager with Claron closely.
Valrash steps in front of Cara hiding her behind him, shakes his head and says, �Mother seems to be wrong in this case.� He holds himself in a combat stance.
Cara smiles, ~It is not YOUR desire that matters.~
Vin_Da_DM: �Pesky little runt�� Voyager points a hand at Shadow, who feels himself frozen in place as he is pulled from the ground to face Voyager. �Wait your turn, short one.�
Shadow says, �What? You can�t handle me, so you have to freeze me. I guess the lass was right, you aren�t a man�but a boy.�
Katie stops, turns and looks at Voyager again. �Although I must admit, you DO have the upper hand. What�s a girl to do?� She walks around him, first one side, then back around the other.
Claron�s eyes follow Katie around.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager smirks at Shadow, �A quick tongue...perhaps you and the �lass� should get better acquainted,� Voyager moves Shadow around and throws him into Katie.
Luna_Faline nudges Eclipse and motions at the shadows on the floor.
Cara pins Katie down when she hits the floor with chains of streaming pulses.
Luna_Faline sees Cara attacking Katie and shoots my claws at Cara�s neck with a growl.
Shadow falls away from Katie gets up and notices the boomerang. He picks it up and throws it at Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: ~Do you fear it so? Being accepted by us? Your father?~ Stryder looks at Valrash, �I have no fight with you...so I suggest getting out of the way.�
Cara stops the claws by firing a blast into Luna.
Luna_Faline dives and just misses getting hit by the blast.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager moves Syne into the path of the boomerang so it strikes him in the chest. Tossing Syne away Voyager smiles at Claron, �Quite enjoyable isn�t it?�
Valrash: ~I fear nothing, but my mother�s rejection. So I follow her words and one of them was protect your friend.~ �I have no fight with you, but I must try to save my friends.�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne growls and yanks the boomerang out, �Watch your damn aim, shorty!�
Claron looks back at Voyager, �Maybe for you�it is.�
Luna_Faline rolls away from Cara and sees Syne going down. �Oh Goddess,� I hiss as I move toward Syne.
Vin_Da_DM: Looking at Tabris Voyager studies Claron, �He wishes to attack, but fears he may hurt you...again.�
Shadow then runs up to Voyager and says, �Sorry, I�m just trying to help,� as he tries to leg sweep Voyager again.
Claron gasps as she cringes when she hears Voyager�s words, �He will do what he must,� as she looks directly into Tabris� eyes.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe moves over to Katie and grabs the streaming chains, growling as they burn his carapace he rips them away freeing her.
Cara growls as Gabe interferes.
Tabris stands ready to attack but gives Claron a fearful glance.
Valrash turns from Stryder and grabs a hold of Cara letting his hands not burn. ~WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NOW IS NOT THE TIME.~ He screams into her mind.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne shakes his head at Luna, �I�ll be fine,� the wound on his chest begins to seal over.
Luna_Faline nods at Syne, �Good, but now what? We�ve got divided fronts here.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse curses to himself, �If only I wasn�t being blocked��
Katie: �Tollllllld youuuuuuuuuuu,� Katie watches helplessly, then struggles to her feet once freed. Glancing at the magnetized boomerang, she frowns, then �calls� it to her.
Claron thinks strongly in her mind, �I trust you...I have always trusted you...even then��
Vin_Da_DM: The boomerang shakes in Syne�s hand, letting it go it drifts through the air gracefully to Katie.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder watches Valrash with Cara carefully.
Katie eyes her new toy. Balancing it on one finger, she turns it with her mind. �Hmm. Two equally appealing targets. I�m quivering with the decision.�
Valrash then holds her in place and then thinks, ~Now listen to me, if you fight them no�you will have no way to go back to either side. Think about your actions before you choose. The evil side will never take you back, so you must stay here with these people.~
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager smirks at Shadow�s attempt to sweep him misses as Voyager hovers off the ground. �So, my dear...shall we trust your dear husband�s faith?�
Cara simply gazes at Valrash, ~You will unhand me right now.~
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe clenches his burnt fists then grabs his katana again, eyeing Voyager over his shoulder.
