This is a picture of the John Whitman House (the back view) in Round Hill, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia. This house still stands today, but has been gutted on the inside, but all main timbers and joices were left the same. These timbers were just set
in pockets with no nails, and the house is as straight as the time it was built. The walls are 6x6 inch
studs about 3 feet apart. The outside of the house now has siding, and the roof now has 4 dormers.
