Trumpeter Swans
These beautiful wild trumpeter swans are the result of the 1989 Eastern Canada Trumpeter Swan Reintroduction Program. I took this photo in summer 2001 at the Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre, Midland, Ontario. The Centre presently monitors and cares for a wild population of approximately 100 trumpeters. The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is a wonderful day trip for the family, and remains a very inexpensive but valuable program. For more info CLICK HERE.