Luna_Faline watches Katie with the boomerang wondering what she will do with it.
Claron quietly murmurs, �I do trust him.�
Valrash then says, �Friends point out the others wrong doing. If I didn�t do that�I wouldn�t be a friend.� ~Besides, if you do this now�who is going to get you out of here? Voyager? I doubt it, he�s just looking out for himself. He�s scared that if you were to help us he would fall. So he�s manipulating you. Think for yourself�why ruin what you have here? I could never have their trust simply because of what I am. ~
Luna_Faline draws the sai and holds it pointed at the floor and looks from Eclipse to Gabe.
Cara goes silent on Valrash in her mind, �Leave me be.�
Cara nods her head in Voyager�s direction.
Valrash: �I can�t do that, not when you threaten your own existence. You have been the only friend I have and I won�t let you kill yourself.�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks over at Luna, �The sai�� Extending his hand he looks at Luna directly in the eyes, �Trust me��
Shadow sighs and pulls on the man�s boot and tries to twist it.
Katie lobs it off to the side then sidesteps to �pull� it directly towards her, heading straight for Voyager�s back. As she does so, she tumbles toward Voyager, coming up to send the heel of her hand into the side of his knee.
Luna_Faline nods and sends the sai to Eclipse�s hand, �I do.�
Cara continues to gaze into Valrash�s eyes forcing him to move back away from her.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse takes Luna�s sai and jumps up stabs it into Voyager. Combined with Katie�s attack he loses his hold on Claron.
Valrash smiles, �Then I suppose that means your not my friend.� Smiles even more wickedly and holds her by the neck, the hand that holds her is now in white flame.
Claron adjusts her own gravity as Voyager loses his hold on her.
Valrash throws her to the floor head first.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager draws his hands together with a growling rumble, �So, you are a worthy challenge after all!� Splitting his hands quickly a large concussive wave hits everyone save Cara.
Tabris is blown back into the ground, rolling out of the way of his obsidian shards as they spear the ground around him.
Shadow holds on to the shoe for dear life, using his body weight to pull on his ankle.
Cara jams her fingers of streaming pulses at Valrash as Voyager sends the concussion wave.
Valrash hits the floor avoiding Cara�s streaming pulses. He rolls on the floor and picks up Cara and throws her at Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager stops Cara mid air and smiles at her, �Having some trouble, m�dear?�
Luna_Faline calls the sai back to me as I land on my tail, �I�ve about had it with the two of them,� growling.
Valrash screams and his whole body burns blue and he starts walking towards Cara and Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne gets to his feet huffing, �I hate being knocked around like sack o� taters.�
Cara: �None whatsoever,� as she manages to flip herself upright beside Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager turns his attention to Valrash and golf claps, �Impressive, do you do parties?�
Katie is knocked over, but gets to her feet again, grabbing the boomerang and slicing upwards between his legs, �I�m done. You ain�t my kinda man after all.�
Valrash looks at Voyager, �I�ll deal with you after her.�
Clarice rights herself after she picks herself up off the floor.
Katie: Then Katie giggles. �And now you ain�t a man at all.�
Cara glares at Valrash, �Consider me dealt with...my friend,� giving him a mesmerizing smile and look.
Kyra is blown back by the wave and is sent skidding on her back until the wall stops her. �Ow, ya fucker.� She groans.
Valrash opens up a decent size hole below Cara and starts sending jets of magma at her.
Vin_Da_DM: �Try not to finish him off to quickly, m�dear.� Voyager smiles to Cara then turn his attention back to the others. �Now then.�
Shadow punches at the spot where the cut is on Voyager.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder rubs his head and notices Valrash attacking Cara, �Fool��
Luna_Faline rests the tip of the sai on the floor resisting the urge to plunge it into the deck, �Yes, now then, what do you want so badly?�
Cara glares at Valrash as she sends flaming pulses redirecting Valrash�s magma and combining with her own pulses directly back at him.
