LIFE IN ARKANSAS
1327 S Duncan. Shady Lane Mobile Home Park. And, mom was the "Naughty Lady of Shady Lane". It was quite a transition, but Mom and Dad were able to make a go of it and all and all it wasn't so bad. We got used to a slower paced lifestyle. By this time, Chuckie, who was still in Chicago, was following Dad's footsteps and was a member of the Chicago Fire Department.

On March 22, 1983, Brother Joe's son was born. Joseph Charles Tortorello or "Little Joey" became the 2nd grandchild. And Mom and Dad were delighted to have another baby around. In 1983, Mom and Dad moved out of Shady Lane Mobile Home Park to a place just east of Fayetteville called "Maggie Valley". There were good times there as well until 1985 when the folks found "Honey Lou Acres". This little bit of heaven on earth with enough living space for everybody is located in west Fayetteville. We all moved there in September 1985. On June 20, 1986, Angela Nicole Tortorello became Nonny & Pa's first granddaughter.
Brother Joe added two more Torts, Christina Marie Tortorello on December 13, 1988 and Michael Anthony Tortorello on November 8 , 1990. Honey Lou Acres was a great place to live and the 4 little Tort kids had a lot of good times in the wide open spaces. And, living next-door to your grandparents was an added bonus.