Katie finishes her blow and falls to the floor. �It�s futile. Nothing we can do makes a difference.� A note of hopelessness tinges her whisper, �I failed again.�
Valrash sends bursts of heat yet again redirecting the bursts at Cara. Closes his eyes and sends a fire vortex around Cara trapping the magma in it with her.
Kyra rolls onto her side and rubs her head. �This is becoming an annoying habit.�
Cara: �Back off, fucker, as she outmaneuvers Valrash.
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse notices Luna�s movement, �Wait...Luna. Do it��
Luna_Faline catches Eclipses eye as I give in and push the sai into the floor.
Valrash smiles, �Now, now�such words from a pretty mouth such as yours�what is this world coming to?� He smiles as she maneuvers out of his vortex.
Vin_Da_DM: As Luna�s sai sinks into the floor the entire ship cries out with a low bass roar. Voyager doubles over in the air then lets out a rather painful sounding yell. �What are you....doing!!!�
Luna_Faline smiles up at Voyager, �Looks like I�m hurting your ship, and you.�
Valrash lets all the magma drop to the floor not wanting to concentrate on it further. He then sighs, �And all I wanted was a friend.�
Vin_Da_DM: From Luna�s sai a white glow spreads across the entire cavern. Voyager regains his composure and glares at Luna. Reaching out a hand a large dark purple cloud begins swirling out toward her, �Avatar, you will die!!�
Luna_Faline smiles sweetly, �I�ve heard that before.�
Shadow tries to kick Voyager�s arm.
Luna_Faline rolls away from the cloud and comes to my feet next to Eclipse hissing, �Are you still blocked?�
Vin_Da_DM: The cloud turns and continues after Luna, disintegrating the floor as it glides across it towards her.
Cara watches Luna...
Vin_Da_DM: Voyager knocks Shadow away weakly then starts retreating for a portal being formed several meters into the air.
Shadow pulls out his pistol and fires at Voyager again.
Luna_Faline calls the sai out of the floor and throws it at Voyager as he retreats.
Cara moves quickly pushing Voyager thru the portal.
Vin_Da_DM: Cara and Voyager disappear into the portal. The ship, now glowing white shows signs that is beginning to break apart, large cracks form along the walls and ceiling.
Vin_Da_DM: Luna�s sai, having had the portal close on it drops to the floor missing it�s blades. Just being a hilt.
Luna_Faline calls the sai back and looks down at what is left of it. �We need to get out of here while we can.�
Valrash extinguishes with his enemies out of the room he falls to his knees and starts breathing heavily.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe glances around then sighs. Laying his katana down he begins to manipulate the metal slowly building what appears to be an escape from it. Closing his eyes he continues to concentrate.
Shadow sighs, �How am I suppose to hurt them?� He walks over to Luna, �I tried.�
Vin_Da_DM: Several chunks of the ceiling break off, landing on the floor with loud crashes, causing the cracks on the floor to widen and spread.
Luna_Faline looks down at Shadow, �You tried, that�s what matters.�
Claron stumbles as she nears Tabris.
Shadow smiles at Luna.
Katie eyes one of the widened cracks, crawling toward it.
Luna_Faline holds the sai up and shakes my head, �Now what am I supposed to do with no blade?�
Shadow shrugs, �Try?�
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse eyes the disintegrating cloud, now floating around aimlessly. Shaking his head he turns to Luna, �Looks like we have a reason to visit Aventine now.�
Kyra sees the determination on Katie�s face, and gets chills. �Katie? Katie? What are you doing?�
Vin_Da_DM: Syne notices Katie moving toward a crack, �Kat! Stop!�
Luna_Faline sighs at Eclipse, �Yes, but not the reason I wanted to use.� Turns to see Katie crawling across the floor, �Oh Goddess, what is she doing?�
Kyra runs toward Katie, grabbing her by the arm and pulling. �Oh no you don�t, little lost girl.�
Claron instantly protectively manipulates Katie�s gravity.
Katie looks up at Kyra, �I failed. I failed again.� She mutters miserably.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe starts breathing heavily, his carapace disappearing back into his tattoos. Resting against the pod he looks back at everyone, �Get in��
Luna_Faline shakes my head at her and purrs to Eclipse, �I think we need to padlock the door when we get her back to her monk.�
Kyra shakes her head. �No, you didn�t. You were as brave as I�ve ever seen you.� She lowers her head to look Katie in the eye. �And frankly you scared the shit out of me. I thought you were really gonna make it with that cretin.�
Katie blinks. �Ewww.�
Valrash gets up walks over to it and gets into it.
Claron moves along with Tabris to the escape pod.
Luna_Faline moves toward the pod with Eclipse, �Let�s get out of here while we can. I hope we have a ship to get back to.�
Shadow picks up the boomerang looks at it then glares at Katie as he walks over to the escape pod.
Kyra laughs softly. �That-a-girl.� And helps her to her feet, pulling her along to the pod.�
Luna_Faline sees Shadow pick up the boomerang, �Be very careful with that thing.�
Clarice follows dreading having to tell Tewyn how well Cara lived up to her name.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne watches Kyra and Katie nodding approvingly then follows them towards the makeshift escape pod.
Shadow: �I�m going to melt it and make it back into me axe.�
Katie lopes along tiredly beside Kyra, �Your head is bleeding,� she says flatly.
Kyra gives her a sideways glance, �So is your nose. Big deal.�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder stares blankly where the portal was, �The chance was there...but no longer. You will never get what you want Cara��
Katie holds her hand out and calls her boomerang back.
Shadow holds it and growls at Katie.
Shadow finally lets it go continues to growl at Katie and sits away from her.
Katie holds the boomerang, kisses it fondly, and re-forms it into an axe-blade, then tosses it on Shadow's toe. �Careful where you swing it.�
Luna_Faline watches Katie take the weapon from Shadow shaking my head. �OK, can we go now?�
Shadow and Valrash both nod.
Tabris looks over at Stryder as he climbs into the escape pod.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder sighs deeply then turns and makes his way towards the escape pod.
Katie folds her hands in her lap and closes her eyes, �Failure. Look what your friendship did.� She sighs, �Shut the fuck up, already.�
Luna_Faline looks at Gabe, �Can you tell if there is anyone left on your ship from here?�
Kyra looks at Katie oddly, shakes her head and glances at Stryder, ~You okay?~
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe shakes his head, still breathing rather heavy. Glancing at his hand he cringes then quickly hides it. �No, but this will help them find you.� He tosses Luna a small blinking device.
Luna_Faline sees Gabe cringe and moves over to him as I catch the beacon, �Gabe?�
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder shifts his glance to Kyra, ~No, but I will be.~
Kyra nods sadly, ~Maybe she�ll come back�.~
Vin_Da_DM: Eclipse looks at Gabe curiously then over at Luna.
Luna_Faline takes Gabe�s hand in my paw and turns it over ,�Can I help you?� as I try to heal his burns.
Valrash looks astonished at his own bodily function as his tears fall from his face, �What in the holy hell? I�m leaking.�
Claron sits close to Tabris watching the others.
Kyra looks at her lap, �Do you know the damage you�ve caused, Cara? He may never recover from this.� She thinks to herself.
Vin_Da_DM: Gabe covers Luna�s paw with his other hand and shakes his head, �We will see each other again, I have no doubt of that. Please, get in the pod Luna.�
Tabris looks across the pod at Gabe, �Good luck man��
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �What are you going to do?�
Kyra: ~ I�m�I�m sorry, Stryder.~ Kyra chews her lip and looks away.
Vin_Da_DM: �Make sure you survive this...for the sake of the universe.� Gabe says calmly, his voice hiding a hint of pain.
Luna_Faline steps back into the pod and looks at Gabe and nods, �You, too.�
Claron grows concerned as she hears the pained sound in Gabe�s voice.
Luna_Faline bows my head to Gabe, �Take care of yourself.�
Vin_Da_DM: The glow in Gabe�s eyes changes to an off-colored glow as he nods to Luna, �The boy is strong, I will see him through this. Now go, and godspeed.� Gabe seals the escape with a thick glass window.
Vin_Da_DM: Pulling his hands back Gabe quickly thrusts them forward causing the escape pod to fly across the cavern. As it does you can see Gabe�s carapace re-cover him and he bows his head. The escape pod blasts through the wall of the ship and into space.
Katie: �Failure. Such a failure. You are a liability to them. You always were. You are less than nothing.� A tear squeezes out and trickles down Katie�s cheek.
Luna_Faline watches Gabe thru the glass for a moment. Using my tail for balance as he pushes us away.
Vin_Da_DM: Syne watches the tear slide down Katie�s cheek, �You gonna be okay, Kat?�
Luna_Faline sighs and looks down at the device in my paw. I hand it to Tabris, �What do we do with this?�
Katie: �I�m fine.� Katie says softly, not opening her eyes.
Claron watches as Luna hands Tabris some sort of device.
Tabris looks it over then clicks a switch on it, �That should do it...homing device I�m guessing.�
Clarice mentally practices in her mind how she is going to tell Tewyn about Cara.
Vin_Da_DM: The outer hull of Voyager�s ship lords over the view outside the escape pods window. The ship seems to shutter as the white glow from Luna�s sai attack pours out from the hole the pod made and begins spreading across the hull.
Luna_Faline sees Kyra�s head bleeding and runs a finger lightly over it sealing it quickly.
Vin_Da_DM: Stryder folds his legs up on his seat and buries his head.
Kyra smiles her thanks at Luna, then looks over at Stryder, her face crumpling a bit as she bites her lip.
Luna_Faline walks thru the pod, �Everyone else alright?�
Claron catches a glimpse of Stryder as he buries his head.
Shadow nods.
Valrash says, �I don�t know. I seem to be leaking, but its not blood.?�
Luna_Faline shakes my head, �I�m not worried about tears, only physical injuries.�
Valrash: �A tear. Hmmmm, ok then.�
Luna_Faline looks up at the ship hoping Gabe gets out before it disappears.
Claron nudges Tabris, �Can�t say I envy either one of them at this moment,� nodding first in Stryder�s direction, then Clarice�s.
Kyra dabs at Katie�s nose with her sleeve, which Katie doesn�t seem to notice.
Luna_Faline places a paw on Katie�s shoulder for a moment and the bleeding stops. I look at Syne questioningly, �You alright?�
Shadow watches Luna.
Vin_Da_DM: �Nothing a few meals won�t cure�� Syne smiles at Luna then looks at Katie again.
Valrash seems to not notice his surroundings as he just thinks and prays at his mother, ~Is this what you wanted for me to know? What this feels like?~
Kyra cleans off the blood as best she can, her sad gaze going from the near-catatonic Katie to the curled up Stryder.
Luna_Faline nods then moves over and slips in next to Eclipse, �We really have to find Voyager�s weakness before we see him again,� leaning against his side.
Tabris: �Our boy will need us now,� Tabris says to Claron looking at Stryder.
Claron looks over at Katie, �Okay, McKinnon...snap out of it...What precisely is the beef you have where Tabris is concerned?� asks while giving Katie, �NOW��look.
Vin_Da_DM: �Yes...but without his ship, he may be easier to defeat,� Eclipse leans back against the wall of the pod slowly so that Luna moves with him.
Katie opens dull eyes and says in an emotionless voice, �I don�t know.�
Claron nods her head slightly, �Have a feeling he will not be the only one needing us,� her thoughts drift to Clarice.
Claron catches Katie�s emotionless tone, �The hell you don�t...I know better��
Luna_Faline lays the sai hilt in my lap sadly, �It seems I have a problem keeping my weapon,� ears twitch at the conversation between Katie and Claron trying to remember a previous life.
Katie: �I�can�t remember.� Katie closes her eyes again on a sigh, after flicking a glance at Syne.
Claron: �Or you chose not to share is more likely, Kat.�
Vin_Da_DM: As the escape pod drifts clear of the bulk of the capital ship the debris from battle can be seen floating in a silent ballet in every direction from the pods window. The remains of Voyager�s command ship implode with a truly impressive and frightening dark purple cloud that seems to writhe in agony.
